That’s why my hauls are sometimes so big, if I’m not using a Canadian Group Buy. If I’m already paying for the small International Shipping Box, why not max it out if I truly love many of the offerings! I filmed this nearly 1 week ago (Back to School season made editing tough, with my limited time at home) and my budget tells me that I'll have to take it easy this month, as well! For me, this is the perfect time of year (September, October) to stock up on favourite items for the start of the cold weather seasons in my area! I was very tempted by the Sassy Cats this month, too, but yes… you know me very well… I caught sight of their HHC listings and I held off for now! 😉

They were absolutely wonderful to purchase from through their Etsy site! I bought quite a bit … their prices for a Canadian market are quite affordable! I actually shared my full purchase on my channel a while back, if you’re curious to see all items I tried. The scent for their hand & body care items (unless noted elsewhere) is very subtle and fresh, barely there! Perfect for my scent-free workplace! Their polishes are outstanding so far! I purchased their full Winter Pearl collection (the price was too good when it was released! 😂)! The formula for these was decadent! Not at all like the streaky pearl finish polishes I grew up with! Rather silky, or satiny with flawless self-levelled finishes! If you try them out, let me know how it goes! 🇨🇦❤️

Aren’t the Northern Star Cuticle Oil sampler sets, great! I pick them up nearly every time I love all scents in the set… this month included! 😊 I made several cuts to my wishlist, too, but the Cuticula polish unexpectedly worked its way into my final shopping cart! 😬 I thought I already had something similar, but the polish I was thinking of was far more blue. I couldn’t let the Cuticula get away! ✨

I might seriously regret passing up on the Great Lakes Lacquer polish this month. There were just far too many incredible items to choose from! You have a complete hardcover version of Scary Stories?! Jeepers!!!!! 😯😵‍💫 I can remember as I started my career as an elementary teacher, visibly shuddering when I saw a copy of Scary Stories in our school library! 😂 Thanks for sharing your story about the root beer candy! 🩷 It really is interesting how our tastes can change so significantly as years go by! I’m sorry to say that I repeatedly flip-flopped on the Bluebird Lacquer, too. Sadly, it didn’t make the cut for me this month. I have feelings about my decision already! 😢 If only we could own them all… 🧡💫

@@Lacquerography I didn’t purchase it in the end either. I’ve had similar experiences with KD dinner. It appeals because of sentimental and strange aesthetics but it ultimately doesn’t satisfy. I wouldn’t do it justice. I might wear it for one or two occasions…a barbecue or a Thanksgiving dinner. I don’t think it compliments my neutral skin tone. 🤷‍♀️

One of the hardest months to make decisions, for sure! 😅😂 The only one we overlapped on this month was Monarch, if you ended up purchasing it. Every polish on your list was one that initially tempted me. In particular for me, the Emily de Molly was very hard to step away from! For the Cadillacquer, I wanted to get it, but I’m considering purchasing some from their own Halloween collection this year (if budget allows) so I’m holding out for that! I’ll be following along on your channel to see what ended up in your cart! 🧡

February’s Polish Pickup was one of my favourites for 2024, so far! The makers had a level of creativity for the theme that I didn’t anticipate! I had to pass up on several items for the Wild Animals theme that I hope will reappear for a July Rewind month in the near future. In particular, I think about Rogue’s Aim High a lot! Last year, I ordered from a local stockist, so I received the collection when my Summer Brights phase for the year was over. I am absolutely loving wearing them all for the first time 1 year later! I’m kind of mad at myself though, because several in the collection cross multiple seasons and I didn’t give them a chance last year! I’ll be wearing several throughout the Fall this year, as well! 😊 I love your idea of a monthly rack! Summer, in particular, is one of those seasons where I find my preferences at the start of the season differ wildly from my picks for the end of the season. Aquatic blues are a perfect choice for mid-late August! 🌊 I’ll can’t wait to find out what you wear! 💙🩵🏖️

What an amazing idea! I wore Sand Viper again just days ago (it is becoming a new favourite! ✨), but never thought of wearing it as part of a French mani. Brilliant! I put on a peely base before putting on Shake your Shamrock thinking I’d hate it on me. I ended up LOVING it! Although I needed to add some thinner to mine. I think that Emily Demily (😅) is such a unique polish, I might go back and grab it.

Like my music preferences, too! 😜😂 I used to be an avid reader, and I read all genres… I used to enjoy reading selections from “Canada Reads”, as well as checking out many trending popular reads, classics, … After pandemic lockdowns, the busy teaching lifestyle at the time had me lose all reading momentum and I’m interested in any favourite read recommendations to get the drive to read back after too many years!

My initial wishlists have been terribly long! 😂 I’m totally in agreement with you for the BKL. The smokiness of that deep blue haunts me! I can’t stop thinking about it! I have both Stolen Flame and Mr. Wildflower by Wildflower lacquer so I can probably skip this month’s WFL… although it is truly gorgeous! The Cadillacquer is another polish that caught my eye early on in the Facebook group. I have Watson by Cadillacquer from Oct 2022 which has a similar vibe, except it is missing the black glitters, so this month’s Cadillacquer never made my wishlist. 😅 These makers have to stop producing such gems! 😂 I’ll keep watching to see what you end up getting. I’ve been wearing neutrals more than expected this summer, too. Neons and brights are such fun, but sometimes the simplicity and versatility of neutrals have refreshing ease!
