We exist because of a pure fascination and passion for reptiles. Although formally established in 2013, our founder, DJ van Wyk, already had several years’ experience rearing snakes. His first clutch was from a Burmese python.
DJ has immersed himself in the world of reptile genetics and breeding. He has been mastering his craft for just under a decade. I’ve been in the hobby a while and while I’ve always heard everyone say they’ve heard from the bigger guys calico/sugar didn’t have a super but I’ve never actually seen anyone post pics of a clutch. Have you personally tried calico x calico? Same goes for confusion…

Hypo is the truth. Underrated and under worked in my opinion. I’m a first time breeder going to be doing my first ever pairing this year and my primary focus in my collection is hypo and clown. The 2 together I think are like cookies and cream. I’ve got a champagne (great line with no wobble) hypo, super pastel hypo het clown, leopard yb clown het hypo and blackhead vanilla yb butter het hypo. Super excited to get some beautiful visuals!

Is the heat tape inside the enclosure?? If it is, I wouldn’t recommend that. It should be underneath the enclosure.
Better of with a radiant heat panel, heat mat won't get through the pvc for warmth.
@@reptileorders1916 I’ve used UTH under the enclosure before, and it worked just fine. Just make sure the heat tape isn’t loose and lies flat beneath the surface. Also, it will work better if the room temperature is warmer than normal. But I agree, RTH is the best way to go.
It’s not heat tape, but a heat pad. I think it’s hard to see in the video, thanks for your comment. I will definitely looking into the radiant heat panel as well.
@@reptilesforcenturies8043 Personally, I don’t believe any heat tape or pads are safe on the floor of an enclosure. Only RHPs are safe because they’re usually mounted on the top or side. I think you’re taking a huge risk by placing the heat pad at the bottom of the enclosure.

What happens to the animals with genetics you don't need?
In the past we have always sold or donated all animals with genetics we no longer require, however we are trying as far as possible to avoid those animals in order to produce more animals for our own collection.
Would love to have a facility housing all my snakes in vivariums someday. Makes observing them less invasive for the animal and more natural of an occurrence.

You think super pastel is bad? It’s hard to find adult or older super pastel stuff online but I’ve found some “adults” that still look okay to me 🤷🏻♂️ some also look dirty or very faded too tho
I don’t think its bad, they make some incredible combos but I will try to avoid Super Pastel.
Definitely agree it’s def not a bad gene and arguably makes some animals even better. I did a video talking about some of my thoughts a few weeks back. Not a pastel hater here
