So for the rear bags, you only bolted the top of the airbags to the car... If you didnt do the bottom, when its lower than normal and you go over a bump, how comes it doesnt fall off the axle at the bottom?
@@beaniepud just think of it this way your springs don't bolt in at all. It's the socks that hold both in place.
@@AndrewOgilvie1ahh so basically as long as it's not fully deflated (which you wouldn't drive with anyway) the pressure holds it against the axle like springs? Wonder if it would fall off if it was fully deflated 😂
@beaniepud i ran the same setup in my old showcase for about 4/5 years, and it never happened. It wouldn't be able to fall out because of the one bolt. That bolt would have to break for it to fall out
@@AndrewOgilvie1 ahh fair enough thanks mate Last question, there's obviously a gauge to regulate the pressure in the tank etc, but how do you make sure you don't over inflate the bags themselves when you fully extend them, or do they just stop filling when they're fully up (assuming the tank isn't overpressured that is)? And what sort of pressure do you put in your tank?
@@AndrewOgilvie1 thanks for your help mate it's hard to get a straight answer researching online 🙄😆😂
Would you have a link of where you got the actual spoiler itself from please? Looking to get a spoiler on before I order the extension
hi bro, I'm looking for air suspensions, what did you mount?
Thanks for showing us this :)
Please, anything but scotch locks.
Does it require drilling holes into the bodywork?
Seriously all you had to do was jack the car up, ffs no need to go to all this bother. Absolutely ridiculous, Had Astra k jacked up and splitter installed in minutes FFS man.
Certainly, can do it that way. I had the bumper off because I was taking the "fog light surrounds" (if that's what they are called considering the vxr doesn't have fogs) off the front bumper to be carbon skinned for another video which is why I had removed it.
What size drill bit did you use
Where do you buy your mods from
The corsa stuff was all purchased through a few different websites, eBay/amazon and aliexpress.
Have you just screwed them in with a screwdriver? Was it easy going through the body work?
With the right pressure, the screws will tap themselves into the plastic bumper. You could use a small pilot hole, which would make putting the screws in easier.
Hi mate on the Corsa e vxr where is the intake air temperature sensor. Is that part of the maf or is there another sensor somewhere else
It's part of the map sensor on the intake.
@@AndrewOgilvie1 is that the one in the big bit of plastic right after the air filter
That's a nice car , I'm thinking of buying one of them.
Which wire is the reverse light wire
Awesome work mate. Would the install process be the same for a Peugeot 308 mk2?
Hi my friends I don’t have sound from speakers but Touch ID works did you know how I reset the infotainment systems
Super helpful video. What did you use to glue the screen to the ceiling?
I ended up using velcro tape so that it could be removed if needed. Rather than something more permanent.
@@AndrewOgilvie1 Makes sense. Thanks for the video and for the ideas. I’ll probably mount the sensors on my car by tomorrow.
The small badge just above the large grill badge, any idea how to remove it?
Où as-tu acheté ce spoiler ?
I know this is an old video, but if you actually remove the bumper, for install, there are markings where to actually fit the sensors. Saves having to measure and mark the positions of each sensor.
Wish I'd known that back then. Hopefully, people will see your comment and save themselves half the time.
Hi Sir... it posible to fit in kia rio 2020 model?
Nice one James, Are you going to fit Front Sensors on the corsa, be good to see that 👍 Glenn
I just installed mine today but I was really feel like not strong. Did you?
Hi What is the size of it please i been looking on ebay and it don't say the size of it thanks
Did u drill the hole before fitting them to the car. Have a set of these and going to install them on my car.
I used 8mm self taping bolts to fix mine into place. The plan was if they needed to come off I would them use 8mm bolt with riv-nut combo.
What stops it just peeling off later since the badges are smooth and not keyed.
It's a sprayable rubber. Think of it like silicone. You juat need to clean the surface.
I was wondering, would it be easier taking the badges off and spraying them, or doing this method? I'm thinking about doing this myself. Thanks :D
The only reason I never done that is out of convenience. I do think you'd get a better result however. Yous then need to make templates of where they sit on the car and have double sided tape to replace the old stuff. You'd get a much better longer lasting result. You could just buy black badges and swap them over. By the time you buy the primer, base coat and lacquer and factoring in your time to do it, it would probably be more cost effective.
@@AndrewOgilvie1 ah yeah of course, I didn't think about that actually. I'll most likely go for your way so I can avoid putting them back on. Nothing would be worse than them falling off while driving. Thank you for the fast response, have a good one mate!
Just buy black ones… its nit expensive…
@@YGOrica Alright buddy, that comment was 2 months ago 💀
@@J.C2904 so? Maybe you still didnt chaged it. But yeah sorry that i tried to help.
