How do I start working in welding? I got basic welding and a level 1 certificate. I can do vertical, flat and over head. Can I put in applications yet?
Yes definitely put in your application while continuing building your criteria’s ..
I wanted to see you work why’d u cut it off 😭
Welding in the snow is cool
how do i get started in welding when i know nothing about it
Buy a cheap welder stick preferably you can get a metal man 110 for about $100 a 5 pound pack of rods 20 bucks or more. Welding hood and gloves around 50 bucks together and metal scrap metal would be better just use a grinder cut off the pieces you want to weld. start flat welding first then move to horizontal or overhead or something. Buy a grinder you can buy a small cheap one at harbor freight for like $15 grinder disks vary from 10-20 bucks for a small pack or so.
An addition to the other guys comment is watch UA-cam videos there's plenty of helpful information on here about it. It's a lot easier than you think to start learning just stay calm and watch what your doing if something looks wrong find a way to fix it.
Practice makes perfect what I say . If you have access too . Do it yourself projects and practice are the best in your quality time . Build a set up for working with a stick welder . Basic tools and training. Start burning that metal until your gloves or booth catch fire 🔥. Just keep on it for a few until you grasped enough knowledge to move forward on too certifications.
The arc mark on the threads😂😂😂 need to make all the threads look brand new with the buffer now😂
Can you do it ?

Start learning the basics of welding. Getting into apprenticeships.
What are the requirement to be able to work in the structural field like this
Take a welding course. Try to master stick welding it is the most demanded for thicker metals. Study (Dual shield fluxcore) for welding at shipyards. Good luck.
Take a welding course or start off as an internship or trainer from there you can process to learn a much skills as you can in the field of welding and fabricating
@@robertblackshear8963 i know how to srick weld, mig and flux core weld but I really dont know how to get into these jobs I work in a manufacturing company and I want to move on to structural. Do you by any chance know what the requierements would be for them
@@lowsociety8621 Yes you Have to acquire An American Welding Society CERTIFICATION. Then you will need the necessary OSHA Safety training. From there you can acquire as much liscense and certificate as you can pertaining to your field of work and learn as much as you can.
