Hi lovely!!! This may sound super stupid but I've had an idea to help u with counting your key chain, so it doesn't take up as much time. If u weigh 1, note down the weight. Then weigh a whole bunch together, then just divide the total by the weight of 1 you shud get how many keychains you have. It would save you all the hours of counting xxxx

What is the best way to fix it when u accidentally punch where u have already been and it pushes the previous yarn out further on the front side. I have just been clipping that loop flush with the others on the front when that happens…not sure if that’s correct or not.

Sport weight is a 3

Sooo as a self proclaimed yarn addict I'm going to try and shed some light on the yarn sizing. TLDR Version: The Brava Sport is a Sport Weight/Size 2 yarn and a 4 ply. Using US terms cause it does vary. Details cause I can't help it: The Weight/Size has to do with how thick the yarn is on average and is determined using "wraps per inch". If you ever have some unlabeled yarn and want to determine it's weight/size you can wrap it around a ruler and count how many strands fit in a 1 inch space (you don't want to pull this tight you just want it to lay comfortably around the ruler with no empty space between) Sport weight yarn will have 12-18 wraps (you can find a chart on the craft yarn council's web site) The ply is a construction term. This means that the yarn is made up of 4 individual strands twisted together, you can get a variety of different constructions in sport weight, single ply, 2 ply, 3ply, 4ply, chain ply, all will be the same thickness, but I would assuming not all would work well for punch needle just like they don't all work well for every knit/crochet project. My personal not experience opinion would be to try not to go lower than a 3ply as the lower the ply count the more "fragile" the yarn would be and since most tufted items are hard wearing I would expect it would become problematic. It's also worth noting that the Brava is a 100% acrylic yarn which has some solid properties like color fastness, washability and longevity. You will find a lot of different fiber contents if you start searching through sport weight yarns, I see no reason to stray from acrylic for punch needle, however if you want to go for it, however I'd highly suggest to make sure there is 15% or more of a fiber like acrylic or nylon as this will add strength to the fiber (for reference yarns specifically designed for making socks use 20 -15 % nylon typically or silk if you're looking at the fancier ones). Okay I'll get off the tangent now. Hope this helps someone.

For my Mina needle I like the 3 yarn . If you look on the label the little yarn icon has numbers .

You were right, that sport weight yarn is a size 2. Some size three will fit in that needle but some do not. Size 4 yarn is way too big for that needle and muslin. Red heart yarn is a size 4 if that helps. Thank for a very informative video!

I think your transfer issue was that the print had gotten old(could have been old when shipped to you). I’ve noticed on single colors if I have them close to a year I have this issue, sometimes I will press at higher heat or leave longer under the pressure. I hope that helps!

I got accepted to that one but wasn't sure if my stuff would be well suited for it 'cause I'm more ~alternative~ I guess, but your stuff seems perfect for that place! I feel you on the time! Thankfully the dogs keep me consistent at 9:30am wake up but trying to make it earlier. That manual heat press is fancy! Love the little pad. It might also be that it has to be a warm peel, I noticed with some of of my dtf tags I had to wait till it was warm to the touch not hot to peel, even though it was said to be a hot peel 🤷‍♀Wow!
