It's a pleasure. Lol, that is some next level training that I don't have right now. Generally when issuing cards, we use the applications/applets supplied by the schemes which takes care of the cryptogram generation without us having to test it. I have made a note of your comment and if I ever get time after I finish this training series, maybe I will do it (no promises, lol). I can see how that could be fun!!! :-)

hey bro, I don't have the slides available for distribution yet. I will convert them to pdf's at some point and watermark them for legal purposes before I make them available. But only after I have completed uploading the videos for this series.

Hey John. A Chip Card cannot be cloned unless the fraudster somehow has access to all of the secret keys and crypto elements that are used to protect the card. The chip card readers available in the market can only view the parameters stored on the card, but have no way to access the PIN and crypto elements stored securely on the card's Secure Element. I haven't had the chance to upload more videos in a long while but I hope to recommence with this soon. The later videos where we look at what goes onto the card, and how transactions are performed, will provide additional clarity around this. If we are talking about Magstripe Cards, then yes, these can definitely be cloned and the implementation of EMV was as a direct response to the ease of which magstripe cards may be cloned.
