cooking a beef ragu pasta sauce part 1
you’re talking about the price of the bottle of wine not just one glass so this meal at a restaurant (assuming you bought a whole bottle of wine) could easily be $150 to $200+ CAD
Enjoyed this, you are a good chef Halibut.
@@islehikes6835 thank you Isle thats most kind. The girls enjoyed dinner lol
Great video,well done
garlic green beans yummy
Looks scrumptious 😋
Right? How I wish I was there eating at his table😅
That looks so good omg I wish I could eat your cooking
Mmmmm that looks so amazing
Have lots of fun ❤
Godfather vibes. Thank you Halibut daughter ❤
I'll take that as a compliment lol
Maya awwwww so adorable
Well Well Well here we are watching you enjoying life to the fullest and reading Irvings comments 😂😂😂😂
@Bbyluv702 Mee??? I was learning the difference between a Soliliquy and a monologue, using the same words. It all depends if someone is listening or not. Some days, I smile back at my Raisin Bran.
Well well well, here we are again, watching you enjoy yourself, drinking a 20 year old vintage cigar and something to drink. I think you are a better storyteller than I am. I can't keep details straight. Looks like a good time.
@@irvingjohnson9244 hey Irving the port is 20 yrs old and the cigar is a commemorative Nicaraguan brand very mello with a 93 rating. We celebrate birthdays best we can lol
@Halibut333 You do a great job at that too, And great way to celebrate birthdays. Things always look fun when you are around.
This was a terrible video. It said nothing specific about steakhouses. You can apply the logic of cooking food at home and spending less to any restaurant. This was an unnecessary public service announcement from captain obvious.
@@De3533N why did you watch???
@@Halibut333 thought it would be worthwhile.
@@De3533N well sorry you were disappointed but your comment about the generality of my video rather than a specific restaurant is exactly my point thanks for seeing that. Have a great day
@@Halibut333 it was specific, steak houses. It’s in the title. If your message was dining out overall then you failed delivering that message. Do better next time.
@@De3533N yes sir lol
Nice looking steak ❤
Those potatoes and green beans look bland as shit
I understand what you’re saying but your food looks horrible! Good luck.
Awwwwwww❤❤❤
gets even more absurd if you think about paying more than 5bucks for a cup of coffee or 10 bucks for burger with mystery meat :D im fully with you. you save money get more per serving and know what your eating :D
Taylor Mark Harris Ronald Johnson Deborah
Much rather do my own on my pellet grill so much better get fresh steak that day and save big money
the worst steak i ever had was $70 at a casino steak house. Awful.
Ever since I watched Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmare show I have stopped eating out, period. None of these places care about you. You are so much better up just going to the grocery store and learning how to cook your own food. By the way when you told us the money you spent with Canadian, less than a minute before that we heard you say the word about , we already knew you were Canadian.😊
No shit sherlock.
But then u don’t get bragging rights that u r better well off haha plus u get can have a steak house dinner and a theater performance at home if you like dinner steak house theatre amazing meal
Nothing like doing your own steak at home.😊
He belongs to someone ...he's wearing a bell and collar. 😂❤
Feed him! 😂😂😂🎉
Most ribeye steaks I order from places that I hear have good steaks aren’t even half as good as what I can make myself.
You are paying for the experience when you go out to eat
HP is the choice for me… when I don’t spring for Berta Beef.
I’m paying for the dishes to be cleaned not the steak
Gotta respeck™ the Canadian players out there making their own gourmet meals... That's what I'm talking aboot...
I wouldn’t pay more than 50 on any steak dinner out, even 50 is too much
I never eat something at a restaurant that I can do better at home.
You have the skills of a child. The meat is RAW
@@VictorPonce-o6q sorry to disagree it was delicious wish you could have tasted it
@@Halibut333 it's takes more skill to cook it well done and not over cook it..That sir seems to elude most people on this utube channel. That's really what I meant
@@VictorPonce-o6q fair enough but to me well done beef is a crime lol. If I eat well done beef its in a pot roast 👍thats good eating
@@Halibut333 Al-----rite. 🤔
$75
The poor focus on saving money, while the rich focus on earning more.
Good observation Sherlock
@@maxigiraffe3598 Clearly, my words went over your head.
The only reason why I don’t cook my own steaks more often is because my girlfriend can get me 40% off at the steakhouse she works at, so I pay the same price, if not cheaper, than what it would cost to buy and make it myself with none of the hassle.
@@shadowios7033 hard to beat 40% off 👍
It's always the dumbest videos when people talk about the cost differences between at home and a restaurant
@@justinsimaluk314thanks for the comment never thought money was dumb
@@Halibut333 are you factoring in labour costs, facility costs, service staff, probably better beef than your grocery store, small profit? Probably not cause youre just trying to make a bad point
@@justinsimaluk314 my point which I admit I didn't clearly express in the video is that the enjoyment and value you get from eating out is inversely proportional to how well you can cook the food at home
@@Halibut333 I worked professionally in kitchens for a long time and would consider myself a better cook than most people. I like enjoy eating out a lot, has nothing to do with my skill as a cook
@@justinsimaluk314 I figured you were a pro by your comments I appreciate the restaurant industry is one of the most difficult ones to survive and prosper in. Having said that please don't underestimate the skills of an amateur cook. Have a great day
Wow 🤯
Yeah. I’m going to make my own steak dinner for me and my kids.
I honestly thought you had a fried snake head next to the steak
Never touch the stuff 😂😂😂
Wow rub it in.. RICH guy.. that plate..you say with the onions and wine cost over $50. is that what I heard..? First off, people should be preparing their own meals instead of relying on Restaurants.. for MANY reasons.. I saw this vid..thumbnail and said it looked interesting.. SAD One serious question.. who thinks 2 small pieces of potato, half or third cup of green beans, and a little sirloin is WORTH $40..?
Opposite of Rich I was quoting what the ingredients cost me Canadian and the whole wine bottle was $24 the steak was a 24 oz striploin. Thanks for the comment
Steak is ENORMOUSLY overpriced and also OVERRATED! It’s not that great compared to so many things. It’s one note and takes no preparation.
I understand!
Last few times I ate at a steak house the steak just did not have much flavor. I am better off. Cooking my own.
As easy as it is to cook a perfect steak just the way you like I can’t justify buying one at a steakhouse.
Fun fact: its cheaper and better preparing/cooking your own steak. Probably cost like less than 10$ also depends which store you go to,
I'M WITH YOU! I buy striploin roasts where they're on sale for $15 and cut them into 5 or 6 two inch steaks, GREAT steaks for $3 each!
@@markmarsh27 agreed, amazing what you can save by knowing how to use a knife 😂😂😂
Ever since i learned to perfect a steak i feel dumb going to a steak house. For a while i couldnt get it but ny carnivore brother advised me to get a good tallow and dont undersalt.
@@emacias1473 well said, a great restaurant experience is inversely proportional to how well you can prepare the same food at home.
