Good stuff, brings back the memories. I find it amusing that the formula for most ads in the 80s-90s (well, later half of the 20th) was either two people randomly talking about a product in their everyday lives, or somebody talking to the fourth wall.

Hey! Great job on all of your videos. I was wondering if you might have come across a commercial that is similar to the "HP Sauce Makes Beef Sing" which came out in the early 1990s. The "HP Sauce Makes Beef Sing" actually had 2 or 3 versions and features an "animated puppet" steer singing about HP Sauce. It most likely would have been shown on a Canadian TV channel. The one that I am looking for - which I think was for the HP Chicken and Rib sauce - featured an "animated puppet" chicken talking to an "animated puppet" pig about the pig's vacation to Italy. It starts off with them talking near the farmhouse and then the farmer comes out so they stop talking; then once the farmer walks away they continue talking. The dialogue goes something like this: Chicken: So Wilbur...how was your vacation? Pig: You know? Rome was great...I could spend all day in the Coleseum. Chicken: Know whatcha mean. I have been looking for this commercial on You Tube for years. Then I came across your channel and thought maybe you might have a copy or remember seeing the "chicken and rib" commercial. Is there any chance you have that one? :)

You will notice that commercials and print ads for support hosiery (this brand, Hanes Alive, Sheer Energy, etc.) usually depict the women wearing it as office workers and white-collar management types, especially from the 1980s onward. The intended market for that style was usually married, middle-class women in their 30s and above, who were not obsessed about their sexual appeal and dressed conservatively in suits and modest blouses and skirts--many snobbish, wealthy socialites would never dare to don support hose (no matter how sheer) since they considered it ugly and low-class. The hosiery firms intended such campaigns as counter-marketing strategies to the era of the 1960s/1970s "sexual revolution" when pantyhose was pushed to ladies otherwise inclined toward feminist-style dress (e.g., bell-bottom pants, jeans, knee-length skirts) as glamorous and alluring to gentlemen, not the girdles and stockings of old that their mothers and grandmothers wore. Compare the two and you will see what I mean. The difference in the ads may be subtle, but it's there.
