I practiced Buddhist meditation (he mentioned Vipassana 10 day retreats, I used to do those) and visited Northern India to learn about Tibetan Buddhism, and did some Zen practice as well. I also did ayahuasca in Peru as well as dabbled in many other philosophies he mentioned. We even have in common that our fathers were into Gurdjieff and Oupensky. But his description of the long term effects of practicing Buddhism were the best I have heard. Just the empty abyss of non being. There was nothing there there. There was no actual relief after all those long years of it. I felt good after a retreat for a few days and then life just became rotten again. Since coming back to faith in Jesus, I am so full - full of love, full of joy, full of hope. I also cry in church (never cried in meditation, you weren't supposed to engage with feelings while meditating). And it's effortless. No long hours of gruelling meditation, thwacking your consciousness into equanimity. I remember one of the meditation teachers saying we are scraping away at our karma like water on a stone, as we sat and that we had many thousands of lives of this crap until we could reach Nirvana and just feeling exhausted. Depressions followed, lots of drinking and partying, hedonism. Plus I always disliked the performative side of westerners practising spirituality like it was a costume. Like oh I am such a fairy princess of blissful joy on my yoga mat, namaste namaste, smell my pachouli, and then turned around and were total jerks to someone. Like him, I pooh-poohed Christianity but I have a very persistent aunt who patiently listened to me come back from my travels around the world to tell her my latest theories about the meaning of life and the way reality works and so on and so on. And she helped guide me back. She gave me the children's book the Runaway Rabbit, which she said was about God's love following me all over the world while I rejected it, until I finally stopped and opened my arms. Anyone who is still searching, I recommend getting a bible, just start reading it, pray, ask God to come into your life. What have you got to lose?

This guy offers some deep knowledge, I really appreciate his insight. Pneuma tes Aletheias (John 16:13) and Pneuma Zoes (Romans 8:2) are the two times that feminine genitive modifiers are used when describing the Spirit in the Koine Greek, which the NT was written in. That is feminine because the Greeks thought 'Truth' and 'Life' were feminine essences. But even with that said, the Greek syntax still reads as masculine when read together and is therefore translated as He correctly.

Wicca is considered a modern interpretation of pre-Christian traditions. Wicca also borrows heavily from Ceremonial Magic which ultimately has its roots in Judeo-Christian tradition. Wicca draws from many sources without a whole lot of thought about whether it’s okay to take from those sources, so it’s for sure good to be cautious, as with ANY tradition. Wicca tends to take from other religions with no idea how the original beliefs worked. Do keep in mind, Wicca is one of countless traditions, and Neopagan is but one small facet of paganism. Also, Witchtok is a travesty and a horrible example to use. One thing I have notice that people like you always do... you always talk ABOUT pagans, but never TO them.
