EUC camping with an EV the Cybertruck
I had a great time in Colorado riding my EUC on the Jeep Trails, and in a SK8 park, and on a bmx flow track. I drove out in my new Cybertruck which works exceptionally with the EUC.

My OEM Lynx street tire was completely bald after 1900miles, so I installed the Shinko 244 on my Lynx EUC. I did a tubeless installation. I used a ratcheting crank strap around the ourside of the tire, and my buddies air compressor to set the bead. The tire feels great on the road and on the trail. I can lean hard into turns with confidence. The tire feels really solid after breaking it in for ...
EUC Grizzla Flow Pad Lights on a Veteran Lynx

I added the Grizzla Lights to my Grizzla large Flow Pads. These lights are durable, they have already been knocked off in a crash and re installed. I like the look of my Lynx with these lights. These lights are aimable, you can point the front lights up or down. Even while riding I can adjust the aim of the lights. The lights are USB C rechargeable.
EUC Ride up Mt Capulin New Mexico after hours on Veteran Lynx

Several months ago I asked the ranger at Capulin Volcano about riding up. The ranger told me that I needed to wait until after 4pm when the gates close. It was only 11AM at the time and I had places to be, but today I was in the right place at the right time, so I did a ride up the volcano on my Leaperkim Veteran Lynx EUC.

EUC Electric Unicycle Stand by EUC Army review

The EUC Electric Unicycle Stand by EUC Army is a small quick inexpensive stand for an electric unicycle. The stand is stable and it is easy to load my Veteran Lynx, or Leaperkim Patton on to the stand. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver to assemble the stand. I think my Veteran Lynx looks good on the EUC Army stand.

We’re living vicariously through you 😮 cyber truck is probably my next vehicle. Is it easy to park in the garage to charge? Right now I’ve got a model 3
My garage is full of tools and toys. I have just been charging the Cybertruck with a 120v extension cord and the rapid charger. 120v has been enough for my daily driving around town.
Beautiful views!!
Sweet setup Chucky, that's so cool how your Cybertruck can do so many things, what a great design of an electric car!!
Nice video, Chucky!!! I absolutely love your Cyber Truck!!! I can't wait to get home from work and show this video to my mom
Are youchanging in 10,000 mile intervals?
I am currently changing is 10,000 mile intervals. Merc recommends 20,000. Do you think I need to change more often?
I seen a video where they had the valve covers off and there was bad sludge build up. I'm gona change mine at 5000. It just seems like alot of miles on that oil.
@@jeffpyle6353 Sounds like a good plan. I got my van used with 10,000 miles and changed the oil immediately. It now has 13,500 and changing at 15,000 sounds like a good idea.

so even though the tire is not rated to be tubeless you are having no issues running it tubeless? I just ordered one and I love that idea. Also yes, any tubeless tire is going to require more frequent checks of the pressure. Tires with tubes are pretty stable but tubeless tires I always check before each and every ride.
I do add 3psi 2x a week with the tubeless installation, but the 244 feels great both on the streets and off road. There is some peace of mind knowing that I can plug the tire if it is punctured without taking the tire off the rim.
@@charleskieser9740 super cool to hear that is working good for you. Someone else in the EUC community just warned me that that tire bead is not rated for tubeless operation and that it was my risk if I wanted to try it. Are you running sealant inside your tire now that you have gone tubeless?
@@boblatkey7160 I am not running any sealant just the 244. A side note, I helped my friend RockinEUC change from the stock knobby tire to a 244 on his Veteran Lynx. He did not have a tubeless valve stem so we just did a tube installation. We still had to break the bead on his stock Lynx tubed knobby to do the tire swap. I have done numerous Patton tire swaps and we never had to break a bead with any of those tire swaps. Something about the Lynx rim wants to set a bead.
@@charleskieser9740 got it! Thanks for sharing knowledge! ❤️
what valve stem did you use? for the tubeless conversion?
I originally had the street tubeless tire, so I did not have to convert. The stock Leaperkim tubeless valve stem also has a metal dust cap. 😀
I just installed this today. The only issue I ran into was the driver's side nut at the forward U-Bolt was off-center. This made it a bit challenging to fit a socket into the hole and onto the nut to tighten it up. It eventually worked, but was somewhat of a pain. My forward U-Bolt is also angled, as you show at 1:09 in the video. I'm guessing it's not a big deal but I'll check it in time to make sure it hasn't slipped or loosened up enough to interfere with the flange. I have a 24 AWD. Cheers!
Best wishes with your van
Good recommendation brotha, happy you're liking your tire, can't wait to try it out!!
Can i ask you, what's the advantage of tubeless? Im with 244 but with inner tube. Can you ride tubeless with 19-26 PSI if necessary? I have similar valves on order, but I'm wondering... Some times i need to go with low pressure
I have had the 244 tubeless as low as 20psi. The advantage is less spinning mass = crisper acceleration.
Also, repairing the tire when punctured on the trail is way easier with a tubeless tire, you can just carry a lightweight plug kit, and the smallest air pump you can find. With a tube, you have to remove the tire to patch the tube.
I run the 244 tubed and it's been great, holds air well. But if I had a large compressor I probably would have gone tubeless.
whats the top speed that YOU have reached on the thing
The low 50s is as far as I have pushed it, but I have hit 50 on a rural sidewalk.
this is how euc videos should be, post more

