much easier to do it this way - To disable alarms: stop engine, open door, press and hold autolock button (bottom right hand side in centre). Hold down till you hear locks click a second time. Then get out and close door.

Hi. I’m new to your page. But it’s been fantastic. I’ve picked up how to do most things in want with the multi media system in my 2024 Renault Austral. However there is just a couple of really minor issues that are disproportionally driving me mad. Can you help me with them. I don’t find Renault support helpful at all. Incidentally I have an iPhone. The 3 things are; 1. How do I get google maps on the car to stay in permanent Dark mode. 2. Can you turn of the bleep you get when you exceed the speed limit marker/ speed limit changes. I know you can turn off the whole thing. But I just want to turn this beep off. 3. In the apps screen. I have gaps with no apps in them. Is it possible to rearrange the position of the apps on the screen. Thanks. I realise these are very specific issues. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tested whether you can sideload APKs with any of the alternative file managers (e.g. Google's "Files" app) that you've installed? There's a good chance that adding 3rd party file manager apps won't help since app installation privilege is most likely restricted to a specific android package ID (like "com.android.documentsui") and signing key and only the "factory" Files app is on this "whitelist". Even if for some reason your current OS version doesn't contain such a restriction (which is possible, but would be odd), after the update to the new OS version it might be restricted.

Files app is showing on the android system in the settings, but there is no 'files' app on the app section. Is there any other way to browse the usb files if i can't get the 'files' app to show up?

This was perfect and sorted out my connection, the car wasxexpecting an orange account and the hot-spot selection was outward to devices, not tethering my phone for an inward connection. I hadn't noticed the arrow before but now all is well, Thank you!

Thank you for the video! A little trouble here, Any app i sideload lets me install but does not work while driving (the message saying not allowed while driving pops and the app closes). So spotify, waze, google maps with no android car phone connection does not work.. Any idea what to do?

On the Mégane it normally bleeps to say alarm is off doing it this way how do you know it is deactivated.
