Hi there, I appreciate this is an old post but I was wondering if you happened to measure the clutch stack height before you put it back together as I’m just at the stage of installing a TL1000 5 spring clutch into my SRAD 750X and don’t won’t to burn up another pack because it’s slipping? Thank you in advance and I hope this reaches you. Great vids by the way, really helpful. 😀👍🏻
I have a 93 gsxr 1100 .

Hi.
Da kommt man nirgends gescheit ran.
Muss so irgendwie stimmen :/
Habt ihr bock meine Steuerkette zu tauschen ? 750 k7 😂
if you can get the sniffer working you wont have to worry about different maps for different ambient temps and elevations so forth, temperatures . . one sensor per cylinder is way better, use a better fuel management system that uses 4 individual cylinder tuning parameters, more fine tuning as you ride . . .
do you have the second set of injectors running all the time or do they just hit at a specific curve of the cam or RPM number like the stock gsxr750 uses them?
7:24 my srad is missing those 3 screw and instead of that really long pipe, my clutch only has a smaller knob looking piece, any help? edit: 3:16 i have that plunger (knob peice) but am missing that massive rod you remove after it. bike somehow ran a whole season fine though.
Hey man, great advice, i bought a 6 spring TL clutch and the plates are about a mile bigger than the srad plates?
I wish we were neighbors I am building the same thing would like to understand power Commander and auto-tune setup
Slow slow as fuck
What was wrong that it had start problems
@creator of this video, is there a way to get in touch with you? Im in a desperate situation and i have a question for you im not finding answers to online 😥

I have a 99 SRAD750. I did the TL1000. My stock plunger is longer than the TL1000. Should I use the stock plunger or the shorter TL Plunger?
I figured it out! Excellent mod, works just as you said.
also thanks for showing me this was about to remove the swinger.. this is way easier, forgot about the top bolt, derp... nice SRAD BTW
the frame sliders on this SRAD are EPIC! I have 2 a carby 600 and FI 750.. very good bikes even today.. basic, but fun .. what brand are the sliders or bungs as you say?
I sure could use ur advice and input as i swap my 99 motor stuff over onto a 97 motor i tried to find a low miles 99 98 but had no luck and they dont sell the main bearings anymore sadly
Hey, The 99' head fits fine, I run a similar setup on my current race engine. But be aware that some internals of the 97 lower engine will be different. such as oil jets for lubricating the pistons and transmission range. You also need to swap the crank pickup since the ignition on the 98 - 99' is controlled in a diffenent way. The pickup is located behind the flyweel on the lefthand side of the engine, behind the timing chain. Like I always say, get youself a copy of the original workshop manual and study the diffenences between the two models. Cheers!

