Переглядів 12 тис.4 роки тому
In this video, we walk through our van's cargo set-up, discussing the installation process and a review of the components we installed. Learn about our fan, Rhino Rack rails, cargo basket & ARB awning & how they all fit together. We designed and converted our 2010 Ford Transit Connect cargo van into a camper that sleeps two people. It's one of the smallest cargo vans on the market and typically...
VAN TOUR! Ford Transit Connect Tiny Camper for TWO People
Переглядів 344 тис.4 роки тому
We designed and converted our 2010 Ford Transit Connect cargo van into a camper that sleeps two people. It's one of the smallest cargo vans on the market and typically converted by solo travelers but after some clever engineering we were able to fit a full size bed within the cargo space. This video walks through how the layout of our van functions, plus some of our favorite features like how w...

We designed and converted our 2010 Ford Transit Connect cargo van into a camper that sleeps two people. It's one of the smallest cargo vans on the market and typically converted by solo travelers but after some clever engineering we were able to fit a full size bed within the cargo space. This video is a time lapse of our conversion process! We purchased the van in February 2019 and began conve...
Adorable 🐶 ❤
Such a well thought 💭 out set up happy for you guys look’s comfy and your hair is SO beautiful 🤩
nice comfy build and i like the dual draws pullout
Great build and very functional. Where do you store your water?
I have a 2010 FTC built out with a single bed for a solo traveler. Loved your video. Got a couple of good ideas from you. BTW: This vehicle/microcamper is an absolute blast to drive and camp in! Key points: Great to drive. Easy to park. Good gas mileage and parts are available everywhere. Thanks for your video!
That little Xenon “zoom zoom zoom” was the cutest!
The music was doing my head in.
finally a functional van thats not just bed and kitchen but you could actually work in it
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik 🎶❤️
beautifull!
Great job organizing. I understand why you didn’t insulate. But I think insulating with Thinsulate is worth it for comfort.
Great design ideas. Had to turn the sound off because the music was so distracting.
Rip cat
I would love to watch the rest of this video, but the back ground music is loud and annoying so I need to not watch it anymore
Wish I was tall enough to reach the awning
magnets, velcro and clips good idea. wise use of space. bravo form France
A bed on wheels. That's hella cool guys.
Very nice!
I wish they would build a cab over bed for the transit...that would really free things up.
What exactly do you use your generator for?
Love it!
Thank you, be well!
I have a 2013 Connect. Would like to know where you picked up the magnetic under counter lights and the step. Thanks in advance
Great Job! 🎉
Well done……luv my TC mini too, 4yrs still building, travel weekly
What an ingenious use of space! so sleek. i appreciate the choice to let the bed take up the whole van instead of trying to cram a sprinter floorplan into a connect.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
NEXT TIME , SHOW THE INSIDE ONCE IT'S FINISHED, WE ALL WANTED TO SEE THE FINISH PRODUCT WITHOUT THE 10x POWER
Thanks for your comment! Check out our other video for a tour of the van 👍🏼
THAT'S A LOT OF WORK, KUDOS FOR IT
Nice job in the review and the build...I could do with out the repetitive back round music..
What size bed did u get in there?
Full size
I love the rack on to For storeage
looks great! Im trying to get a ford transit connect, also! is this a swb or lwb...sorry of this question has been asked 1,000 times before..im just trying to see how well I'll sleep in one (I'm 5'6!)
Amazing use of space! That door step is brillant! Thanks for sharing!
Quick question does your vent fan close all the way? I'm debating on a center or a offset vent fan location for my own build currently.
Yes, our vent fan closes all the way.
I'm very impressed, I have seen probably 20-25 of these smaller size van builds and this is the first one I think I would fit in to sleep. Very well thought out and organized Definitely a thumbs up 👍
Great build but where’s your toilet?
The woods
know if any Connects are tall enough inside to stand up in, for using a standing desk?
Very cool!
Great setting for the places with a warm climate and friendly people around.
Very nice job. Good luck on your travels.
Why didn't you use a roller on the kilmat?
Nice, but if you minus some weights, it will be easier for the small 4 cylinders engine, plus better gas mileage.. Good luck with your future, stay safe and take care of each other. Peace and Love.
You time lapse and music selection where really well done. I think its funny how virtually every video on youtube about truck conversions looks the same. I'm a backpacker and theres a pain in the butt phenomenon called summit fever. It speaks to the missed opportunities and poor decisions made because your mind is on the summit and not in the present. It applies to the descent as well. I think that applies to art projects and builds like this. We are so eager to get to the GD finishes...the fancy fan and the pretty tongue and groove wood and sinks and storage that we don't do the underneath work that can truly make a vehicle comfortable. I doubt I'll live long enough because people just get something in their heads and it takes generations to undo it. Reflectix is not an insulator. there's no easier way to put it. Its a conductor of heat and if you don't believe me try taking that emergency blanket....right out of the package all folded up 30 layers deep and use it as a pot holder when you make dinner tonight. THEN you will know the truth. The little air pockets also perfectly convect heat away. Air molecules are just a tiny bit smaller (lol) than those giant air bubbles....more than enough room for convection. Fold must be suspended to get the relatively minor thermal reflection. Its how they insulate sleeping pads. put an emergency blanket under your sleeping pad and feel the heat conduct right into the ground. Styrofoam everywhere should be the star of these builds before anything else. I,m just finishing mine now. I have no storage, I have space and 2 super comfy custom reclining chair/beds. No power no fan and small battery powered lights. It was 102 degrees F yesterday and sitting inside with the windows open was like sitting under a shady tree....felt like 20 degrees cooler (who knows). It could be zero degrees and I'd be just as comfortable. It kills sound like a champ and all of my buildout...made in one way or another ALL with styrofoam can be removed and put back to a cpt'd shell truck in about 5 minutes while holding all the components in two arms. It took me over a year to work through all the other stuff that everyone else builds and just let that be fantasy...what I have is crazy similar to my ultralight backpacking style. Everything you need to be very comfortable and exactly nothing more. And convertible (I have a pickup set up). I hope this helps if anyone is considering a really cool build like this. It's a real pain but taking the time will make you so much more comfortable....In that I'm just finishing it I've only spent a cpl nights in it. With a window cracked about a 1/2 inch I had no condensation.....which was weird...I'm sure I'll get some but I also cover the windows at night with custom 1 1/2'' styrofoam as well so very little heat ever touches the windows to condense. Try it, messy but fun. All the stryo is sealed and covered with fabric so the mess ends one day GREAT VAN by the way. Thanks for sharing
I was expecting to see pull-out drawers from the side doors also!
Your hair 😍
That's cool guys, you might want to try putting some runners in your side access, so those areas come out to you, would be easier for the cooler etc. Hope you're having a great adventure 😉
very practcal & simplified
You guys did such a great job on that van
Thanks for the ideas! I've got a tc but it was a wheel delivery van with a cage and it has 280k miles so I'm not going to dump money in but I'm planning on taking it for some mini trips with some temporary stuff in it but I got some good ideas to fit more things..mines all metal so magnets will work great lol
