Title song from the original Album/CD Track 02
Alex has a beautiful voice!
God Bless today. Ohio.
This is a sweet album. ❤❤❤
I just bought this album from ebay.
I saw Phil at a supper club in Tulsa in the 90s. I was like 8 feet away and could see and hear what and how he played. It was one of the highlights of my time there. I was sitting at a table further away and thought how cool would it be to get closer so I could see his technique. A band I met a few weeks earlier saw me and said come sit with us. So cool that God answered my desires.
Saw Phil play at a church in the early 90's near Cincinatti. Acoustic guitar and solo. I didn't appreciate it like I would today.
Batendo o meu ponto aqui novamente ❤
Two songs in and this album is already an all time great to me.
Keaggy is the Real Deal….. Great Talent ; excellent lyrics , and from CCM in the 70’s till now ; still Blessing GOD and His People !!!
Skinny little boy 👍
Starting off the album with "One Day At A Time" was the right move. Such a beautiful melodic beginning that kicks into a rocking frolicking good time! "Song Of Hope" is sublime. Clapton, Beck, Van Halen , Page and the like get all the accolades. But then you have Keaggy who is right up there with the best of them. Just not as famous. (Listen to "Shades of Green" from their live LP in Youngstown). No one is "better" than the others. There is a huge list of phenomenally gifted guitarists that aren't well known (Check out Doyle Dykes). Just different and unique styles of play...and so enjoyable to experience.
no keaggy is better than all of your aforementioned. his tone is up there with the gilmours and santanas and he is better than any of them (with only 9 fingers no less)
Ted Nugent was amazed by Phil keaggy it's understandable
His playing is sooooooo original. Volume control work
some of the best tone in history, top notch song writing talent, and his musicianship is second to none.
the best rock band of all time!
Very nice. Great share.
Wow. That has got to be the best guitar playing I have ever heard. I first found Phil Keaggy from his solo album TOWN TO TOWN from the early 80s so I already knew he is one of the very best!
Even Phil would say that Alan Holdsworth was the best guitar player
Alan was a remarkable player indeed. But there's no comparison because they are so different. It's no secret that Phil admired Alan. On a side note, there is never really "the best" guitarist. But interesting of you to mention Alan.
Cleveland ohio will always be home no matter where I may roam
My favorite songs on this album are "Dawn Of A New Day" (which I heard when it came out, on New York radio), and "Song Of Hope".

Y'ALL LISTEN TO ELOY
Truth @ Jenny..
PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE HIPPIE MINDSET. LOOK AT HOW MANY BANDS THAT ARE MIND-BLOWING FROM SIXTIES SEVENTIES. BEFORE MONEY TOOK OVER AND IT TURNED MUSIC INTO CRAP.
Nunca tinha ouvido falar desta banda e por acaso encontro esta pérola aqui! Viva a internet! Não poderia morrer sem saber desta banda!
Best version
I respect their use of 'Jesus' but you gotta admit that theres a extremely low percentage of people who undertood Jesus's message, so in a way seeing his name in the lyrics its kind of boring.
I like these guys They from my Town Says PROUDLY ... BackyardSKY 🌐
Alex, From the early Cleveland days to now, you are deepest well that I have ever tapped. And yes , I still have my mom's 1924 F4 mandolin. Go Lakewood! Bless your melody lines, I am a student of every one. DWDrouillard.
I was blessed growing up with them. I remember several times they played with The James Gang, on the same stage in the 60s. They practiced across the street from my brothers gf house. They were remarkable from day one.
What a great song, so pretty and meaningful. An oldie but a great song!
I have this on vinyl too. It was my favorite album in college I used to know all the words, all the nuances and ad libs. I named my puppy Jazzbo. He was a beagle schnauzer mix. he was a snazzy schnauzer. black hair with brown beard and eyebrows. He was fine.
Wow it's been decades since I listened to this album. Still lifts me up in my faith
Thanks for posting Frank. It takes me back to the 70s when a friend who did 2 tours in Nam turned me on to this. It sounds great too.
Fantastic album...very creative and superb musicians doing original well crafted very well played songs with great lyrics
Love me some Phil! Great band
Song of Hope - my fave. An early CCM band I was in (early 1970's) covered it. So good. Thanks to Phil K and Glass Harp for expanding my heart, my tastes and love for music.
This is one hell of a killer album, with 3 musicians way ahead of their time, just listen to John Sferra play those drum beats, rolls a triplet with one foot, fantastic offbeats in Never is a Long time. The guy is amazing, as is Phil Keaggy - Vocals, and a ripping lead guitar, then just listen to the Bass Runs that Dan Pecchio comes up with- out of site Man !
A LOT OF STUFF FROM THE SIXTIES SOUND FRESH. DUG'S DUG, JONSEY.
Dan Pecchio is lead singing on Never is a long time.
I remember "Special Friends" getting some love on our local FM radio back in the day.
The Streaming concerts Alex has done over these months are the highlight of my day. I love this song so very much! Thanks, Alex
Amazing music..yes !!!
Phil is also a great bass player too. He plays on The Answer and his entire solo album, What A Day.
Amazing LP truly gifted people here. Praise God !!
great music...
Great album! amazing songs!
Whats with the fiery devil tale album art?
Alex was a Cleveland talent, and a skinny-little-boy cool dude. But if this song was covered by someone like John Denver, he could have retired on the royalties.
One Day At A Time is just so amazing.
Anyone know what the symbol represents on the front cover if any?
Well, the green thing is an “Omega,” and the red lightening bolt thing I don’t know, but together they look a little bit like a capital A or “Alpha” in the Greek alphabet. It’s probably a reference to God being called “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.”
Was wondering the same thing.
Such an amazing album!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this group saw them three times in concert Phil Keggys guitar playing is just amazing!
