TireMinder Brass vs Aluminum
Переглядів 131Рік тому
When should you use brass or aluminum transmitters when using TireMinder external transmitters? All towed motorized vehicles, such as cars, trucks and SUVs, will have either rubber or aluminum valve stems. If you have a rubber valve stem, you will need brass transmitters. If you have an aluminum valve stem, you will need aluminum transmitters. RVs, motorhomes, 5th wheels, and trailers will all ...

Tire minder failed us and cost us $300.00 tire
Installed the a1as on my Motorhome in August 2023 . After 9000 road miles I'm beginning to have problems with the sensors. The sensors stop sending their signals. My RV shop said they have more problems with this brand than others. They did say that other brands are not perfect. I have a lot of money invested in mine.
Sir could be possible if I want to make a parallel (12 v, 100ah x2) then I series it with 12v 200ah...in other term 12v 100ahx2 + 12v 200ah...thank in advance for feedback
All the batteries are DEAD straight out of the box. Then it won't go back to monitor mode.
Hello! If your new TireMinder kit came with batteries were low on power, please reach out to us and we'll get those replaced for you! You can use our contact page at www.minderresearch.com/contact/ to do so!
Dude!! Why did you buy a Ford Truck when you know you'll have transmission issues at 100k to 150k miles?? You should have bought a Toyota! Last you forever, literally!!
The difficult part is not addressed here: How to get the transmitter connected to a power source that is some distance away. Should it be routed directly to a battery (constantly draws power) that is twenty feet or more away, or to a dashboard auxiliary switch thirty feet away, etc.? Suggestions would be appreciated.
Booster antennas need to be pointed at the ground under the front of the 5th wheel or on the tongue of the Trailor. Manufacture's video and other sources say to point the antennas at the ground.
Yea but in a pharmacy we usually don't use the ice compartment. And so I think the sensor should be in the main compartment for a pharmacy.
A question,I have a MH and flat tow car,can I take the car on trips away from the MH without reprograming. Will the moniter adjust automatically and just moniter the car?
Hello! You can absolutely monitor both the RV and towed car independently with the A1AS's Disconnect Mode. Outlined in the manual, you'll be able to "turn off" the Front or Rear section any time and monitor only those transmitters if you wish, so driving away from your RV is possible while still monitoring the towed car.
A question,I have a MH and flat tow car,can I take the car on trips away from the MH without reprograming. Will the moniter adjust automatically and just moniter the car?
Hello! When using the system to monitor both a motorhome and towed vehicle, you'll need to use the built-in Disconnect Mode to separate the two when one section of the setup is not needed. When monitoring only your motorhome, you can "disconnect" the towed vehicle and then reconnect it, later, when you return to the vehicle and it will begin monitoring both again.
How do you have the booster connected? I can't tell from the video. It just looks like you made some brackets and clipped them there, but how are those powered? Like others, this is the step I am not getting.
Hi Eric! Please see the following information for more information on how to install the signal booster: support.tireminder.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046344871-TireMinder-Signal-Booster-Installation-Instructions. The booster is powered by 12V or 24V, which the alligator clips can be connected directly to the battery for power. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to a live customer support agent at (772) 463-6522.
If monitoring on a trailer and truck should the booster still be installed on the trailer gooseneck or in bed of truck?
The trailer gooseneck is the preferred location, or in the front battery compartment of the 5th wheel.
Best explanation I have seen. The info I was looking for without a bunch of unnecessary talk!
Thanks so much. Your explanation was clear, helpful, and efficient. Much easier to understand than the manual & installation guide (which I tried to read). 🤭
Thank you!
Great explanation! Easy to understand.
Thanks for the help super fast and easy.
Watched a few videos and googled it but didn't understand it until you emphasized "Positive to negative" and "positive to positive." Thanks so much!
What battery number?
Hello! TireMinder transmitters use 3V CR1632 batteries.
When those batteries are installed, are they always powered up? Are they draining power when my trailer sits dormant for 3 months? Or do they only drain when the receiver handshakes (after it get's its 12V)?
I have 2 batteries can i parallel connection with bms and active balancer
Also i have a question, if have 7.4 volt with bms and active balancer can be this increse capacity Example i hav 1500 mah battery at first i connect in parallel in takes 4.54 hours to used, and now i had to series coz i have bms and balancer is this same capacity
I need to relocate my booster, cause I also have the Ford V10 chassis and the batteries are in the step. So I'm going to extend the power wire of the booster with some 14ga so I can mount it closer toward the rear of the coach. On our last run, the rear tires of the trailer kept falling off due to the distance. Hopefully there is no issue with extending the wiring. I am using a thicker gauge to account for voltage drop.
