This is what I'm looking or, thanks! =)
I need a non dishwasher way for larger pieces, but I sanded and put bleach the face, then let it sit out on the sun and I'm not getting the colors that you are getting, I do like what you've done here. I'm going to search through your videos and look for alternate meathods! Thank you for the help! Best video and commentary i've found so far by far! Thanks again!
What alloy is this aluminum! I am going to be using alu at 6063 grade
Interessting technique, ...but there is also a lot of marketing bollocks. The DASS film has not been specially developed by DASS, ...it is a regular/clear transfer film for inkjet printing available from many sources. All these wonder sauces can mixed quite easily by anyone who wants to experiment a bit. ...just do your research.
I developed the film transfer process and all the sauces and film. Thousands of people enjoy altering the ordinary digital print that rolls out of the printer. There are no "regular/clear transfer film for inkjet printing available from many sources"
Any suggestions on how to rinse a 20x20 wood print?
Very interesting. Thank you.
If you are not planning on replying to any of the questions asked, you should disable comments. If ever you do respond, MY question would be "could you not just mix all the ingredients in a spray bottle, apply to flat surface or even let drip off for different effect?" I actually found a video with a much simpler method, make a solution of peroxide, vinegar and salt. Works within an hour.
OOh can you send me a link to that?
Do you know if this process will work on anodized aluminum?
It won't
I enjoyed your video 😊. Are the sheets you are putting in aluminum, or tin?
would oxyclean gel work? I want to make kind of a hamon look on some aluminum. I am making a custom pickguard for an electric guitar
Would you happen to know if the aluminum from soda cans is somewhat immune to this? I had success with big items but I'm trying to recycle cans as sheets
It doesn't seem to ever blacken after 2 days ..
You keep saying, "another piece of metal" ... but for the love of Bob, what *type* of metal plates are you stuffing in there? Lol
7:09 When you flipped over the plate, it looks like it etched a portrait of a woman. Fun video thanks for the tips!
Are these sheets of Aluminium?
Yes they are mill finish aluminum
@@bonnylhotka thanks very much - it is a very interesting effect! Could it be replicated without a dishwasher in a sink?
yes
Would this work on aluminum cans or do they have some kind of protective coating? Thanks.
Aluminum cans usually have a plastic liner inside to prevent corrosion from the bubbly contents. Not sure about beer cans but soda cans do
OMG, I can't believe it! I've been trying hard to create transparencies (for projecting images) with a Selphy. But whatever transparency film I tried, it failed. I even had to repair the ink film several times because it stuck and got torn. I had almost given up, and now I found this. Can't wait to see the results. Thanks!!
I see you did touch the surface quite a few times without cleaning i assume if you only touch lightly it’s ok?
Is that 5x7 coated in the resin ?
Can’t wait to do this with my art resin. I’ll do this on a resined surface (wet resin) and peel away the film after 24 hrs
Thank you! Soooo cool.
Is it possible to transfer prints to canvas using the Dass products?
Use the DASS ART SuperSauce Concentrate to make the SuperSauce solution to transfer to Canvas. Prime your canvas with gesso. After that is dry apply a coat of the SuperSauce Solution. When that is dry apply the solution again and do the transfer as directed in th videos about SuperSauce.
also did you cut these sheets down or do they come in the 4x6 size?
can I have list of supplies that you use and the size of the DASSART paper youre using thank you :)
bruh... sincerely A mechanical engineering student looking for actual material ageing content
I didn’t know mechanical engineering students were interested in making aluminum look rustic. Are you getting a degree in home and garden or good house keeping?
@@MrLongboarder87 mate Mr knowitall, U gotta understand how it gets bad to know how to prevent it from getting bad. Always seek to understand why it happens before U can analyse how to find the problem.. lesson 101 for ya m8
@@poppyblop484 I was yanking your leg. If your looking for some info buy a used copy of AC43.13-1B & AC43.13-2B. You can get them on Amazon for $15. It’s an aircraft maintenance guide.
@@MrLongboarder87wow ok, not bad!! I did not come across to that material, thank you for that
What does the Dass Art Optimized YUPO do for the print?
Do you seal the image with anything?
Thank you!
Please don’t say that’s is a fresco, please don’t destroy the art of fresco
Do the transfers onto aluminum tend to scratch like a regular photo paper print would?
Is it necessary to age the aluminum?
You can sand the metal or clean t really well with Dawn Dish soap then tip it with isopropyl alcohol. You need to use mill finished metal.
Thanks, Bonnie -- I appreciate your videos and your artistic wisdom & skills !!
Super creative! Very cool! Thank you for sharing! Loved it!
I attempted this with aluminum flashing after wiping it with Simple Green cleaner and degreaser. After one day the flashing was unaffected. Help will be appreciated.
It will not work on flashing because flashing has a protection on it to prevent from corroding. You must use mill finish aluminum.
@@bonnylhotka flashing has protective coating but you can get it off, maybe try acetone which is nasty stuff but effective, or you could also sand and then wipe it down with soap and water
It only works on Mill finish aluminum. Flashing is treated to protect it from all weather elements.
Can you tell me if you have a outlet in Australia I am very interested in your product but postage is very very expensive
Excelent info but can I get the sauce and transfer sheets in the UK. Thank you for your time
Can this be done on galvanized steel flashing? Or any other metal for that matter?
] Excuse me, what kind of glue is this . where can i buy ? im in china
It is not glue. You mix the SuperSauce Solution with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The solution dissolves the image and moves it. Buy the product at dessert.com. View full tutorials at vimeo.com/dassart
so beautiful, where are you....no part two?!
This worked wonders for me, thank you!
Howdy, what type of metal are you using? Sheet metal stock or aluminum? Thanks.
Mill Finished aluminum or flashing or anodized.
@@dassart5977 Does this process work on other metals?
does it work on regular transparecy film? I cant find transfer film in my country..
it only works with DASS ART Transfer Film. www.DassArt.com
No you need the DASS Transfer film.
NO
