Ironically, getting into melee range is the only viable way for infantry to destroy a titan without ordinatus-class artillery. And those are sitting ducks for a titan.

Unironically this is technically valid straregy. Titans canonically and are doctrinally swarmed when outnumbered and alone by conventoonal armies, if so lucky they can be taken over before the princeps has a chance to overcome survival instinct and self detonate. This is even true of epic tabeltop. Lasguns have AP value only and wont penetrate War Engines, so FIX BAYONETS
