I think sentai has that flair that power rangers don't have like angels, space pirate, spy with robo buddies, dino with music, ninjas in many generation, also other sentai like train sentai were kids became adult, human animal hybrid, etc. Unlike pr were their like high school students for almost all pr season Edit: some uhm some pr season are not high school students but still students like in jungle fury were the students in training, samurai samurai in training, and i know i sorta hate pr but there is still some good seasons like timeforce, in space, spd and rpm

Angels and pirates were probably deemed to be hard to market to American kids. Not using footage from Gokaiger would be a wasted opportunity so Saban decided that combining them would be the best decision. I would’ve gone all out and adapt them a little more faithfully
