Make A Cherry Manhattan With Homemade Smoked Cherry Bounce Liqueur!
We love making homemade cordials! Our Cherry Bounce liqueur was made with fresh Michigan cherries we bought in Petoskey, Michigan, over the summer. Patience is a virtue with this recipe. The longer you let the cherries infuse, the smoother the result. You will find the Cherry Bounce Manhattan recipe at the end of the video, and it is also listed below.

When most people think of using fresh cherries in a recipe, most likely, they’re imagining a wonderful, sweet dessert. Well, not Victoria! Cherry pie was the furthest thought from her mind. Instead, she incorporated Michigan sweet cherries into a delicious onion jam and put that on a burger. Did Victoria’s wacky idea create a great burger? Or, was the burger one she and Rich would never make ag...

Do you hate beets? Rich does and has traced his long-running distaste for them back to his childhood. Victoria has always loved beets and hoped to someday make beets in a way that Rich would actually like to eat them. Continuing our quest to experience regional food specialties, we set out for the Olive Burger Festival in Lansing to answer the question: “Do olives belong on a burger?” Rich had the tough job of sampling the burgers (poor guy), and then we can back to Howie and made our own, gluten and dairy-free, so Victoria could have one too. Was this the best burger ...

    Grind pork butt, add spices, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, cloves garlic, salt & pepper, dry red wine, add red pepper flakes to taste. Bring wine to boil, with spices for a few min. let wine get cold, strain, add 1/2 of wine to pork, and knead it all in, then the other 1/2 wine and knead it in, refrig for 24 hr. Then your good to go!

      Fresh tortillas will work wonderfully. You can wrap them in foil and heat them in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes or until they warm through, or you can heat them in a skillet on the stove in foil until they heat through.

    Surprised that you don’t mention the type of gf flour being used, you just mention brand, other than your “winner”, at the end, almost as an afterthought. I came to your video asking what type of gf pasta is best to use in different recipes. Not which brand, which gf flour. Each brand, for the most part, have several different types of pasta, using several different types of gf flour. Seems you missed the point, at least for me.

    • @gfexplorers
      @gfexplorers Місяць тому

      There is no "perfect" flour blend for GF pasta, in my opinion. I have had 100% corn, for example, from multiple brands, and one is better than the other. It's the technique or process the manufacturer uses that determines how good, or bad the pasta is, more than the flours used, in my experience. Since I did the video, I have sampled numerous imported Italian brands of pasta and I feel they are all superior to Ronzoni, or Barilla for many dishes. This video was very narrow in focus. Cold GF pasta is typically problematic and I wanted to find one that was not. And I did. I have not tried the imported Italian pasta's for macaroni salad yet, but will this summer.

      @@theancientsancients1769 I was referring to this dish, tacos, being a dinner staple in the 70s, the first time I had them when I was a child. As was hamburger helper, tuna helper, la choy chow mein from a can, corned beef and hash in a can, sloppy joes, beef stew in a can, TV dinners, and slew of other meals our parents fed us when we were kids. I sincerely doubt the people who raised me gave a single thought to the origin of anything they prepared. At the end of the video you said you had a pizza mix you sell but I couldn’t find it anywhere on your website. Where can I get it please….

      We don't sell the mixes anymore, sorry!! The mix was all the dry ingredients you find in this recipe.

    Can I substitute whole eggs for egg whites @ the same proportions? Would that be something that would screw up your recipe?

      I have never done that so I can't say what it will do. From a protein content perspective, it would work. From a flavor and texture perspective, not sure. If you do replace the egg whites with whole egg, please let me know how it turned out. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
