I mostly post windsurfing videos. Always working on foiling or planing jibes.
New squat PB
335lb for a rep
I notice my shoulders and elbows aren't symmetrical. I probably should work on some shoulder mobility.

Fun day. Not my best jibes on camera. I ran out of battery and went from blade 5.0 to freek 5.6 and found the freek to be much better behaved in jibes. Was very gusty and choppy and kept finding the lulls while downwind in the jibe. Beautiful day. Got John on fin and foil too

Nice ! What is the sail size?
Thanks! This was an 8.0 Cheetah
hard to tell depth side angle next time? congrats on the 335 tho
Thanks. It was basically to parallel but the gym was a bit crowded to go for another angle
Where abouts is your foil mast positioned?
I think here it was 11 or 12cm. Now i keep it at 13cm. I marked some new lines further forward because the board came with them marked to 10
Are your measurements taken at the front, middle, or rear of the mast?
@@windprobe7264from the rear of the board to the rear of the mast. It's numbered from the rear
Nice footage! I am trying to learn the gybe. Been foiling for 5 years now, and can fast tack very well. My dialer 130L is delaminating, so I am.looking at this board as a possible choice. I am 175 poinds, could I get on foil with a 5.8 paired with i84cm front wing in 12 mph winds? Can this board be fast tacked in the process of learning the foil gybe?
Hmmm I can't speak honestly about fast tacking. I'm sure someone good could fast tack this board, but I almost always jibe it. It has more float on the nose than the wizard, which I may have tacked once before switching boards to something else. With that sail size and front wing you may be able to get that work depending on your pumping skills. You're quite a bit lighter than me, but I can't guarantee it. I think I would be using a larger sail at ~200-210lbs currently. Check Slingshot's site though, as they are selling these boards for very cheap
I feel you mate. This is very tiring. Drains energy and not much left once you manage to get up. This can even take enthusiasm away from wave sailing. Harness together in sweat spot and hands together (closer) when water starting. Boom I think is too high. The higher the boom the harder to water start. 6.6m2 sail is not planing board in this wind conditions. Trim sail more for bigger curve at lower height and and if it still not enough then close top edge a bit more. With boom too high it is harder to surf waves. It is less winsurfing more surfing. I am still of a view it is easier for surfers to learn windsurfing than windsurfing learning surfing with sail.
I bought a wizard 115 with a Neil Pryde gigantic foil. the wind glide 23 i figure the volume lacking for my 220lb will be helped by the foil. i got a 6.7 ezzy cross. maybe a setup for 12 plus 15kt and more. haven't tested yet. of course the plan is always losing some weight. thanks for posting . not many slingshots recent videos.
Yeah I can lose some weight too. For me, the volume of the wizard was pretty difficult to uphaul. The Freestyle is a lot easier to uphaul, and with how much it sinks it also is easier to waterstart in light winds anyway. Hoping to have more video, but I've been having camera issues
Smooth bro
Thank you!
Wow, awesome stuff, congratulations you two!!
Thank you!!
Things I notice: Toes come up, I think my weight was a bit too far back Could have a narrower grip and stance slightly Could weight more at the setting portion to make sure I'm locked in Looks like I could lift more with just slightly better technique
For god sakes, get in the harness and stay there! My arms are getting tired just watching you😂! No really, good job, you’re almost there. But getting fully committed to the harness would make things much easier.
Hahahaha yeah I think I've learned a little since then
💕Wow💗💗💗💗💗💗💙
Hi I just put a deposit on a blast cant wait to get it. It looks like you lost grip with the fin "Spunout" around 13.18 , if you are having trouble with spimout it is usally caused by to much weight on the back foot when plaining. hope that helps.
Yes this was a while ago but also I was on a 43cm non weed fin and I really needed my 47cm weed fin with this 9.5, very hard to spin that one out and it gets planing earlier
Haha, that's funny, I'm a beginner kiter and had this often, someone wanted to tell me something or I was admiring the view/pretty kites and my homespot has a lot of irregular waves and you don't focus for some seconds -> crash. :-D
Yeah you have to focus, especially on foil. On flat conditions though you can often feel the foil getting too high without looking down...but I'm not sure I'd want to fly with my eyes closed...
