    I sometimes need to trim the case length back to the specified case length. Cases tend to get out of spec when they are shot over time. I also try to keep track of how many times each case has been reloaded and inspect them carefully. It is good practice to clean the cases before reloading as well.

      We all had these as kids. Now I prefer a Dillon 550B reloader. If you work steady at a work bench, it would take a week to load enough ammo to go the the range with a .223 for an AR. But for something in the field or in camp these are great.

    I have this upper I have done no modifications whatsoever to either the gun nor the 3 mags I got for it. I’m also running a BCA lower. 2300+ rounds never had a single misfire light strike stove pipe or jam. I ran roughly 220 browning 124g (I think not positive) through it before anything else. Now I can run anything with no problems. I tell everybody to run the Browning before you do anything else including the magazine modification and I know for a fact I have helped several people with their jamming issue. Take from it what you Will good luck to everybody. Just for the record, there are quite a few not only manufacturers types of rounds. The 350 legend is unique in that it can run any 9 mm base projectile whether that is 357 magnum or 38 special or 350 legend unique rounds. Underwood to Winchester it really just takes a little bit of effort to look around but I still recommend everybody start with the browning

    • @cedarhillkennels3252
      @cedarhillkennels3252 Рік тому

      Yes you can run 9mm bullets through it but it’s well documented that the pistol bullets are not built to expand correctly at the higher velocities the legend makes and guys have had problems with them on game, some have no problems with pistol bullets, I won’t chance it, that’s just me, pistol bullets weren’t designed to be run in that cartridge. They work well for plinking but I wouldn’t take the chance on a buck of a lifetime

    • @darkoneokc
      @darkoneokc Рік тому

      @@cedarhillkennels3252 sorry I must not of explained it correctly. Only run them if you’re having issues til everything breaks in, basically plinking. After it’s broken in it’ll run anything. I was aware of the problems people were having with the 350 before I purchased it. But I also know people tend to gravitate towards pointy bullets and point rounds tend to jam if they aren’t fed perfectly. So I went out and found the roundest ammo I could and ran a few hundred rounds to break it in. Now I run whatever I feel like and never have any issues.

    • @darkoneokc
      @darkoneokc Рік тому

      @@cedarhillkennels3252 modifying parts to force it into functioning is not fixing it. It’s putting a bandaid over the problem and hoping it goes away. There’s a problem called tolerance stacking that can cause the platform to fail to function for no apparent reason. Some manufacturers do this unintentionally. They make the parts to a spec and they aren’t always perfect. In these cases it can be a nightmare to track down the issues and most of the time once everything has worn in the issue isn’t there anymore. So the goal is to get to that point where the tight tolerances are no longer an issue. The problem with doing modifications is once that braking occurs you can have dangerous consequences for that Band-Aid. In these cases, it’s best to find a way to get the gun to operate without modification. I.e. a round capable of easing the functionality until break in can occur. Hope all that makes sense. It seems about 50-50 people understand what I’m trying to convey. Lol
