Realistic melee. No powers, straight hands. There are alot of highly knowledgeable people who practice martial arts IRL. Yet struggle to transfer it correctly into the writing realm of roleplay, hence the joke.

@dentium7076 oh. I've encountered like maybe one person like this, but from what I've expirenced in the world of jaller, the irl fighting guys are dangerous, this is especially and probably exclusively to bjj and wrestling dudes. (Groundwork is horrendous work for me and they do it so casually 😭)

@@capone6716 Having the knowledge and understanding from practicing IRL is a huge asset in RM. But you also need to be able to convey and apply said knowledge effectively in writing. Which is key in a hobby like text based roleplay.

In standard RP, physics obey as normal, since the point of standard rp is either good writing practice, good action practice, or good story practice. It uses skills than natural luck.

Both Standard RP and DnD have their pros and cons. Standard RP mostly is for: -Realistic appeal of RP with creavitity -Free to fantasize and imagine shinanigans -Good for non-mathematicians DnD mostly is for: -Legitimate stats with no extra flaws -Luck Based situations -Better World Generation per campaign

They both deff have their pros and cons. Really depends on the experience you're looking for. Personally I think the unknown with dice rolls can make things exciting. @@NirhonaIV

Some people can really get into text based rp. Even if its just "text" some people can get immersed in it. Depending on how the roleplay is setup plays a huge role on the player experience. Also any rp is going to be better if you have good roleplayers involved. I'm super interested in horror rp and love that genre in general be it movies, books, games, etc. Maybe you can give it a try sometime with me :D

@@dentium7076 Incredibly true. In the end, the group roleplay always relies on the recruits of your roleplayers. It dies if the recruited members lack in the concept of roleplay and fun, if possible, story-driven. In that invite of the horror rp however, I'll take it when it's ready, sadly I'm stuck with free data privileges to go online so, thank you.

@@Emu-xq5yw I RP on a WoW private server that lets you fully customize characters, wear whatever items are in the original game, and edit the textures and objects in the terrain like grass, houses, the sky, so on. WoW is a fantasy game. Watch any trailer or cinematic for it, that's a fact, WoW is a fantasy game about magical knights and elves and orcs and goblins. RPers are not so easily convinced. They instead have their werewolves be fully sapient chillaxed "Peaky Blinders" thugs with cyborg arms. Their elves are Call of Duty snipers that say rizz and poggers in a fantasy world where that kind of terminology just doesn't exist. Every human paladin you meet probably has some hardcore rightwing takes, or are an insufferable jackass that thinks that since they're gay or trans, it's okay for them to bully people. I have seen godmodding, leaps of logic, people pulling out enchanted miniature nukes that clone themselves the moment they're activated. What happens when you criticize ANY of this? "Elitist gatekeeper, likely skinhead, you are Chuds McConfederacy boy, kill yourself, you are likely a Rome larper IRL." I have lived through your worse. I have seen your unhinged zoophilia and necrophilia. Your weebs with NPC harems and super powerful AOE/mass slash abilities. I want to join one of these communities.

@@albertsupport Outside the realm of text based and within something like a game that makes sense. CRP is drastically different on digital platforms like Roblox and CSOM.