Nice, looked like you were almost knee deep! Was there enough to get planing?
Thanks! Yeah it was no problem with a 7.0 that day or saturday and yesterday. It releases really early compared to the foilx. Think it drops the minimum wind another knot or two because of how it pumps with the narrow tail
This was the same day: ua-cam.com/video/zxu9hVwXCs4/v-deo.html
Impressive uphaul skills 😮
Can the 115L be fast tacked?
@@benbhand thank you
Man you just keep progressing!
Thanks man, just keep getting scared of things and trying to overcome that...
Excellent ride !!
Can i ask, after this time, how fast can you go with the Dyno ?
I think it was 27kts max on this board with a 5.6 or 6.3 that I was able to do
@@aeroegnrExcellent Speed !!! My new Dyno 125 Will arrive this week and I was curious to know its real speed. Thanks for the aswer
@@Mamba_Negra_Wind You're welcome! Yeah it's a fun board. It does require you to point downwind more than a freeride board to get planing though, so keep that in mind. The more wavey boards I've ridden have been like that. Your 125 probably responds to pumping the tail a bit too. I have a kode 135 that really will pump up earlier than the 115 because I can bounce the tail.
@@Mamba_Negra_Wind Also I remembered this was one of the speed runs I did. Think I've taken it faster though ua-cam.com/video/3lXN1Guyclg/v-deo.html
@@aeroegnr ok. I Will point more downwind if necessary, thanks for the advice
Which Starboard board are you using, and which foil? Thanks.
Kode 135 and Foilx 145 with the Phantasm 926
Where did you place mast base this time?
Hmm this was so long ago that I can only guess, probably close to center. More recently I'll push it further forward in flat water with this board
Looked good to me.
Nothing a good Ferrell kitty couldn't take care of .
My dog heard that and her ears popped, her #1 Nemesis!! 😂😂
Where did you find it??😮
What is the wind speed currently? Also, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the FoilGlide 2 sail? it is easy for beginner?
10-12kts I would say. For the other question, I try to answer that in my latest video video: ua-cam.com/video/B5ipB5HWvTQ/v-deo.html
@@aeroegnr Great, thank you for the detailed advice provided in the video. Such cool descriptions are missing on UA-cam. I bought this sail, but as you mentioned at the beginning, I will start with older sails to avoid damaging the equipment due to mistakes. All the tips are very helpful. :)

Fred Howard Park
@@aeroegnr maybe one of these afternoons we coincide there. What times do you normally go to Fred Howard? I recently moved down to Land O Lakes from Ohio and have been trying to meet people to windsurf but other less important things like "work" always get in the way. Alright we'll see you one of these days. Thanks
@@robertozayas5490 Don't really have a regular time, just when it's windy and work allows. Any windy day you won't be alone there as there are plenty of kiters, windsurfers, and wingers out usually.
Nice 👍
Thank you!
tuck your ass more in ;) otherwise, kuddos !- (Also, your wishbone seems a bit too high imo .. thus your body position)
With you on the fin jibes! Keep at it.
It takes so much effort! Just need the wind to keep showing...
Thanks for sharing the stoke. Hang in there, keep on blasting!
Thank you!
Nice reach across! Once out of the wind shadow at SV, it was on! 🔥
Yeah it was tough between 5.0/5.6 yesterday
Idk, also veered downwind a lot! But I'm sure the pumping helped
It makes a big difference. At least 2 knots on wind to get planing if not more
nice session
Thank you!
@@aeroegnr Saturdau FHP I will have my slalom board and the foil I need help with the foil!!
@@davidfermandez9269 i am going to do tomorrow after work. Not sure I can make Saturday or not
Tough chop! Looks like the swells come from different directions.