Thank you for putting the effort of recording the work you are doing. This will be a great help for my winter overhaul project! Godspeed!
hello I have a question of what material the cylinders are made of aluminum or steel
Cylinders and pistons are aluminium
With every video watched I got more and more knowledgeable of this great motorcycle. Thank you for taking your time to make this vids, helping us commoners to get tackling more and more complex issues.
Hello, I want to buy a used engine from a local shop. I have a 99 SRAD 750. The engine of the shop has a stamp on it which says 97. Is it normal? The serial no is:R733-100309
don't worry about casting markings. Just make sure the engine is a carb or FI model corresponding to you own bike. You can determine the two models by checking the valve cover. The FI engine has a cam position sensor on top of the cover ( Black electrical connector) wich the carburator model is missing.
@@thesradchannel8818 thanks for the answer
Thank you for the detailed Vids.
I know this video is old but I dropped the motor on a 1998 gsxr 750 srad because it had noise coming from the transmission. I was curious to know if I have to do a complete tear down of the motor to reach the trans? I’m asking this because it will be my first time working on my engine and I’m trying to get all the information in that I can.
Hey, You can acces the transmission from the bottom of the engine. Fix the engine reight side down in a stand then remove the oilpan, clutchcover etc. Then you can remove the lover half of the engine casting. once this is done you can remove the 2 pieces of the transmission. Since this is a fairly complex work I would recommend that you pick up the Workshop manual. all the work and tourqe values are explained there.
@@thesradchannel8818 I’m sorry for the late reply thank you so very much man🙏🏽
where do you order all the parts
Thanks for the Video my 600 Srad with 65000 km on it will need a new Clutch now aswell....
Great videos!
Great videos man! I have gsxr 1000k1 so it very informative for me to see how my engine works and looks inside. I think there would be not that many differences between srad and k1 in engine design?
Question, I like the detail in your video so far, is the 750 and the 1000 similar in build, just different in displacement? I'm watching in case the 07 1000 in the Mod Lite car goes (Mod Lite DIRT Car, 5/8 Scale Northeast DIRTcar Modified)
No, Suzuki changed the general contruction of the engines from 03 to 04. Of course they share some similaritys but I wouldn't rely on specific measurements and such.
Gotcha, Thanks for the assistance! Great channel!
Der Umbau müsste also funktionieren.
do you forget to install second guard timing chain???hmmm
Hello, I was really hoping that I can reach out to you, and ask some questions about the clutch on this bike. I’m having a lot of trouble and would really appreciate the help🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey Peter, Just go ahead and ask! I'll answer as best as I can.
@@thesradchannel8818 ok... so I have a 2000 GSX-R600 engine on a go kart. The engine works fine, but the clutch is giving me problems. Today I disassembled the whole thing just as your video showed so see if something was broken, but nothing was. Essentially whenever I tried to use the clutch, the clutch push-rod would not budge. It is almost like it’s frozen, but I know it’s not because after disassembly everything looked great but still has that problem. It’s like the clutch will not disengage. Even when using the wooden handle of a hammer, the clutch would not disengage. It’s really causing a lot of problems and I really am stuck. Plz any help would be greatly appreciated🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@peterhernandez572 It's difficult to troubleshoot over the internet. But you could check that the actuator of the pushrod is in good and working order. the clutch is quite stiff so pushing the rod by hand won't open the clutch. If everything looks good check the assembly of the cluth step by step according to the workshop manual. Its more detailed than my videos.
@@thesradchannel8818 got it all figured out! It was just the cover that one of the screws trashed the threads so it was bending off the rod
Hey, I just wanna say a huuuuge thank you for documenting your work. I'm doing my SRAD's valve clearance and your videos are an invaluable help. I have one question, maybe you can help me out - I found that two of my valve spring retainers (Ventilfederteller) are cracked. Do you know what can cause that and if that's a sign of something else being wrong? Cheers from Austria :)
Thank you, thats nice to hear. Cracked valve retainers could be due to wear and tear or to tight valve clearance. Keep you Srad rolling!
@@thesradchannel8818Nice, that explains it. The clearance was indeed tight on just those two valves and nowhere else. Thanks, she'll soon roll again 😊✌️
Hello and thanks for this informative video. I tried to private message You but can't find the form anywhere to do it on Your profile? I would kindly ask You to help me with info if possible, do You know the bore spacing on the 750 SRAD? I'm looking to adapt a SRAD cylinder head to a car engine and I'm ready to purchase a donor engine but would like to measure stuff beforehand. Also where's the oil gallery for the cams located? Best regards and thank You for Your informative videos. Good luck with Your SRAD!
Hi, Thanks for you comment. I figure the measurement for the bore spacing must be very precise. Unfortunatly I don't have the tools to measure that precise. Have you checked the workshop manual? Maybe you'll find some information there. For the main oil gallary, it's located in the front lefthand side of the cylinder head. There is an external hose feeding oil to the cylinder head from the lower engine. Sounds like a hell of a job you plan to do. Best of luck!
@@thesradchannel8818 thank You for Your reply. Unfortunately although SRAD is my favorite bike ever, the bore spacing is too wide. I will buy a K8 head and see what can be done. Best regards and thank You!
Do you know if the cylinder of 1996-1997 model is the same with the 1998-1999 model? I think the service manual says that the pistons are not the same
Thats true, cylinders are not the same but interchangeable. Fi cylinders are stronger and less prone to warping under stress. Pistons are not the same and not interchangeable without machining.
Are you using new pistons and rings?
