Bali is the real and only contender for a homebase. All modern metros are utterly finished. Meanwhile, any other beach city in the continent is ran into the ground with mob activity, social illness, un-ease of daily life, or just plain void of infrastructure and like minds. At this point, every place that was once good has now turned into Sihanoukville Cambodia. Straight down the drain, no real party or social scene, just unbelievably toxic no matter which Metro or "resort town". Until this socioeconomic disaster is even remotely stable, there is no reason to entertain living anywhere else. Glory to Bali, there can be only one... let everything else fade away... as the 5 day tourist traps they really are Those 50,000 reviews on Google Maps for 2 Bali clubs alone don't lie... every other splat in this continent struggles for 100 and shuts down every year to make a new one. The game is obvious at this point.

JEFFO I would have to agree with you, Indonesian food is probably the BEST I have ever tried in the world but I tend to shy away from THAI as it tends to be too spicy, Philippines is a second choice and then of course I cannot decline a darn good Meat Pie, Tomato sauce and a big can of VB!!!🥧🍺

There's no such thing as good dog food. Dog food is ultra processed garbage. It's filled with preservatives and chemicals. They've done clinical studies and a dog that is fed dog. Food dies on average 6 years earlier than it would have if it was fed anything but dog food. It's understandable that you don't know this. The dog food companies work very hard to suppress this information. I fed my first dog. Nothing but dog food. She died at 15 years of age. My next dog I fed raw meat. She lived to be 23. They were similar in size.

Sounds like he had a negative experience and thinks it will be the same for everyone, like you said projecting, we were over Bali from the 9th -24th July and the weather there at Legian wasn't as hot as I was led to believe 😤 Most days it was 27-28 and very breezy some days, much like a late spring day in Oz, but far better in Bali in winter than Oz that's for sure 😁 Keep up the good work mate 💪😎🤙

Well you're off base on any number of counts. Indonesia has been markedly cooler over the past few years due to more wind (especially in Jakarta). But, that seasonal anomaly will swing around again sooner or later. It is screaming hot, especially during June, July and August (dry season). And during musim hujan (rainy season) it pisses down and floods all the time ... delivering lots of mosquitos and sometimes illnesses. Also you are relatively "young" and fit and haven't run out of money yet. You're showing the nightlife but not paying for it. So what you are doing is living cheap - which gets monotonous - or given you have mentioned your travels you have some dough (for now). Wait until you get older and you need health treatments all the time, or if something goes wrong like a hip, knee, shoulder, skin cancer and so-on. And make sure you never have an accident like car, motorbike, pedestrian etc. Indonesia is transient for the visitors - everyone eventually runs out of money or gets bored and leaves - and if you want to live there with the locals you need to speak bahasa Indonesia (which obviously you do not). You are also on a tourist visa only so if you really want to "live" in Indonesia you need to organise it properly and pay for it all (Immigration eventually won't allow you to keep on coming in on simple tourist visas). Because you don't know what you are doing in Indonesia (Bali is just the country's Gold Coast) you will come undone eventually. The locals are indeed friendly but over time only if you are spending money (that's the whole point of them allowing their island to be overrun with foreigners). But enjoy it while it lasts.