Nice vid ! I’ve my Sherman s but I was thinking to upgrade and buy the lynx, do you think it worth it ? Do you fell stable in high speeds ?
The Lynx is quite stable, way more stable than my Patton which is what I have to compare it too. The suspension is better than the patton too.
I got these lights a long time ago. They eventually started falling out of the socket and I actually lost 2 that way. They don't seem to last a long time. The most annoying part was having to press 9 different buttons to turn on all of my lights (4 front + 4 rear + wheel light). It was so annoying, especially with gloves on. Even when I only did 2 front + 2 back I still had to press many buttons. Not very practical especially if you're commuting daily. I wish u could sync the lights to turn on all at once with 1 button, or be motion activated
Thanks for sharing this. Can I ask what size tire you are running?
I am on 275-75-16's which I understand is the largest size you can run without having to reprogram the vans bios. There are bios reprogramming chips that simply plug into the OBD2 port if you want to run bigger tires, I think it is $500-1000 for the reprogramming modules.
Nice educational video Chuck!
Thanks Dan, Since I released this video I have travled over 5000 miles on electric unicycles.
Great lights. I love them. I have 2 up front and 2 in the back of my veteran Sherman. Check it out. I ordered the other pair right after I saw how nice they make my wheel look. I will Do an unboxing video when it gets here because I notice they don’t have any videos on UA-cam about them. Thanks for this man. I hope your subscribed to my channel like I am yours. Ride safe
U selling those erides patton pedals? I need some lol
One of the best looking Lynx' out there!
Thanks Man, it is a continuous work in both progress and motion.
Your tire is bald bro
Yep my tire is quite bald, 1800 miles on the Lynx since it arrived the day after Christmas. I have a new Skinko ready to go on, so look for a Lynx tire change video soon.
They’re racing slicks now
How are the lights tightened?
The lights pop into the slots that the reflectors came out of. The light mount is 2 piece, and the 2 pieces clamp down on the little tabs inside the reflector opening. I have crashed, and the lights do pop out, and did not shatter when I went down, and I was able to reinstall them.

