I'm excited to bring about Monster Bounties and then Akhenaten. I know teach one class now (very part-time) at a private school, so all my time goes to development which has undoubtedly been significant upboost to the work as you suggested.

Thanks so much for the positive remarks on this, and for hearing the Morrowind Modding podcast with DarkElfGuy! I'm surprised anyone has heard that or followed me that far back - that same high level of motivation has continued until now, it's just that it was diversified across so much. Now, I've simplified - returned home if you will - to the original priority, but now bearing gifts from a dynamic range of adventures. This was a vulnerable video to make - thank you for taking the time to listen.

Yes, as a student of ancient history, it was hard to pass up when you mentioned that you were working on a game based in Ancient Egypt in which you would play as a Pharaoh. I did wonder what happened to the couple of remaining mod ideas you had for Morrowind though! It's great to hear that your motivation hasn't diminished, and this video is good proof of that. I hope you make more videos similar to this one in the future as the projects move forward. Best of luck!

Well as far as my remaining mod ideas, there were two I'd designed in not insubstantial detail - one kinda turned into Akhenaten you could argue and the other was a bananas crazy transformation of Morrowind like an in-world total conversion mod. And no, I will never be making these - only games from here on out: 2920: The Last Year of the First Era Based on the events of the in-game books, I'd planned and R&D'd a mod that began with an Elder Scroll present aboard a ship in Ebonheart port that, if interacted with, took the player back in time and made them Emperor Reman III in the Imperial City in Cyrodil (a situation briefly touched on in The Lamp quest mod.) But in this I was going to remake the entire Imperial City from Oblivion (but set 2 millenia earlier) and allow the player to do some interesting things like control troop movement (it takes place during a war with Morrowind) via some hacky stuff I was testing out in the Construction Set. Things I had gotten done on this mod already included the Emperor's Bedroom and office, basic layout and districts of the Imperial City, a level with army tents (which was what you'd go to when a battle was about to begin), some R&D into making the lost race from the Elder Scrolls exist using Morrowind's vanilla assets (the snake race of the Tsaesci) and some Imperial alley-way level design and sewer stuff I believe. I wanted to make a 'game' where you play ruler of the Empire in the Elder Scrolls and make it so you can control what you'd expect an emperor control. Sound familiar? Lol Ghost Mod I'm sure I had a name for it but I don't remember, but I did have extensive notes though I likely won't find them. I wanted to make a mod so that, if you died, you would become a ghost in Morrowind and could continue playing but NPCs couldn't talk to you or notice you, nor could you pickup material objects - but other ghosts stuck in their ghostly state could be interacted with, and in fact Morrowind was filled with these ghosts stuck in the mortal plane, and some had setup towns of their own. There were side quests designed, ghost items, like I said a few ghost settlements you could go to and explore (one had a Mayor lol), and I was of course conforming this to lore so it wasn't just some out of the canon type of thing. I'm sure there were more specifics, but yea that was going to be the other one. Regarding Akhenaten - my motivation hasn't diminished - I'm most invested and interested in making this game and making it great now than I ever was. I'm coming at it with a lot more understanding than I had had before, and know I need to do the right steps in the right order. Good to know you are watching - I'll aim to make other videos like this on occasion.

​@@dotwaregames Both mods sound super interesting! I love the idea behind the Emperor/Imperial City conversion mod. You must've committed a decent amount of time to both mods! While it's unfortunate that you won't have a chance to release either of them, it's great that you have been able to incorporate some of the ideas into developing Akhenaten. Definitely interested to see more updates in the future! Have you thought about streaming some of the development process?
