riga in 48 hours: a stunning winter escape to latvia’s capital 🇱🇻
👉 also check out what 48 hours in tallinn, estonia and what the big differences are: ua-cam.com/video/E7DVmooqgKY/v-deo.htmlsi=VNAds22kHgbbQ7T1
spend two days with us exploring riga, the stunning capital of latvia! whether you’re into history, architecture, cozy cafés, or unique cultural vibes, riga has something special to offer. we arrived early from tallinn, and our trip kicked off with an interesting (and slightly shocking) first interaction-a racist bolt driver who gave us an unexpected welcome! 🙃 don’t worry, the city definitely redeemed itself.
here’s what we did:
- started the day with amazing coffee and pastries at kalve espresso room, one of riga’s best cafés.
- explored the beautiful nativity of christ cathedral, a stunning piece of orthodox architecture.
- stopped by the freedom monument, a symbol of latvia’s independence.
- admired the incredible art nouveau architecture on alberta street-seriously, this street is a dream for architecture lovers.
- had a medieval feast at rozengrals, where it felt like stepping into the 1400s with great food and a cozy vibe.
- wandered through the massive riga central market, one of europe’s largest markets and perfect for trying local food.
- visited the iconic house of the black heads, a must-see in riga’s old town with fascinating history and beautiful interiors.
- ended the day with amazing views from the national library of latvia, also called the “castle of light.”
we also explored some cute cafés like crumble cake and rocket bean, walked by the famous three brothers houses, and tried traditional latvian food at lido, an ikea-style buffet restaurant (definitely an experience!). oh, and the snowy streets and cozy lights in january made everything feel super magical.
if you’re planning a trip to riga or just curious about this baltic gem, this video is for you! let me know in the comments if you have any questions or need travel tips.

Have You overlooked German Hanseatic cities along the coast of the baltic sea? You do not have to travel that far to see similar, of course no orthodox churches can be found here. and of course no NAZI advertising / products in shops (officially forbidden for a good reason).

It is forbidden in Est as well. Kinda want to know where it was specifically so I could report it. I think I also saw some Soviet memorabilia there, saw a picture of Stalin. If they had like swastika or the Soviet flag, they should be reported.

There is actually a lot more "wild" (i.e. not gardens) nature than you might expect. You have to go outside downtown to experience that though. It's understandable that tourists who only stay for a few days don't do that. If you stay a bit longer, you can always visit Bukit Timah Nature Reserve for example.

SPH ( Singapore Press Holdings ) put satellites in orbit so that media offenders can use them to see through walls of any building in Singapore, and they can electromagnetically zap the bodily functions of anybody anywhere. These electromagnetic radiation can trigger all reactions in the body, including disease symptoms and pain, and the offenders are using these satellites to torture me and keep me under constant surveillance to play their "white teeth", "use the hands" game. Please help me. Please call on the government to take action on the media offenders' illegal use of satellites and stop their criminal oppression and torture.

Next time you come you can easily do a WW2 tour at Bukit Chandu where the Malay Regiment made their last stand and then go to Changi War Museum and find out how life was like for the POWS..while you are doing this trail you can also eat at the local spots that these places are located. If you incorporate such activities you easily stay for a week..

this is a warning from Singapore, an openly misandryist authoritarian state! here only male citizens and offenders are subjected to forced conscription and caning! fight forced conscription and caning of men as this is a blatant human rights violation and misandry! The human, civil and workers rights record is abysmal, and the state media was once ranked as lowly as 160th and there is no criticism of the establishment allowed to be published/broadcasted!

Most people thought that since Sg is such a small place, just 1 to 2 days are enough to tour Sg. Surprising you can't. Perhaps, 1 week will be a good guide. It is a multi-racial country, thus it has so much to offer just in culture, food and architecture etc. Just the Changi airport takes a day to really enjoy it.
