This video needs to go viral. One question: The patients who are living 40 years with intact restorations, and what appears to be decay under the fillings, are they completely healthy or are they getting continuous coughs and congestion or might have dementia ?

Most dentists I know are retiring earlier than the average person. I sold my practice at 50 and now just work a couple of days a week. It’s awesome. With all these corporate dental practices opening up, solo practices are going the way of the dinosaurs.

I paid 30,000 for a all in 4 procedure and want to do the same on bottom but don't wanna spend another 30,000. Do you see the price coming down in the next few years since not many dentists are qualified to do this since its a new procedure? I live in Long Island NY

I wish patients ASKED, but they come in assuming their 'insurance' pays for everything in full. We are the bad guy for busting the bubble. I find success guiding patients towards the lowest cost option in the long run. For example - "You want to do the root canal today instead of the extraction. Even though the root canal is expensive in comparison to the extraction, you will miss this tooth and UNFORTUNATELY it is more expensive for me to replace this GOOD tooth later than FIX IT RIGHT now." - discuss how an implant is expensive compared to a root canal, B/U, crown - I am talking about good prognosis teeth here - poor prognosis I recommend ext and replace to spend the least money in the long run
