Awesome catches, does ISIG4 run often on the Chester Sub or in general? I was confused and thought it was ZMMNP or something else.
I think ISIG4 was just a one time re route on the Chester. But ZMNNP is different. It’s a combination of ZMNNP and IMNDU from Marion AR until Dupo, and then in dupo it removes the IMNDU and adds on ZDUNP. Then it continues like that until North Platte.

Around 15 a day.
How many number of trains use the Chester Sub
I would say it’s a train every 50 ish minutes. So 25-35 a day probably.

I wonder. How close is too close? Isn't there zoom focus? Just the air stream caused by a huge train passing by at a high rate of speed and not mentioning the decibel levels.
For the sound you can’t do much about it. But for the wind, I almost always hold my tripod down because it will 100% get blown down if I don’t. But even if I was 10 feet away there is still a high chance it will still get blown over.

@@MissouriRails nah the closest hotel is probably La plata. But in terms of speed Elmer (estate pl road) is far better than anything la plata can do.

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 will visit St. Louis Missouri again on September 10th 2024. The bad news is that 4014 will skip Kirkwood.