Promo SM 💦
Very cool. How does the alert work? Is it audible? Does the screen switch to TireMinder? More info please.
Hello! TireMinder monitors alert with both visual and audio alerts. For instance, if a leak is detected, your affected tire position will have a red outline around the problem tire, and an audible beeping alert will occur.
How do the notifications work in Car Play? Does it pop something up to get your attention?
Sob thats a great video we gotta get you promoted your no bs get it done simple approach is awesome
Finally someone gets it! Nice job. Hopefully you can get the interface a little fancier and eventually a CarPlay Home Screen widget (if Apple allows).
Your recommended tire pressure is NOT on the sidewall of your tire. It is documented on a decal on the trailer OR in the trailer Owner's Manual. Otherwise, this is a very good UA-cam.
The tire pressure stamped on tires is a maximum pressure for the tire. Not the pressure they should run on a particular vehicle.
Love my Tireminder Products!
Wrong
Why tho?
Correct.
Omg flush cut those zipties!!
😮😮😮😅😅😅🎉😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
you should update the installation vids on this tire minder...most all of them are years + old
So does a system that is approximately 6 years old work with this new app? Or would I need to buy a whole new system?
If your system did not include a TireMinder Bluetooth Adapter, you can add one to your current setup. For more information on a Bluetooth Adapter, please see the following webpage: www.minderresearch.com/product/tireminder-smart-tpms-bluetooth-adapter/. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us at 772-463-6522 or at info@tireminder.com.
In the series connection the amp hours stay the same does that mean you lose out or do you still have that Supply 10 amp hours each? Do you lose out on 10 amp hours? Less power?
No the amp remains the same the voltage increases
We use this model and it works great, especially for the cost. I am constantly glancing at the display checking temperatures as I think that will be the first indicator of a problem. Don't have to check individual tire pressures before each trip either. Just check the display.
Thank you for the feedback!
Used bluetooth & location. On my android..
Installed the TPMS last week, took it for a 1000 mile trip, worked like a charm..very easy to set up , it took longer to set up the tire pressure for the tires..
Do these work with rubber valve stems?
Hi Glen! Please see the answer below. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Yes, TireMinder Transmitters may be used on high quality rubber valve stems. However, we highly recommend brass or stainless steel valve stems due to the fact that rubber valve stems deteriorate fairly quickly. They should be replaced when replacing your tires, and an external TPMS transmitter can exacerbate the deteriorating by adding weight to the valve stem. Additional rubber valve stems issues are based on age, length and physical location, such as exposure to road salt, high heat, sun, etc. If using rubber valve stems, it is recommended that you check the condition of you rubber valve stems on a regular basis. Failing to do so will result in a tire failure.
No, I bought 3 thinking I could monitor all 3 refrigerators and 2 chest freezers, well technically you can monitor just for the 3 remote sensors. Each package comes with 1 monitor and 3 remote sensors but buy another 2 packages and all the remotes are on channel 1 channel 2 and channel 3 so all nine of my sensors share the same frequency. Very disappointing. I was looking for an audio alarm to tell me when freezer is warming up and Frig to save from throwing out huge amount of meat in the 3 door LG that just decided to quit without telling us. I guess I should have read more concise, there is an alarm on this one but it's a time alarm not for temperatures.
I can’t wait to try one of these out. I had a viair once and I didn’t like it, but it was mainly because I cheaped out and got a non rv version. I love all my Minder Products and continually highly recommend them
Thank you for the opportunity to work on this video with you. We used the TireMinder 88C for over a year and a half and now the i10. Both products have been awesome for us and we won't ever RV without a TPMS again! -Chris & Suzannah
Thanks, Chris and Suzannah! We greatly appreciate your video and how well you explained how to use the TireMinder systems!
looks like a Viair with a new hat and makeup to me
I wish someone would show the actual attaching of the booster. I can't be the only one who has no idea the best way/place to do this. I am not mechanical in any way and have not had any luck finding anyone who will do it for me.
this is the exact same question I had and why I watched this
Hmmmmm I just purchased the same one. I put one in my basement to monitor when winter comes. It is NOT 22c down there!....as I have a regular thermometer hanging, and it reads 15c.
How do you cycle between celsius and fahrenheit? I do not see a CF button.
How hot do they get on asphalt?
Hey Brian! Thanks for the question. We'll test it out and get back to you!
You don’t put a link how to order it.
Hi Wayne. Thanks for the feedback. We've just updated the link. Thanks again and have a great day!
