    Enlightening as always, thank you, breather. Interested in your opinion on these thoughts: Some basis for understanding of flow & group flow states being shared with breathers in these settings is important. Especially when it comes to the transient hypofrontality piece & the energetics of shared emotion/ experience. Some may succumb to the environment & be imbued with the experiences around them. Others may feel a resistance based on the novelty of the felt experience & surroundings. By providing an intellectual understanding of the felt experience of a flow state from the outset, breathers are empowered to orient themselves in the setting & set personal intentions that allow them to better leverage the experience & parse individual from shared experience. Keep shining that light, it's changing the world 🌎 ✨️

    You say that sleep apnea is more severe but that depends on what metric you are looking at. Yes sleep apnea comes with the oxygen desats which are detrimental to the brain and heart. However UARS is often linked with a higher number of arousals meaning even lower sleep quality than the average sleep apnea sufferer.

    Thanks for daring to debunk someone at the height of his popularity. Gary tells an interesting story, shares alot of free stuff and his thinking is certainly food for thought. But my alert alarm gets triggered when I start thinking I must get that once in a lifetime genetic test for 600 dollars, followed by the 10x supplements, and maybe get on the bandwagon and join the 10x affiliate program. Instead of the genetic test I can make an educated stab at "what if?" and defuse potential dangers by cleaning up my diet. All the information sounds like it makes alot of sense, until the "pay here" sign appears. Gary has also reviewed his thinking and standpoints on different topics, including keto and fasting, which makes me think, how long before he changes his mind on the genetic test and comes up with the advice "oh no, you need to take the test again?". I am still open to his teachings, but also very wary about what is being offered.

    • @PerformanceThroughHealth
      @PerformanceThroughHealth 3 місяці тому

      Thank you. To be honest, I hesitated to debunk Brecka for a few months due to pushback and the fear of abuse I would receive on here. However, after speaking to a few people about it, they said that if I truly believe he's sharing potentially harmful disinformation, then it's a duty to correct it. I did undergo a genetic test (from a different company) and found that all the things it mentioned, similar to what Gary talks about, were absolutely fine. So, I do believe that if people simply focus on eating well, exercising regularly, managing stress, and getting enough sleep, there's no need for supplements. I view Biohacking as an industry that preys on those with health anxiety, and Brecka is currently the face of that. Some of the sound advice is as generic as what most popular health influencers discuss, but the ones he promotes the most (often with poor science) are the ones he has products to sell. He's a bit of a snake oil businessman who peddles fool's gold that sounds like science.

    A $5 O2 sensor the plugs over the finger can easily show the O2 percentage in your blood and more than 97% is the standard as I understand it. How does that relate to what Bracka is saying about respiration. It seems that one can measure their O2 level and be done with it. Also buddhist training generally teaches breathing by using the diaphram to control breath.

    thank you for calling out this fraud. It amazes me that he is so popular, As someone who works in the wellness sector [for 25+ years, have a PhD, various professional trainings spanning multiple subjects] people like him give the sector a bad name, which impacts all of us who are simply trying to help people to live better lives. Found your channel due to this video so I will look around at your other things. thank you

      on my research on this man, I learned he is good friends with Grant Cordone - a major online influencer. Some people may love him but he is dubious in my opinion. you may also want to google 'Gary Brecka arrest' which was something else I stumbled upon

      @@PerformanceThroughHealth Ha! I almost didn't post the comment because I didn't want to deal with negative comments 😅 I am British too, so maybe it's something to do with that? Anyway, I've subbed to your channel - keen to watch your breathwork videos in particular, as this is one of my passions and I want to understand the underlying science.