Yep. There are seawall reflections and weird things causing gusts/shadows around here. Scary when foiling over 20mph or so, much more fun when powered up on a longboard or a fin board with some vee, or the foilx with a 103cm mast to fly above it. The launch is still tricky with a taller mast than this video. Was my 85cm mast and my riding is a little better now.
Good footage! Nice to have conditions without too much chop, although it is always more than how it looks on video.
Thank you. Yes, it is so much more benign than Davis Island. This is an overly long video but you can see the swell/chop at the launch there ua-cam.com/video/TQ4pf65BeHE/v-deo.html
Looks like a nice session. I need to get up to FHP sometime. Like that hand drag!
Thanks man. Yeah it's a great flat water spot with lots of room on the outside and the chop isn't that bad even on the outside. Definitely need weed fin or delta and aim for higher tide if you do
🔥
Thank's a lot for the inside view of a windsurf race !! Greetings from Germany !
Thanks for appreciating it!
great vidéo de France 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Merci beaucoup!
I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Letting out every bit you can and hanging on for dear life. Thanks for putting it on the UA-cam.
😁 Thank you, of course another time when I stayed in the straps and sent it over a wave I didn't get it on video!
how do you add the little speedometer and where you were sailing? is it in the watches settings or?
I used to be able to add a speedometer in the gopro app but you can't now with the 360 cam. Honestly I've been having problems with it.
Back in the shorty!
Yeah it was in the 60s by the time I got out, but the water was chilly and sunset was coming
5.8 is my go to if I question the conditions. If you get over powered just go hard up wind .
Yeah I think I needed more sail. I'm a little better since then at picking sail sizes in conditions like that but still have a lot to learn
What fin are you using? Thanks!
That one was a 40cm k4 fang
How shallow is it? Could I ride my 145L out there. Looks like lots of flat water between waves. Anyone eve ride freeride boards out there?
Yep! I did at first on lighter days before I had a wave board at all. You'll definitely want a day where it's mostly side shore, not dead west wind or dead onshore or it will suck. I've seen someone on an inflatable windsup, a windsurfer LT, bigger stuff. It's more being aware of wave/wind conditions and how to launch. It takes practice. Any of the guys including me that go there regularly will be happy to help you out I've run my 44cm fin/blast 145 out there and even foiled. There's a small deeper portion, then a sandbar that is exposed at low tide, then it gets deep. You just have to be aware of the sandbar and push your board out to where your fin won't hit before beach starting You'll also have to be careful with your rig with the shorebreak but on sideshore at least it's not too bad. Biggest sail I've used there is 8.0
I'm also pretty sure your skill level is far above where I was at when I was going out on the blast 145 with a 6.6 race sail. This video is painful to watch but I did get planing a little in it, from 2 years ago at the link. May also want to try outside at scenic in ~6.6-8.0 weather too, on the outside. When you can plane with a sail smaller than that it's going to be rough in any unprotected spot ua-cam.com/video/xQSHVOSYRDc/v-deo.html
@@aeroegnr Thanks for the encouragement and the reality check too! Yeah, I definietely need to venture outside at SV now. Maybe get some confidence in that and then North Beach.... but the waves look fun. I used to surf so there is that immediate draw to waves and catching them.
@@gusthunter8780 You're welcome man. If you want someone to tag along when you go outside at scenic and I'm there then I can. Just don't have to go out that far as until you get used to it. Good time to check harness lines, mast base elastomer, etc. as well
@@aeroegnr Yeah would be great! Appreciate it.
That Kode 135 looks awesome!
Love it!
You should try a bigger sail in these conditions 👍
Thank you for sharing. I also drive a Kode 135 and have a lot of fun with it. With 7.7 I ride a 43cm freeride fin because the 38cm Freewave doesn't have enough pressure for me.
Thank you, I may try to use a bigger fin in single fin mode. I've got a 40cm k4 fang that was a bit too big for my 115 dyno but may work with the wider tail on the kode. It works well on my big windsup too. The 38cm weed slalom (MUF) was also about right it felt to me, but felt a lot stiffer in turns than the stock fin. The stock fin was more playful but kept grabbing weeds.
