But to your point, the study of the genome points clearly to intelligent design. It's organized information which reveals programming and by necessity a Programmer. I doubt you would think Darwin's works could organize themselves if you left paper and pen alone in an office for 4 billion years. Doubtful you would think that your phone could program itself if left alone for 6 billion years. The garden of eden is debunked completely Aside from the anyone who knows if you use genetic material to make new life you get a copy of the doner. So as religious people love to point out adam and steve would never populate anything. Our DNA contains DNA of several other species showing we are descendants of several other species who died out over the past 10 to 100 thousand years. That is the nail in intelligent design. Now as I said the project end the Abrahamic god, not the possibility of god in general no matter how silly the idea sound. A god in general can't be debunked but once you start making claims those claims can be researched either with history or science. And that's where we lose the Abrahamic god. The creation bit debunked, original sin gone along with any claim god made us so he has any say in how we live. In fact much of the mythology used in the Torah is plagiarized from the Greeks and older cultures. Exodus also has serious problems as Egyptian history defies much written in Exodus. The we get into Roman times where there is actually quite a lot of saved writings which don't mesh with the gospels. Even the four oldest synoptic gospels were written two lifetimes after the alleged death of christ. So at best hear say based on hear say. Once you start digging into history the new testament falls apart with most of it only written between 400 to 600 years ago. Discovering there was no god was extremely freeing. It was extremely troubling that such an evil person guilty of mass genocide, murder, supported rape and killing anyone not of your tribe was to be worshipped for all eternity when if god were real he truly should be killed to set us free. Realizing the being was made to scare children was very freeing indeed. Morals come from the environment we grow up in which is why they vary so much and are not objective or absolute at all. Your morals can be very different than mine of my neighbour or somebody on the other side of the world. The world never needed no had a god. We exist simply by chance. But what we do dictates our life. If we break laws that we as members of society set we can be arrested or even killed. Grass grows whether a god wills it or not. Back in the 1960's scientist created organic life from non organic materials. Today they can go further and make actual life. We are close to knowing how to terraform life on a planet. Are we gods? Some day some primitive life might see mankind as a god. All things have a composition, it's not proof on intelligent design. That has to be the most ignorant argument possible. Take frost on a cold winter night and the very intricate patterns they make on glass. There is nothing intelligent and no designer at all. Just wind patterns and small temperature patterns. But take a close look at how detailed it is. I am sorry but to think because something is complicated proves intelligent design is an argument already proven false.
