As the title old BBS titanium bolts have a habit of breaking when attempting to remove them , this is a great method of avoiding this problems , first bolt needs to be heated for 30 seconds and decrease this time as you go around the rim , I removed 80 bolts from a set of wheels and not one broke off !

What are the bolts ref if I want to change them by new ones?
Hi. What size of bit are using to take apart. Are you using wd40 with propane heat
Thank you so much, it's exactly what was wrong with mine
that's a side door not rear door
Yup but they are linked Via the central locking if there is a problem with the side loading door loom it also prevents the rear from locking !
I have literally just purchased some BBS speed lines and I’ve been told to remove the inner bit before I give them in for refurb. Thank you for the video ! I have been researching most of today and all I’ve read about is people breaking the bolts ! Lol. What bit are you using at the top ? Is it an M8 Spline ? I’ll appreciate your guidance before I start messing with the bolts !
Just got my first sprinter, and I have a non responsive rear doors when I try to lock them, so I will give it a try when I strip it out. Cheers.
No problems 99% of the time it will be the wiring loom/snake in the side loading door !!
@@z4phill Cheers, I'm planning in stripping out this week and over the weekend, so that will be first on my list, I will update you with the results.
love love you....honest energy...
Did you use anything to secure the bolts (loctite or similar) when refitting ?
Yes mate I used locktight on the nuts when I replaced them , did you use my method of getting the old bolts out , I didn't break one ! When I split my set I've bought another 2 sets to refurbish , !!!!
@@z4phill Hi Phil. Thanks for answering. No i have not tried yet to remove any bolts. I have given them all a little bit of WD40 on each head and then i will definitely try your method. I wonder how torque to use... 15-20 ft.lbs. Cheers.
Make sure you heat up the wheel with a blow torch have a look at my other video , 20 to 25 seconds with a map gas torch , it will soften the existing thread lock if you don't you will snap the titanium bolts !
Nice outing Phil!
