Hey everyone! I’m 20 years old and in LOVE with aviation. This channel is meant to show you aviation from my eyes. I want to show you and talk about my experiences (the good, the bad, and the mistakes) both past and present. All this started for me when I was 14 years old. So whether you’re 14 or 40 I hope to have something here that you can learn from and/or enjoy.
Interested in Getting Your Pilot's License?
#TrainingTipTuesday Just wanted to give the VERY basics of how to get started with YOUR flying adventures! Forgot to mention the written Knowledge Test you’ll take after your ground training and the ‘checkride’ (Oral and Practical Tests) when your instructor says you’re ready to be tested by a designated pilot examiner (DPE). Enjoy!

Thanks a lot!
Congrats ! buddy you have done a fabulous job.
Thanks 👍
Beautiful aircraft, Chandler. I was an aircraft mechanic with Delta airlines for 32 years. Did a lot of structural work in that time. There's nothing like building, with your hands, on a project like that. One learns the joy and sense of well-being and pride you get from your accomplishment. You may want to read a book entitled; Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance. It's a basic look at the spiritual philosophies that distinguish people who become one with a machine through the joy of knowing and appreciating it, as opposed to people who don't understand the love of machines. It's one of the most read and basic philosophy books, ever written. A story written based on the author's motorcycle trip he took his son on. I read it a couple of times. Also another good read is; Shop Class As Soul Craft. I live in the Atlanta area(Delta's technical base of operation). My oldest son is a graduate of Georgia Tech, Aerospace Engineering. That airplane and you will become best friends, and you'll get to know it's nuances and the intricacies of its flight characteristics and capabilities every time you flight it. It's as much a living breathing thing as you yourself. Both made up of molecules. You'll know without looking at an engine gage, when something isn't quite right in that Lycoming, and you'll feel the flight controls like the extension of your hand and feet they are. That's what REALLY being a seat of the pants pilot is actually about. That term has been thrown around a lot, but when you feel that machine is family, is when you'll realize the most joy from it. Good luck son, from one man and "machine philosopher".
Great plane. Awesome completed image(s).
Glad you like it
Great video. Very interested in building one myself out here in AZ !
You should!
That’s Wonderful

Take one of the engine next annual !
We Will have to!
Chandler, I 'm starting my RV14A build and really like how you outfitted your aircraft and planning the same type set up. I'm very curious about which IO-360 engine you used. I understand obviously needs to be angle valve, however, the prop governor needs to be mounted forward left. Curious if you bought new or found one and had overhauled? Thanks
Almost without question the biggest single challenge of building an airplane is PAYING for it. Sadly......not everyone has such a generous gift from their parents and go many decades just dreaming of this.
950TH Subscriber! Excited to join your journey. You're truly an inspiration. I'm hoping to pursue my private pilot's license within the next year. Thanks for the advice.
Boring as he!!
EXCELLENT Job, Great skills developed throughout the build. You FINISHED a major project in your early years. "If you don't finish, You get nothing"
Still finishing up the Pvt but always fun to look forward! Great video!
I don’t even know my abc’s . Imagine Vmc, vs1,vs, vfr, IFR, vyse, vsx and don’t forget the big BS.
Not in NJ
I do automotive restoration for a living and I am curious as to why you can't just use a polyester glazing putty for the pin holes and imperfections? Not sure if there are special requirements for aviation. Looking forward to building a 10 one day. Thank you!
You can do that. But as in airplane building, keeping it light is important. How do cut 1 lb from the airplane, cut 1 ounce in 16 places. The reverse is also true. How do you add 1 lb to the airplane, by adding 1 oz in 16 places. These ounces will add up fast and your plane will end up heavy. So in airplane, we use epoxy and microballoon and a lot of sanding to keep the weight down, even when it will take a lot more time compare to polyester putty. Every once counts.
Nice plane.
Safford is where I did my flight training at in the early 80's.
no tank sealent between the hinges and the firewall? I should have built a 10!
Congrats
Looking forward to your next posts.
I’m glad you didn’t eat that bug that was crawling all over your face @07:19 😂
Love the RV14. We're getting ready to build our 14A
Looking great - Keep it up
