If you've found your way here you're likely someone who likes to create, DIY, modify, etc. and that's what this channel is all about. I love to make things and will be uploading videos of the various projects I work on and hopefully more in the future.
I primarily focus on woodworking, wood turning, and resin work, but I'm always trying new things and will inevitably be expanding out to more projects as time permits.

Custom Pedalboard - Walnut and Maple

My old board had seen better days and was getting crowded, so it was time to build a better board. We can rebuild it, we have the technology.
Making a Kanabo - The Ultimate Samurai Bop Stick
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Рік тому
First video in the new shop! I made a baseball bat on my lathe recently, and when I showed my brother he asked me to make a Kanabo instead, so here we are. This was a lot of fun to make and I think it turned out looking nice, albeit sharp and dangerous lol Thank you for watching!
I Built a Guitar out of SpectraPly and Epoxy Resin
Переглядів 2,2 тис.4 роки тому
I bought some awesome looking SpectraPly panels on sale from Cousineau Wood Products a while back, so what better to do with them than build a guitar? This was a difficult but extremely fun project and I'm excited to do more like it. With the hardware I put in and the refinements I was able to taylor to myself, I think this may be the best playing guitar I own. •⚫Guitar Hardware Details⚫• ➡Fend...
I made a breadbox with a built in cutting board.

DIY Arcade Stick - Walnut & Epoxy Resin
Переглядів 25 тис.4 роки тому
This was a late Christmas gift for a good friend and a very fun project. This stick is running off of a Brook Universal Fighting Board which makes it compatible with just about anything that plays games.
Exotic Hardwood Cutting Board
Переглядів 34 тис.5 років тому
Finally got my hands on some nice exotic woods and thought this would be a fantastic project to test the new planer. I'm really happy with how this one came out.
Woodturning - Matching Corkscrew & Stopper Laminates

Started with the stopper then decided to turn a matching corkscew with the rest of the blank. Finished with Tru-Oil.
Woodturning - Happy Trees | Aspen & Cedar
Переглядів 1335 років тому
I wanted to feel festive this year so I made little trees with snow covered bases for decorations. The first tree is made from Aspen and the second larger tree is Red Cedar.
Making a Cutting Board Without a Planer - A Lifetime of Sanding.
Переглядів 57 тис.5 років тому
First attempt at making a cutting board. I don't own an electric planer so I had to do the leveling/shaping with various sanders and a router which took forever. I'm happy with this as my very first cutting board, but a planer is absolutely next on my list of tools to aqcuire.
Making a Glow-In-The-Dark Celing Fan Pullchain - Woodturning
Переглядів 1795 років тому
I like my room to be dark, but I don't like accidentally sticking my hand into the ceiling fan in the middle of the night - now I can enjoy living in a cave without the fear of breaking my fingers.
Woodturning - Eastern Red Cedar Gavel

Woodturning - Figured Poplar Burl & Walnut Wine Glass Stem
Переглядів 3625 років тому
In this video I'm turning a multi-color wine glass stem to bring some life back to an otherwise broken glass. I thought it would look cool if I laminated the poplar and walnut to get a sort of pinstripe look and I love the way it turned out. Royalty Free Music: www.bensound.com

❣️❣️❣️❣️ so clean, so beautifully done! 🤗
Woah I thought for sure this was a highly viewed video when I heard it. 😮
This goes so crazy
wow that is a bread box😊
Gorgeous!!! I want one 🎉
Thank you! 😁
Can't believe you pulled the scrap out with the blade turning. Safety pays brother.
I had definitely turned the saw off but you are correct that the blade was still spinning down. For sure a dumb move that I would not recommend anyone try and wouldn't do myself these days. We all make mistakes and learn as we go, thankfully none had to be learned by losing a body part. This video is old and I was younger and dumber back then 🙏
Very beautiful build. I agree with Kevlar that you should really get a long dowel and glue it into each of the pocket screw holes and then cut it off. That would bake the whole project just that much more appealing to the eye. Beautiful cutting board though!
What are the songs you're playing in this video?
I want to say the first one is a random royalty free track I found online and the rest are misc. tunes I made for my videos so I didn't have to look for royalty free songs lol. I know I have all the info in the video project on my PC so I'll confirm tomorrow and let you know.
Song 1: ua-cam.com/video/pEQu0rk3300/v-deo.html Song 2: ua-cam.com/video/YYh4HkYKnOo/v-deo.html The rest of the video contains stuff I made.
@@ShopTherapy Thanks a lot! :D
@@catioropulguento no problem 😁
I wish I could have my mixbox remade into something like this, so good
Thank you! I've never seen a mitbox but just looking on Google it seems like you would probably be able to move the internals into a different shell if you wanted to!
@@ShopTherapyyeah definitely, ive got a brooks board with a 20pin harness kit and im changing my wasd keys to 24mm buttons atm, the problem is zero woodworking skills and zero tools😂, im studying how to do though online abit so hopefully with my wife and her dads help ill make something quality and with a slanted wrist rest
@heroicsquirrel3195 Haha thats totally fair! Luckily skills can always be developed and if you can borrow tools you're 95% of the way there 🙏 just make a practice box with cheap lumber before you try the real thing so you can iron out any kinks and I'm sure you'll be able to make exactly what you want 🔥
@@ShopTherapy yeah ill do that, then get an exotic wood or something for the real one👌
Buen trabajo te felicito 👍
Gracias! 🙏
Damn. Where can we order something like this?
One of these days I'll get around to opening an online store or something lol :(
Beautiful arcade stick design. where u from?
Thank you, I really appreciate that! I'm in the pacific north west, US.
Cooooooooool
are the plans available for this would love to try this
learn.kregtool.com/plans/two-story-bread-box/ Here you go! Just a note after having this for several years, if you bake fresh bread often and aren't just storing store bought bread, either make the cutting board slightly thicker than 3/4 or make the grooves a bit wider to allow for expansion. When we bake fresh bread the additional moisture causes the cutting board to swell and for the first day or two after we have a fresh loaf we can't pull it out lol