Hello .... How could you remove the diffuser to put the red rubber border?
nice vid bit of advise use a drill with screw driver bit on so much easier for self tappers rather then socket but looks awesome 😊
Thanks mate! I've used the pz self tapping bits before. It was the only self tappers I had to hand at the time.
Can I dm you on insta ?
Yeah, sure man.
does anyone happen to know if this would fail an MOT?
It would only fail an mot if it was fitted unsafe. For example it drags along the floor, screws/sharp edges sticking out. I've personally never had a problem but if your unsure the best thing to do is talk to your local garage on what's passable and not. Hope that answers your question. Just like many things in life it's usually upto the person testings discretion. I previously had a harsh mot on my Alfa 159 saloon because it had halos fitted to the standard headlights and the headlight projection had not been readjusted and the beams was too low.
Wher did u buy this spoiler
Hi mate. Did you have problems getting the parking sensors to work after they were fitted? I cannot get mine to work and am not sure if it is s as canbus system causing the problem. I found green/white wire in left rear quarter which is reverse signal and when it connected to black box nothing is happening. Did you need to buy anything else or did you just tap into reverse wire? Please help🙏
I'd have a look into where you've taken you live feed from for it to be a canbus problem. How did you come to the conclusion its the green and white? I'm just thinking methodically. Where have you taken your earthing point from? Sometimes in the cheaper kits the parking sensor wires the clips are on the wrong way, ive had this presonally happen before with a kit. I've never had any problems with lives and earth's before on my past vauxhalls.
Nice 1 fella 👍
Ali express sell them with or without the naff sport embossed on it in matt gloss or carbon fibre they have gone up to £36 as your paying £ 16 postage now cheaper on ebay but only available with the sport logo.
Madness the prices of websites like wish and ali express. They were designed to be cheap items with cheap delivery. Not many bargains to be had on there now.
Which spoiler is that you used?
It was a replica A45 spoiler.
what is it with red calipers! - does it improve the brakes. Change the pades for Green stuff , other than throw paint about ?
Red calipers add 5hp horsepower per corner. In all seriousness, its an accent on the car that should have been standard. I'm more of a yellow caliper person but for the ambient lighting in the car was red along with the seat trims and seatbelts. I was daily driving the car so upgrading the already amazing brakes was not really worth the cost and maintenance side. Considering I went through around 8 tyres in a year window.
Did you use self tappers? And no gasket? It’ll rust off in a year and look dog shit.
The spoiler, the self tappers are tapping into, is made from plastic. so not sure what you mean, how i's it going to rust?
come back pls andrew
I will be in the near future fingers crossed. I've been busy with having a baby, moving job, buying, moving and renovating the house. Been a super busy but super rewarding year. Just wished I could spare some funds for something interesting for the channel.
@@AndrewOgilvie1 oh cool i hope you can still congrats on your baby
What mm is the pinestripe tape mate?
I used 6mm pin stripe
@@AndrewOgilvie1 some man, thanks brother
how long dip it lasted for you ?
Lasted the entire time I had the car. Noticed it had been put up for sale again and looking at the pictures the merc star had started peeling.
Great video I know its a long shot: Do you happen to know if this would fit on a corsa d limited edition 1.4 pre face-lift 09 model by any chance.
Thanks mate! They are universal so I don't See why it couldn't be done. The fact its in 3 parts will allow for it to be mounted in a number of different angles and widths
@@AndrewOgilvie1 makes sense thanks for your rapid response. Keep up the good work mate 👍
Ow ye
Hola!, lo has comprado en Amazon?.puedes pasarme el enlace?.gracias desde España
Where did you get the bumper for that mate
Not sure what you mean mate, it's standard vxr bumpers hope that helps
how long did you wait between coats mate
Always check the can and be aware of the temperature. I think I was waiting around around 10 mins in-between coats.
song name please?
I bought the same spoiler for my GLA45 and have the same issues with gaps in the fitment. Rather than try solving it, I decided to just spend the money on the Brabus spoiler instead.
Will this fits for my corsa D 2007?
Yes its universal. I've now seen some bigger cars getting these
I understand. Then this has to fits my car, thankyou dor the information.
How is the quality?
@@larryarhin8082 good quality I have used other big brand splitters in tha past that break more easily than this one
Thats nice, i will order this one, but are you sure it will fit for opel corsa D 2007?
where did you get the intake?
Ebay. I bought a js performance intake pipe and an itg foam cone filter
@@AndrewOgilvie1 no bother cheers mate
What is the length from the middle of the spoiler exstension to the end so I can measure it mate on my car as I have seat Ibiza sport 2008 6L model.. I currently have no spoiler but some people still add a spoiler exstention without
I've sold the car, so I can't check for you. Bit if you find the listing I'm sure it tells you on it.
