Love this interview, so glad to hear Mark's voice and insights
Great to hear. Please do us a favor and share :)
Little known is that the band left Scarpulla on the road. I think if you get it, you get that Emilio works hard to stay eternally positive to keep morale up. That said, I also get it that it's not a good idea to cross him. On a different note, there's a few instrumental songs on the TOP record that are Funky Smooth. Love that album and the Tommy Bowes era. JT the best guitarist the band has had IMO. Great interview. Thank you.
I’d like to know what kind of case he travels with and what other precautions he takes while on the road.
Thanks! Very insightful interview! Greg is a great player and tutor
Donna, Thanks so much for this great interview! Did Denis give you the ireal book tips to share with us like he said? Thanks again.
Thanks for the reminder - I'll add them to the blog on our website
Expert on tenor and alto
Lots of interesting thoughts here, plus more than a few laughs. Enjoyed this a lot!
Glad to hear it! Please share Warrick :)
Denis is a unique legend of the bari sax. Anyone who hasn't watched his mind blowing Salt Peanuts sax and scat solo here on UA-cam should do it!
On the audio version of this episode, I shared that version - it's crazy good!
But does it have bite control on the mouthpiece. I doubt it.
Steve is a great guy and has a true passion for perfection.
This is a great interview.!!
Donna you're amazing!! What an honor to be on your show. Thank you ❤
It was so great meeting you - lots of fun chatting before and after the show. And myself students love your version of Cold Duck Time! I hope to be able to do the next Sax Girls Rock show 😊
@@EverythingSaxophonePodcast Me too!!!
Hi Donna, Great podcast as always. Will tell my Granddaughter to watch for encouragement. She is 10 yrs old and started playing the alto saxophone like her Grandpaw ( 😊 🎷)
Wonderful! And thanks for your support :)
I like my reedjuvinate, but the Listerine dries and chaps my lips pretty badly. Has anyone had luck with hydrogen peroxide or vodka?
I wouldn't use Hydrogen Peroxide in Reedjuvinate. Some people have used vodka, but I can see that burning and also drying out your lip. Maybe just give the reed a quick rinse of water before playing...
Same here. Trying to move along. Inspiring to see this is possible
Loved this! Thank you so much!
Thank you. The Soprano sounds beautiful! Thomas sounds great on alto as well. Brilliant. Wish I was at your show! God bless you all. Bill. Uk 🎷🎷🎷
Great video. I started playing clarinet in the 50s moving on to play other woodwinds and becoming a performer and teacher. I have spent a lifetime anti synthetic reeds , however a couple of years ago I switched to Legere and have been playing Smerican cut on saxophones and European cut on clarinets Recently I have just started playing the new French cut which is exactly as you described, about 0.25 softer. It feels to me a little narrower and feels more like the ‘normal French cane Reed’. God bless you both. Bill. Uk 🎷🎷🎷
Just from listening to this interview, I'm a better musician! Mind-blowing practice philosophy, and mind-set tips.
Thanks for your honesty! I almost bought it because of its similarity to 🎷
Is that the forest green?
No - black
This exchange of experiences between the two colleagues is both enjoyable as well as insightful. 🎶
This dialogue is remarkable in all respects, thanks for that🥰
Thank you for introducing us to Jeppe's music. I LOVE his album!!! He does a great job of going old school, with a modern sound. I have this album on repeat....
Nice Interview
Thank you,Donna!!! Especialy you're right about planes!!! They will not see it ,until it"s too LATE!!!! Great! I gonna buy one!
Better sax tenor🤔……nice😊 Jody is amazing
Great interview. Very inspirational. I got a little emotional. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one
Looking good, Sandro!
I am sure enjoying your NAMM 2024 podcasts!
Thank you! Please do us a favor and share the videos :)
Michael lowenstern is my favorite bass clarinet and composer in Brooklyn and I want to see him in concert in new york city this year!
Thank you sir!
Yes doubling is a must. It made me a ton of money which I saved and financed my jazz career with. I am now 78 and only play jazz. And one of my tenors is a P.Mauriat 66RUL. Jeremiah is giving words of wisdom and truth about practicing. Listen up if you are young and aspiring because truth is being spoken here!
Thanks Bob :)
I wish the company well, because I love their old pieces. I hope the new ones have that magic.
thanks for your casts donna....ive watched them all..
Thanks for listening, and please do us a favor and share all over social media :)
Mike sounds great! Authentic, old school, beautiful!

Very enjoyable podcast. A lot of takeaway goodies in there.
interesting conversation with helpful hints, thank you 👋
Thank you Donna, I enjoyed hearing from Susanne Alt. I learned a lot!
Donna Schwartz‘ s interview concept combines depth and entertainment. It is inspiring to listen to two professional women who delve deeply into the subject matter, where the listener gains insights into Susanne Alt‘ s musical work and receives valuable tips and suggestions. A captivating story is Susanne‘ story how she found out her own path into jazz, especially with her familiy background… Successful podcast episode🎶🎷🫶🌹🌹
Much appreciated - thank you so much 😊 👍🏻
WHERE CAN YOU PURCHASE AN EMEO SAXOPHONE IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ?
Only available on their website
"No secrets, just practice" is a great quote!
Dental materials? Probably Ultem (semi-transparent high strength plastic material that can operate in high service temperature environments). I have a Bari mpc from Arnold Montgomery made from it.
Great guy , musician , friend
Interesting. I have a super jet alto 10 with the “Superjet” on the table and a 7 with superjet on the side. I wonder why?
Energy Wave??!! Just like a 2 stroke dirt bike exhaust pipe Right on!!!!!
Hey Sandro, finally saw you on the tube at namm. Good job
That's great but how do they play?
I stopped using my Mark VI after I bought a TJ. Watch the videos only YT channel to see
