Thafuck you aren't barefoot on the beach you heathen! 😮
I love Wilson’s Promontory. The beaches are so scenic and I loved the wombats on Squeaky Beach . Enjoy !!
Enjoy snorkeling and the ship wreck !
I hope you get less windy days .
If you still have them, don’t throw the seats away. I project you having a lot of kids and will need to reinstall them back into the van.
Australia has so much beauty. I couldn’t block the windows. Build something in front of them, maybe.
I’d make a custom patch to cover the KINGS logo, like maybe the name of your UA-cam channel!
what k8nd of snakes in the dunes?!....
dugites
Is it cold over there?
Around 30 degrees Celsius when we went :)
Thanks for the tour - looks great!
You have to put yourself and your family first, Connor. You'll find something else...
Hi Conner, i am convering my toyota and live south of Perth. Where did you get your solar panels ? In WA? Cheers Kev
I purchased from Renogy, ordered online and they delivered for a fee. :)
You didn't show Squeaky Beach. That's the best part of the Prom !! It's a beautiful spot!
The last 20 seconds!
Wilson's Promontory
Did you go in your campervan there?
@@royalkamran I lived nearby and still have rels in the area. I only made day trips.
I've been there many times as I used to live nearby. Taken many exchange students there for a visit. Did you see any wombats 😊
bogy build rough and awful ..should have been called how to make a shit box
Nice!
Very good van!
I'm in the market for a similar van and noticed a Slwb Hiace for $16k with 230k km on the clock so your price was ok with the lower kilometres. The trend thats occurring now are bigger and newer Renaults are going for much the same price.
Question; why use the metal cross bracing for the solar panels? If the panels come with a frame wouldn't you just bolt the panel frame to the roof racks?
A lot of unmarked graves in this town believed to belong to indigenous children. The town has a dark history of sexual abuse as well.
they used to do great bread!
Hi are these fans noisy when using at night
Hi what thickness plywood did you use for the slide out kitchen thanks
🎉❤😊

Those Fiskars "Splitting Axes" are the best for camping/touring. Very tough and robust. Your 24" is probably the best allrounder. The steel is rather soft so having a puk sharpener is worth while. When splitting, Feet apart and the log in centre in front of you like a triangle. If you miss, It will follow through between your legs and not into them. When the head strikes the log, The handle should be level with the ground so it can only "Glance" sideways and not follow through. When splitting logs low on the ground is when follow through becomes an issue. You must be mindful of it and foot position more critical.
Hey, nice conversion series. What was the reversing camera/ mirror that you purchased?
*never mind, watched part 1 :)
First thing I'd say about cutting wood. With one of those Fiskars axes. Is don't do it in slides. One slip and your foots f**ked. Steel cap boots.
What he ⬆️ said.
100% you are right, do not chop wood in slides folks 🫡
Hi Connor, the birds you referred to are ‘Kookaburras’, cheers.
Wow, $22500. I now feel like we got ours for a bargin. We got ours for $8500 admittedly with a generous family discount, it only had 154,000 km on it and free from any major panel damage. They had trouble selling it , I suspect because it was configured for a wheelchair access. Of course we may end up finding it there are multiple mechanical problems and have already had a fuel filter problem as it had sat for a good 12 months with virtually not being driven. Still it made it back ( just) from Brisbane to Adelaide so at least the motor is in sound condition. I tell you what these things are noisy without the floor in ;)
That's a great price - you got a bargain with all that included! Hopefully the van holds up for you!
@@ConnorTalks11 My wife bought it off her sister who had it gifted to her but was unable to sell it. Not sure how much effort she put in but its to our advantage. Did have a problem on the trip back with loss of acceleration and cut outs but this looks like it was a blocked fuel filter. Pity I had to pull out the existing floor to get to it but I was going to put sound deadening/insulation under anyway. I'll just make sure there is an inspection hatch this time. Its damn noisy without the floor. Other than that it seems to run ok and can slowly get started on the project.
We have just purchased exactly the same year van which had a wheel chair lifter in it. Yes it was a buggar of a job to get out as its so heavy. Seats had already been removed save for a modified double seater which folds up to the side. Had an engineering certificate for a 5 seater so I guess the wheel chair counted as one. To another poster the original seat hole bolts where still in place and uncovered, no welding. Also had multiple railings on the floor which proved somewhat difficult to get out as it needed one person underneath to hold the nut whilst undoing from the top. One additional problem was we had a fuel issue and you guessed it the access hatch had been covered over with the floor with no inspection hatch. Something to keep in mind as for the petrol models of this era the fuel filter is incorporated in the fuel pump. Ended up ripping out the whole floor as there was so many gaps anyway and heaps of holes from the additional bolts that needed filling. . The fuel filter was absolutely caked with shit so obviously hadn't been changed in a while. These videos are proving most informative as I can now see how things are attached and the like.
Hi Connor! Yes a portable toilet is a must for emergency. There was a flushing toilet in the camping spot we went last. We stayed for 2 days. During the last day both toilets were blocked up. I’m glad we always bring our portable toilet. Watching you from Queensland, Australia.
Great tip - There is nothing worse then when the campsite toilet is backed up!
We have been travelling for over 15 years, in tents on motorbikes, in campervans, motorhomes and cars and we have never ever had a problem with people bothering us. I think the chances of people bothering you with ill intent is rather low. Oh and if someone parks close to us in a camp, we move further away or leave!
Lil bit creative
Oath!
Where's the walkthrough?
ua-cam.com/video/sEqIYoCYjgs/v-deo.html
iam subbing right now!
Wish toyota made a good shape van with all wheel drive . These are no good for dirt tracks as way to low . The old VJ VM transit van was an awesome shape . Toyota really need to update this van and put a bigger engine in them . They would make a killing here .
Your cost is high because of a woman's touch.
I thinks the Kings stuff is Ok for what it is. I have a few of their things and probably 90 percent of it has held up well. Great van build mate! Always good to see another WA van on UA-cam!
Yeah totally agree, it isn't top of the line but we knew that when we bought it! The majority of it holds up pretty well. WA is stunning.
1:00 Mine is a lot like yours, but no work done yet. I have eight seats, four in a line behind the front seats, two on the passenger's size. If you would like to reshoot your deleted video, you need to get yourself to Mandurah.
Love this type of van building. Not everyone can afford 100-200k for a van. Keep up the good work. We are 2 weeks out from completing our Van build on our channel. Look forward to seeing your progress.. Great idea with having the kitchen slide out. Wish I would have thought of that.
Really enjoyed this simple build. Looking forward to the walkthrough...
Id love to see a walk through upon completion
I've enjoyed your build series. Are you travelling in WA already?
Thankyou! On and off at the moment when we can find some time between work...
@@ConnorTalks11 Im down Bunbury way. Let me know if youre ever in the area!
Awesome work, bro
Thanks ✌️
No insulation mate? Good luck in 40 degree heat
I'm planning to convert my car into a camper, so it will really help if you could do an in-depth video on how to setup the wiring, since I'm planning to have a solar mounted on the roof and also having installed an alternator charger. Also I want a setup that's kinda almost the same as you, feel that 200 AH battery is enough for me, I'm not an electrician and never done wiring so you get my point, it can be scary for someone like me, worried that I might do something which could be a dangerous fire hazard. Anyways, I love your videos! <3
