i, too, sang this in high school! it was 1976 and it was a community choir, made up of about 100 voices from the throughout Utica, Michigan!! what spine-tingling, tear-dripping memories!! thank you!!

It's a Lady name Crystal Henley that owns this Sing. I've never heard anybody blow the roof off of the church like her.

The mens choir at my home church used to do this and my dad often had the solo. Makes me think of him everytime I hear the song

I feel this song very original

I remember I had some people who tried to stop me from getting a blessing and I had some people who tried to steal my blessing from me but I notice when they did me like this the lord handled the situation where I didn't have to worry about it anymore. I just thank God for having my back because he was protecting me from getting with the wrong people and the wrong opportunities in my life.

As a child in a very abusive home I sung this song at the top of my lungs...I always played this over and over feeling Gods unexplained magic rushing through my veins. God has ALWAYS blessed me abundantly even though this world didn't want anything to do with me.

My very, very favorite is the Seattle Black Nativity at the Intiman Theater. The same amazing lady does it every year. My CD of it got broken. Dang! I loved singing and butt dancing to it in my car! Thank God for the timeless lyrics and hope!

@Robert Jordan ok ppl who's deaf or hard of hearing are feeling the beat and see interpreter signing in religion songs and sermon but hard of hearing can have both world because used a hearing aid to hear what they said deaf ppl can't hear is that clear but I'm hard of hearing
