CBSE Notes Class 9 Geography Chapter 3 - Drainage( Part-1)
The term drainage describes the river system of an area. Small streams flowing from different directions come together to form the main river, which ultimately drains into a large water body such as a lake or a sea or an ocean. CBSE Notes Class 9 Geography Chapter 3 on Drainage will help you to understand the drainage system in India. At the end of the chapter, you will also learn about lakes, their importance, role of rivers in the economy and river pollution.
Note: As per the revised CBSE curriculum, the complete chapter has been removed from the syllabus for the 2020-21 academic session except for Map Items which will be assessed in the Examination.
