Butter Side Up Theatre company is a new amateur theatre group in Sheffield which specialises in original writing and collaborative works.
Becky Cleary and Michael Hudson met in 2011 as members of their University drama society. Over the next 5 years they performed together in plays, musicals, showcases and served on the committee. Through this society they also met Lucy Smith-Jones who brought experience in film making.
After graduating, and still wanting to be involved in the world of performing arts, the decision to set up a theatre group was a natural next step.
Butter Side Up was set up as a group for those who wanted to enjoy theatre and performing in a fun and friendly setting.
Butter Side Up welcomes people of all levels of theatre experience, to get involved with writing, acting, directing, backstage, marketing and multimedia content, in a range of projects.
