This video shows the comparison of the WF-502b, Keygos KE-1 and Trustfire 3T6. The 3 flashlights have the following outputs: CREE WF-502b R5 280 Lumens, Cree XML-T6 1300 Lumens, Trustfire 3T6 3800 Lumens
Electric Foam Deltawing RC airplane
Переглядів 60513 років тому
This is a white foam airplane that was scratch built using parts from Hobbypartz.com The Motor is a 1360kv and is controlled with an 18amp ESC and uses an 800mah or a 1000mah battery. This plane had 250- 300 flights on it before I retired it. I'm building a new one now with the same dimensions. 36" wide and 18" long. See Also: ua-cam.com/video/E0p89iNpACU/v-deo.html
CDROM Motor as a Generator
Переглядів 12 тис.13 років тому
This video shows a 3 phase brushless motor from a CDROM being used as a generator. This generator could be turned by whatever means you come up with. You could use this on a bicycle to keep a battery charged by interfacing it with one of the tires.
where did you get the trailer? very nice
Where you buy the floor mat… it is pelican …?
It came with the kayak.
Can you share the STL files for the skeg? Looks very slick!
i see this video has been up for a while, but i would love to possibly get the g-code for the rudder mount
Sure. Where can I send them?
A true engineer. Great job on your kayak! Fishing is therapy
my catch 100 is due to arrive tomo. nice job
Love your modifications. You are a craftsman!
That's a nice set up. Very personable when your fishing on a Kayak.
Those wheels are skinny, do you go on the interstate with it?
Anyone know where I can get a 3D printer
This is incredible! Love the innovative 3D printing! Is any of your stuff on Thingiverse?
I have a pelican catch 120 and I put the transducer up under the kayak tucked up tight to the hull and ran it through the scupper hole under the seat. Has worked for 2 years
Hello, I like your mods and you made a great video! I just purchased the same kayak (it is my first one) and I would like to add some mods myself. For now I really would like some lighting and to add a fish finder but I am confused on how all the electrical is wired. Do you have everything wired to one battery or do you use two? One for the fish finder and one for the lights? Could you provide a link to which battery you use? Or if you could do a video on how that is set up that would be awesome! I am also interested in making a skeg, but I do not have a 3D printer. What other material would you recommend to use to build the mount for the risers and the skeg?
Can you post the files you used for the 3d printed parts
Kyrie Evans Yes please! I would purchase a 3D printer just for it!!
8 inch hatch in the back ?
6" www.ebay.com/itm/6-Inch-Hatch-Cover-Pull-out-Deck-Plate-with-Waterproof-Bag-for-Marine-Boat-Kayak/123673413737?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Getting my kayak soon. I too have a 3D printer. Can't wait to make some mods. What software did you use to design your modifications?
sanchez252 I’ve been using Sketchup. Seems to work ok for 3D Printing.
That trailer is crazy. Love the big wheels... no way you are getting stuck in the sand with that. Good video. Gave you a sub.
Thanks
very very nice !!! just say navigation ligths the back legal its 3 ft . It has to be above your head I just say it's legal for the Coast Guard. they can see you.!!!
Good to know.... Thanks!
VERY NICE SET UP !!!
Thanks ! Sure makes it easier.
Not for normal roads nor is it intended for speeds more than 30mph. But around the campground, no tickets or warnings yet :)
Damn is that trailer legal 😂
did i miss you saying the current? how did you calculate the power output? was the current about 380 mA? at which rpm?
0.7 amps X 5V = 3.5watts at max RPM ~ 30000RPM
oh, thanks. i wasn't sure what those numbers at the first seconds of video meant - the values to run the motor, or the output... and i apologize, i **totally** missed the display on the other device (is it a kind of multimeter as well?) - thought it was for decoration only :) I guess, this is the main motor of the CD drive, not the stepper motor, right?