Thank you 😭🙏
'Promo SM'
Damn man that's actually some top tier work, it turned out great
Thank you very much! I appreciate that 🙏
If you put LED lights under the resin, will it illuminate? or is it too opaque?
It illuminates! I tried it when I was building it but didn't end up adding any LEDs.
I like to watch this at X2 speed and pretend im traveling through time and space
😅 2x speed here would be something like 4,800x real speed lol
Gorgeous
Aw yeah new shop therapy let's go
fantastico verdadeira obra de arte 👏👏👏
Something about the stick being so far from the buttons just makes me twitch, but otherwise beautiful.
Haha that's fair! I used a template I got online but admittedly had little to no personal experience with fight sticks outside of an arcade, so I'm sure I could have done a lot of things differently/better. I'm planning to make another one eventually that follows a more standard format factor. Thanks for checking the video out though and I appreciate the feedback!
I work in a lumber yard. I was sifting through some boards to figure out what I wanted to use for a cutting board. I picked some exotics but was told most are poisonous and can’t really be used for cutting boards unless only used for decor. Is this true? I see a lot of exotics used in videos and I highly doubt people would spend 100s of dollars on a cutting board they couldn’t use.
To the best of my knowledge, that is not an accurate statement. I have heard the argument that some exotic woods contain oils that certain individuals can be sensitive/allergic to, but the general consensus was that no food would be sitting on the board long enough to allow those oils to leach into the food. To your point if they are toxic then 98% of the cutting board industry is doing it wrong 😅
This is so cool! Your videomaking skills are also great
Thank you so much! That really means a lot and I appreciate it.
Sped up lathe noises are my ASMR
It gets kind of hypnotizing after a while when you're turning stuff
Really clever design and thanks for sharing plans. Might I suggest using plugs for those pocket holes? It honestly takes away quite a bit when you see them. Every time you open the box. I couldn't stand it. Otherwise, it's brilliant.
Thank you! At the time I made this I didn't have any plugs or dowels, but I agree 100% and later went back to plug those holes because it also bothered me lol
Wow just wow love it excellent job. Wondering if you had any plans for it?
Thank you so much! Here are plans for the same design: housefulofhandmade.com/diy-bread-box/
I love the color pattern you chose. Please tell me the name of the woods you chose. Thanks
Thank you! This one was walnut, purple heart, canary wood, curly maple, and ash 😁
@@ShopTherapy Thanks!
Que show 👏👏👏 parabéns
Love this build. Looks amazing.
Thank you! I really appreciate it 😁 I'm hoping to make another in the near future to use myself, but life has been crazy and I haven't been in the shop much.

Please send material measurements, and or plans.

Nice but personally i would have used a jointer with glue. Just adds that additional strength more than just glue itself.
would making the board out of more resin make it an integral weakness? Or would resin be able to withstand button mashing? Did you consider putting plexy to protect the surface
If the resin is thick enough I'd be confident making an entire top out of it honestly, it's really strong once it cures. A plexi top probably would've been a good idea but hopefully the lacquer holds up 😅
Amazing! You're a gifted craftsman.
And a talented musician
This is a great video, only problem I see is a lack of Dewalt tools. Rest is good tho.
do you have a plan for this, it's beautiful and brilliant
Thanks! Here's plans for the same design: housefulofhandmade.com/diy-bread-box/
Beautiful board!
Thank you! 😁
i don't know if its just me or the video, it's blurred...
just curious .....did you sell this board if so how did you price it....or what would you price a piece like this. The materials are expensive
I didn't sell this one, it was a gift for a family member. I've honestly seen prices all over the place for these but I'd check out Etsy to get an idea based on the size, materials and layout (some are laser etched, have fancier patterns, etc) because they vary so significantly. Hope that's somewhat helpful!
_Translator;_ Everything is perfect, except for the three buttons.
Those 3 buttons still haunt me 😭 the drill bit slipped and there was no good way to fix it at the time
Uma bela obra de arte parabéns 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Obrigada! 😁
Totally amazing!
Thank you!
A tip i saw on another channel. Sprinkle some table salt over the glue once you have it spread out, it stops the pieces sliding as you clamp them. :)
Fantastic tip! Thank you!
Все хорошо , но это брынчание на гребаной гитаре
Trên cả tuyệt vời
How thick is your board?
It was just under 3/4" when it was finished.
I'm in the middle of this challenge right now myself. Hopefully the handheld belt sander I've got reduces my sanding time to 1939.5 hrs or fewer as opposed to a random orbit sander... my glue up took a twist so I'm looking at quite a bit of removal to get the wobble out.
Wishing you the best of luck! I never trusted my harbor freight belt sander because mine seems to love digging in but I'm sure it would be easier as long as you can keep it mostly level.
