Are you a homeowner with a septic system (aerobics included) but you have no idea how your system works or what kind of maintenance it needs? You're not alone, and we're here to help. Adding Bleach to Your Aerobic Septic System
Many aerobic systems have a bleach chlorinator, which is a reservoir that holds household bleach. When your pump is activated, the bleach disperses into the pump tank. How much bleach you need and how often you need to add it depends heavily on your home's water usage. We cover that and the option for chlorine tablets here. Bleach chlorination systems can be installed on any aerobic septic system.
