I'm Veronica Paulsen, a professional big mountain skier in Jackson, WY. You might know me from Kings and Queens of Corbet's, where I was the first woman to land a backflip into the couloir, and the first woman to attempt a double backflip into the couloir.
I started a new video series where I showcase a different professional athlete each episode. We'll get an insight into their daily life, and see what we can learn from them along the way.

what happens when you get the sled to the top? do you have to skin back up and get it once you've skied down?
You leave a sled at the bottom so you can double up to the sled at the top

This is great. I love hot and cold camping in winter. The east is nothing like the west but I still have fun. Now I see the stove, I was wondering why you wouldn’t have one at first. Excellent camp and equipment. Completely fantastic outing. 😊❤️🇺🇸❄️☃️🛷🔥⛺️🌄
Thanks!! The stove was a game changer, just being able to cook and hang out in the warmth was sooooo nice. And it helped to dry out all of our wet gear at the end of the day!
@@veronicapaulsen yep, all true. I was wondering with your snowmobile issues, do you ride on trail a lot? Off trail powder riding is a whole different discipline especially with a rack and equipment on the back. Perhaps some groomed trail time can get you more acclimated to the machine, then some off trail time with no equipment to get the different nuances of the situation. I was a tour guide many years ago and had a knack for understanding beginner riders. Trail riding extensively gives the fundamentals and confidence to them understand off trail.
@@mobilewintercamp7515 I do feel totally comfortable on trails, it's just the powder riding that gets me stuck, but that's what all my friends are doing so that's usually where I end up. I also have a pretty old and heavy sled so that makes it difficult. Thinking of upgrading next year and signing up for a workshop/beginner's camp! I definitely should go some days without skis on my rack, it's just hard for me to leave the skis at home when there's pow out there 😄

More like a posh trek than any winter camping I've done . But most of that was vertical winter camping...bivies. I'll bet the food was good though.
