Are car batteries really that expensive? | Oreilly's Lawnmower Battery | Lumix S5ii Vlog Test
A few months ago, I purchased a new camera for professional work and I needed to test a few things out to make sure it would do the things I needed it to do on the job!
I thought, what better way than to put it through a vlog of everyday tasks here on the hill.
This is in no way an actual review of this camera. This is just a vlog using the new camera and I think it performed great!
The Auto-focus was very solid. The IBIS was really good, even for a Full-Frame sensor.
In the off chance that you landed on my channel thinking you'd get a review of the Lumix S5ii, let me know if you'd like to chat about it. I'd be more than happy to discuss my thoughts and feelings and what I like/don't like about it.

    I enjoyed your video sir, I have only been using a single aider on the bottom step, I find them way too difficult (for me) to try to stab a foot in them in the dark especially on the way down. I have made my own, so there is that as well. Thanks for sharing this with us and know you have a new sub, Ha, no, I am old, I dont even like 16-17 inch step spreads hahah. I like them close, it makes my life easier, I would rather carry another stick and have the space a little better. Thanks agian sir, have a blessed week, and successful season sir. Dale

    Some have experienced difficulty in drawing because of tightness. I wish you'd have addressed what is arguable the most important aspect - ease of drawing the pistol in an emergency.

    • @lifeonthehilltn
      @lifeonthehilltn Місяць тому

      That's something that I think gets better with time and practice. It's a really fine line to know what everyone prefers between secure (and not going to fall out) and also being easy to draw. I know, I personally enjoy the security of knowing it's going to hold my gun well, but I also understand some may prefer a faster and easier draw process.

    • @JoeBuck-uc3bl
      @JoeBuck-uc3bl 17 днів тому

      It feels SO secure with how well it snuggly snaps into place in the molded holster!! I just ordered this AND a Diamond D (which looks more comfortable and more of a relaxed fit, yet not that snappy secure feeling of Kenai) for the same exact gun, so I can’t wait to do an apples to apples comparison of the very same gun! I hear lots of praise for Diamond D, as well as Kenai.

    Why would the space between the top aider step and the stick not be around the 17” that you ordered? I get when you step on it it may give an inch or so, but that seems like a much bigger gap than you ordered

    I built my own sticks and aiders. I’m 6’ I highly recommend not going larger than 17”. Boots and gear, on a really cold day climbing down can be tricky. I also made my aider w am-steel , but I used 3/8” You need those aider built over kill. I’m 215 pounds w heavy clothes boot & gear Pushing 300 lbs on coming down. With momentum Now 3/8” X 4” Like 200pounds per square inch plus, in motion. Better check those cheap 1/4” aider often Especially if you added them to the upper sticks. Be safe, please!

    I don’t have a Kenai but I have another similar chest rig for a Glock 20 olight balrS. I use it for woods carry. But I have also been thinking about running it for daily carry especially carry in the car. The platform is just so comfortable and easily accessible and out of the way. We can open carry in Georgia and I’d probably put it under a jacket or vest to keep it less open. It’s just too comfortable and useful not to and still have a duty sized handgun that is in a PERFECT spot for use. Quick on and off too. A kydex chest rig is unbeatable for large handguns. Great review!

    I'm 5'8" and with a 17" step spacing on my 3 step aider I can't reach high enough to make the bottom step worth while, so I usually just skip the bottom rung. Then, once on the aider, the steps are just far enough apart that it is difficult to make the next step up the aider, particularly with heavy clothing on. I should have went with 15" or even 14" spacing. After a couple seasons struggling with the 17" spacing, I'll be going to a smaller spacing next year. Aiders are great but you've got to be realistic about what you use. It's just like being able to draw a 75lb bow when you are shooting at the range but can't draw it when it's cold and you're in a tree. You've got to go with what will actually work in the field under real conditions.

    • @lifeonthehilltn

      I agree! I think people have this obsession with getting and bring the highest in the tree as possible. I’m about your size myself and I have issues with my step spacing as I mentioned in the video. Aiders truly are great, but knowing what you can comfortably span is SUPER IMPORTANT when buying your aiders. I’ve learned my lesson and I hope the video has helped others avoid a similar mistake as I