Thank youuuu! Unsolicited recommendation: smart liner floor mats for the cab area.
P.s. have you noticed rust beginning to accumulate on your turbo body area? At the end of the ducts, near the back of the engine bay, on the left side of the engine bay?
Really nice setup!!!! I took off my front SN stickers and put them onto the built card next to the matching ones. Cleans up the look IMHO. Great job.
I guess i am just too proud of the 50s batteries to pull the stickers off.
Very nice set up!
I just added the Grizzla Lights to my pads. They look very sharp on the Lynx.
Hi, They are the big pads.
Is it the grizzla pad flow compact or big ? Thanks.
BIG
I just ordered my lynx yesterday and it should be here tomorrow. I am in Los Angeles area, so they have one in Los Angeles area ..I am so excited.
I think you are going to love the Lynx. I have 1700+ miles on mine.
I'm still before my 50, but good to see that still many years with EUCs will be possible :) Regards! PS. I have Patton and Lynx now, really good pair of wheels :) see also my videos from them.
I will check out your vids, the Lynx is an a Amazing ride, we are lucky to have them.
Nice. You got my dream wheel. I have the Veteran Sherman OG. Thanks for the video. I subscribed. Ride safe man
Strategically, that would be a death trap if you were found holed up down there with no way out, just like they died in the final scene. Plus, how did you get horses down there and where would you graze them, corral them? If a posses located them up on top you'd have even less chance of escape.
Could someone explain the purpose of the stand with an EUC that have a kickstand?! Thanks
The stand makes the EUC take less floorspace than if it were on its kickstand. The charging port on the Lynx is also on the back side, and hard to access when on the kickstand, but quite easy and convienent to access on the EUC Army stand.
👍
my dad is in his late 50's he just had surgery right when I got my EUC kinda sad because he actually rode a unicycle around back in the late 90's and he was excited when I told him about it. alot of guys in their 40+ always say, "man I wish they had that when I was a kid". why let that stop you! welcome to the lifestyle.
Hopefully when your Dad recovers he can ride EUC. I have advanced to 30+ step stair drops, and BMX pump tracks on the EUC since this video was made. I also am closing in on 5000 miles of EUC experience in 9 months of riding.
@@charleskieser97405k in 9 months! That's incredible
I'm lowering my pedals because after 600 miles I got a speed wobble that almost wiped me out. I guess it was my fault but I still don't know how I caused it. My tire pressure was maybe a little bit high. I have been reading that other people have had Speed wobble crashes on their lynx. Mine came on strong and fast and was super violent. Check out Chooch's recent video where he crashed on the Lynx from a speed wobble. It was almost identical to what happened to me. I also removed that kickstand because I think it's dangerous in a crash, and the wheel looks so much better with it removed. I almost crashed going down a steep bankment at low speed as the kickstand caught on the back. I really like what you did yours! It looks great. Have fun!
Good points!
Ive heard that speed wobbles on the lynx are mostly because the rider needs to get used to the weight placement of the wheel.
Im 41 years OLd and i feel Im to OLd for EUC when i Fall in my Butt
I fell many times learning to EUC, but I was geared up and started on grass. I also am a snowboarder and a OneWheel rider so I am used to hitting the ground on a regular basis. In fact, once you learn EUC, there are far fewer trips to the ground vs the OneWheel. Good gear is highly recomended, do not go cheap on the wrist guards.
@charleskieser9740 I'm also did all ( SnowBoard, BodyBoard, Onewheel, Rollerblade) But I Hit my Hips and Head while I'm Riding the Onewheel ( Board Error) the Board Stop By it self and Almost land me to E.R. Luckily I have my Helmet on and Pads and Wrist Guard. My hip is OK now, but I remember during that incident I wish I have a Hip Pad.
@@norbelsemaj3870 I really gear up for a ride, I do padded shorts, and I put fanny packs all around my hips. I started the fanny packs around the hips after a OneWheel fall with full gear, but still winding up with road rash on a hip.
you know that if you fall you will hurt yourself...?
I like remaning in hit ready status.
@@charleskieser9740 you know that your injuries without consequences at 30 will prevent you at 50 from doing what others can do. There is no magic. They are there and will not disappear, on the contrary they will appear
Do you think the upgrade from Patton to Lynx is worth it?
Depends on your situation. For commuting? Unlikely. For jumps and racing or performance intensive activities. Absolutely. Only commuting benefits I see are the speed increase, range, increase and fact that it’s the same weight for those upgrades so it will feel / handle similarly. I would personally wait till leaperkins next wheel before I bought it.
The Lynx is now my ride of choice, the increase in stability over the Patton is the main reason why.
Nice view😊!
Thanks, I like the new selfie camera.
Do these use a crush washer!?
I did not see a crush washer. The oil filter had a rubber washer to seal it.
was the rubber washer attached to the drain plug or did you have to change it out? thanks@@charleskieser9740
What a view!! I'm glad you're having fun out there! What an exciting place to ride! What happened with your jump block??
The jump block thing was not as bad as I originally thought. The red part had just popped off the black mount. I was able to re-attach it. Eventually I might need to glue it to the mount, but It may have just come off due to lifting the Lynx over the closed gate at the bottom of the road.
Very Cool Chuck!
Thanks Dan
What MPG do you get?
I am on my first road trip, and driving 80mph with gusty winds I was getting 16-17 mpg.
@@charleskieser9740 thank you man!
i cant wait for mine to come in! ill have a VERY similar configiraton as yours!! is youres tubeless?
Hi, yes I currently have a tubeless street tire on the lynx, but I have about worn the treads down, and I have a Shinko 241 to replace it. I think I will have to go with a tube when I install the Shinko.
That's the coolest Lynx I've seen, that's for sure!!! Love the red pads matching the jump blocks! Let me know how you like the grizzlas!