Fucking stupid like the wind is going that fast, bad video try it in the wind give us regular comparison to evaluate
Normally the voltage drop over the rectifier is insignificant when connected to normal generator, but this small brush-less DC motor generates a relatively small a voltage, and the voltage drop across the rectifier becomes a significant portion of the output. You might try building your rectifier from Schottky Diodes, because they have lower forward voltage drop compared to the ordinary silicon diodes. The voltage drop may be somewhere between 0.15 and 0.4 volts at low currents, as compared to the 0.6 volts for a silicon diode. Compounds the problem, for each phase, you have 2 diodes in series conducting at any one one moment, with a doubling in voltage drop over a single diode. Using Schottky diodes, you might bring the output up 50% or more to 5 or so watts at the same rpm.
What would be gear ratio to get that speed while cruising on a bike? or what is your dremel rpms?
+Daniel S Quick numbers to get you close. If the CR ROM rotor part of the motor has a diameter roughly 1 inch, then it has a circumference of 3.141 inches. If traveling 10 miles an hour, that is 10560 inches a minute that when divided by a 3.141 inch circumference amounts to 3361 revolutions per minute. You might try gluing a smaller rotor to the existing rotor to make it spin faster.
Thanks!
anyone thought this video reminded of slenderman lol
These lights are non zoom able
U in full zoom or full flood on these throws
Thanks JIm, I love making the Deltawings and now put the motors in the back. They fly even better. If I'm keeping them close it probably because my grandson is watching. This particular plane has since been retired. I now fly a similar plane that I velcro a Staypro 45G Video camera. After watching the video in the description click on my name to see some other RC video's including a video down-link flight. Thanks for watching.
very nice characteristics. I have over 30 foamies now, many of which are delta wings, some on youtube. its old(er) nerds like us that make this hobby look good... You have a nice huge field. why do you like to fly on top of your house and in the trees??? :)
Nice review. Now is the TrustFire 3800 on batteries. Do you use 2 or 3 18650's?
theres better motors for gennys
I'd like to see the WF-502b w/ XM-L T6 emmitter up against the Trustfire 3T6. I've got an UltraFire C8 XM-L T6 (large hood, good spill, great throw) which I really enjoy, but I'd like to get one with a smaller hear and possibly a belt clip which the UltraFire WF-502b XM-L T6 has so I can clip it on while hiking during the day and it's there w/o carrying it or needing a backpack/fanny pack to carry it in.
I'm pretty sure it has a regulator. The current goes up as the battery voltage depletes. The brightness seems to remain constant.
Does the Trustfire Cree Xm-l T6 (3800 lumens) have an output regulator? In other words well it keep maximum output at all times?
i have 2 wf-502b t6 1000 lumens got them for 14 bucks each and they work very well with panasonic 3100 mah batteries
@sqhschief Thanx!!
@sqhschief Yes you are right!:)
@morominaolenmina More like 2400 lumen.
700-800 lumens in trustfire tr-3t6?? No way,its more brighter!!! Some smart tell me the right number!
The trustfire xml 3t6 throws a huge amount of light but has a a lot of spill. The single T6 1300 lumen has just as bright of spot and as much throw as the 3T6. I think the 3T6 is worth it. The 3T6 draws 3.1 amps on high which translates to about 40 minutes with 2000mah batteries so be sure to get some extra batteries. I would have to say the the actual lumen output of the 3T6 is probably 700-800 lumens. Good Luck with whatever you choose.
Nice! Do you feel this trustfire xml 3t6 light worth getting? Actual run time is how long? some say 1 hour with full power? Cos am looking at this trustfire VS fenix tk35...in delima..
how many REAL lumens is Trustfire 3t6?
@MrMlemon XM-L with zoom? Only to experiment and to add a new flashlight to your collection. Such wide led is not good for throwing, an XP-G R5 or another smaller is better for a zoom model
That's correct. Neither of my XMLs are focusable or have adjustable beam. I would like to get one though.
Great vid man, thanks! So neither of the xm-ls have an adjustable beam?
I'm not sure what motors you are thinking of using. My demonstration is using a brushless motor that has rotating magnets. I think that most squirrel cage fan motors would be AC motors. I think you can somehow run current through the exciter winding and make a generator out of them but I'm not sure how. The DC motors found in treadmills will generate higher voltages with less RPMs and will not need to be rectified. Good luck with your project!
I chose the three heaviest traces on the circuit board that were heading over to the motor. These heavier traces were used for running the motor as a motor. Glad you liked it!
