You recreated that effect PERFECTLY! how exactly do you do warps like this? Analyze the games code?
Thanks for the interesting question). In front of the camera is transparent plane with shader 'Glass BSDF'. Parameter 'IOR' of the shader is manipulated by Wave procedural texture. You can also download this file for free from my ArtStation)
