Wow that's beautiful setup for your amphibious and she's a beauty
It’s actually just straight floats. We raise and lower it on a trailer that is set in tracks.
Avation ist eifach nahe dem Himmel, so schön.
Why didn't you take your mask off before you started filming?
Love it
Keep up the good work, it was my dream to fly as a missions pilot all my life, realising that it was not going to happen I started building a four seat Bearhawk aircraft, and now almost 12 years later it’s almost done. I have been involved with missions and outreaches to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and DRC. Travelling by road can be time consuming in Africa, border post can at times takes hrs to cross, roads are bad and traffic police that harass travellers for extra money can hinder missions. When my aircraft is done it will be able to travel one way for 8 hrs plus or to a destination where there is no fuel for 4-4,5 hr and return. Empty weight and 80 USG of fuel, gives me a usable load is 837 lbs minus the pilot leaves you with more than 600 lbs cargo. This aircraft can land and takeoff from 300 ft strip and can fly at less than 40 mph and cruise at 65% power at 155 mph. Rate of climb is 1500-2000 rpm depending on weight and density altitude. This will be a tool I will use privately without compensation and we will not fly medivacs or packs, there is such a need for missionaries across Africa and the message of the gospel. Training local pastors and getting study material to them. This will be my small contribution toward the huge need out there. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. When I feel overwhelmed with the project and the cost involved I always find new hope after watching one of your videos. God bless you all.
Makes perfect sense as I see at first you aren't wearing a mask, but a few minutes later you have it on. Oh the theatrics, make it stop.
Yeah I hear ya. I guess you can see how I really feel about masks 😷
What type of airplanes are in the hangar next to the 206.? They look tails dragged ? Great video
They are Helio Couriers. An incredible STOL airplane and a ton of fun to fly.....so I’m told anyways, I’ve ridden in one bit I’ve never flown it myself
This is incredible. I stopped by and visited with some of the JAARS representatives today at Sun and Fun; it seems like a great organization to be a part of.
They are an awesome organization Joe, it’s been great to partner with them in what we do, so that’s awesome you got to go see them at Sun and Fun. I’ve never been to sun and fun but I’ve been to Oshkosh many times.
Directional control and keep those feet alive !!!!! Hold it off Hold it off
The music?? Why the stupid music??Ruins the whol deal TOO LOUD, great footage and script...
Rayon how can I get involved in this as a 206 pilot and what are the requirements and do I need
I like the aircraft shots, Inflight shots, subjects covered. Please less arm length walk and talk. Get a selfie stick to make less of your face fill the screen. Its like your standing 1 foot away talking.
Awesome videos Ryan! JAARS seems as though they do things RIGHT! Keep kickin’ but man!
Thanks John. They are a very professional organization and it was awesome to be a part of the training. Looking forward to putting that stuff to practice flying in Peru
turbo 206 the best airplane
#reinierdewit
Could you contact me God has called me to be a missionary in Peru as a church planter and looking into preparing for aviation missions to assist with that please comment back to get you my personal email
Hey Tevin, That is awesome! Contact me via messenger through Facebook. My account is under Ryan Dawson
Nice job young man! Thanks for teaching me about that flap feature on that plane. God bless you. Shalom
real nice video, I knew SAM Pilot Craig G. from high school the last time I saw him was in Tennessee at Moody many years ago a real nice guy I think he is still flying.
Hey, thanks for watching. Craig and Heather are still there flying. He is the program manager for SAMAIR. We can’t wait to get down there to work with them. We’re just waiting for things to open up due to COVID.
@@rydaws09 Craigs father i believe started sam air with a stinson .You will like Craig if you haven't met him he is very outgoing go getter and will help you in any way he can especially with all the experiences he has under his belt.
@@rydaws09 Will you be flying out n the interior or do you ocassionally fly into Lima?Lima is almost always IMC.they say its because of the humbolt current cold waters of the pacific and the high andys mountains not allowing the rain to make it over.Covid has taken its toll there.
We have met Craig and the whole team there. They all seem like a great group of people and we’re very excited to one day be a part of the team. All of our flying is in interior and to my knowledge we don’t fly to Lima at all. Have you been to the SAMAIR base there in Pucallpa?
@@rydaws09 No I Haven't have only been to Lima many times and the south of Peru once pre-covid. That is great that you have met the team there. I look forward to seeing your videos from Peru. I
loving the content! post more!
Thanks... working on a couple more videos. Hopefully I’ll get them up soon
Great video Ryan! What video editing software do you use?
I’m using Final Cut Pro now. Just really scratching the surface with it, it’s a very capable software once you get the hang of it
"Intrenational"?
😎 We call it that because we do a lot of training for pilots going all over the world
@@rydaws09 you missed my point, it is misspelled, "international", in big letters even.
😂 I did not notice. Let’s hope nobody else does
@@rydaws09 too late... but, all my favorite airports are "intrenational"! By the way... I like how complementary Mike B. is! He's right... you are doing great work! Keep it up and then come fly with me in Africa some time!
Awesome video as usual, thanks for documenting your training, it’s super fun to watch!
Thanks so much and glad you like the videos. It’s been fun putting them together.
Great flying bud! Loved that landing right in the middle of the box at Brown. Way to go, keep up the good work. I’m loving the videos
Thanks Marcos! Brown was lots of fun and great practice getting to solo in there. I had an awesome time
Thanks ( i am french)
Thanks Victor
Great flying, Ryan! I haven’t even gotten to use that crossing runway yet. It was being finished when I was there for orientation. Looking forward to getting to know it during recurrency training.
Yeah it’s a lot of fun Marcos! It’s 1400’ long with about 7% slope up so it’s a lot of fun. Really demonstrates how capable the 206 is with the Robertson
Great work. Love the 206 videos. What are those black handles above the windows ? I’ve never seen that mod before.
I’m glad you like the videos! Those are the inertia reel locks for the seatbelts. It allows you to lock your seatbelts if you want to
Awesome flying for The King!
Thanks 👍
Very cool! Nice edit. I work IT at JAARS. Good luck with your training! You’ve got some fantastic instructors!
Thanks! The training has been top notch and I’ve really enjoyed it so far!
Hey Ryan! Great video and please do keep us posted and updated. Praying for you and the family as you get into training. Blue skies!! J&P
Thanks Joey and will do!
Just watched 282PH leave Coshocton this week!
Bryan, thanks for subscribing. We need to connect soon!
Ryan Dawson agreed! Keep pumping out the videos, am really enjoying seeing JAARS operations.
Thanks Bryan. I remember when I was at Moody, I would watch any mission aviation video I could find but unfortunately there weren’t that many. So at least now there will be a couple more videos in the mission aviation category 🙂 Thanks for watching
That is so cool
When you film Dad it is so funny
Great job
