This measures around 2 feed by 13.5” by 1.5” thick. Made of Walnut, Cherry, and Hard Maple. I skipped a lot of the sanding because that’s boring.
Faux Live Edge Epoxy Coasters

Live edge epoxy coasters. Live edge is faux with the bandsaw on a 15* angle. Epoxy I used is old Super Clear 2.0. Material is spalted maple and the others at the end are walnut.
Charcuterie Boards

Two fairly simple charcuterie boards. Ones got just a Purple Heart strip, the other a wavy piece of curly maple.
One Board Build

This is an urn someone requested that was a simple build. Used a single 1”x8”x8’ board stained and clear gloss poly.
Picture Frame

Walnut frame and just a thin piece of plywood for the laser burning.
Wavy Wooden Flag
Переглядів 293Рік тому
These are a little smaller than I normally make. These measure 20”x11.25” made out of pine, and finished with a spray poly.

Pet Urn

Unfortunately this was a harder build as my dog Polar passed away from old age right before Christmas. This is where he will rest with his brother.
Noodle Board

Custom made noodle board with a cut out for a griddle handle on the front.
It's looking amazing!
Thanks 🙏
Do the pieces
I cheated on the pieces. I used molds and resin. 😂

That is cool but I think that is way too big for a cutting board. This look more like a butcher block than a cutting board. When you cut meat or vegetables on your cutting board, it is expected to lift it up with one hand and shove whatever you have cut into cooking pan, pot or bowl. Also I don't think you can easily wash and clean this in a sink because of the sizes. I think you can make out 9 cutting boards out of this; that is how big and thick this is imo. lol
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 🙏. I’m assuming you’re not from the United States? Here it’s definitely a butcher block but not too big for what we cut up. This would be a good size for a medium size brisket or something along that line.
Awesome tribute!!!!
Thanks 🙏
I’m going to make 1 for my sister she’s 85 now so I’ve got some time to go. Thank you Sir
I’ll unfortunately have to make another one down the road too. We have one dog left and he’s 8 with some health issues. I’m sure we have a few years left with him though. 115lb Alaskan Malamute.
Kinda sucks that it took my dog passing to find your channel but that turned out really nice. This gives me inspiration for the urn I'm going to make. Thanks man
Appreciate the comment. It’s definitely hard when they pass, but for some reason feels a little better when they’re kept with you.
I just finished watching the whole build, I gotta say you did an amazing job! I'm mentally getting ready to build a stand for my own tank and I've been watching many build videos on UA-cam to pick up as many helpful idea's as I can. Your videos have contributed a lot towards that so I thank you. I'm nowhere near as skilled as you are but I have built one stand in the past which I think turned out pretty good considering my somewhat minimal woodworking experience. I'm hoping that this next stand turns out even better.
Thanks for the comment, and kind words. This is my second aquarium stand I’ve built. The first was 180 gallon that I did 8 years ago. I learned from all the things I didn’t like about that one and fixed them on this one. After having this one a few years I wouldn’t mind getting a bigger tank and doing another stand video. Thanks again for watching 🙏.
Best looking one yet. Amazing job.
Thank you 🙏
Teach me your ways I’m not worthy!
I’m a big fan of starting with the bare minimum, and only adding things as they’re needed.
Very nice!
Thanks 🙏
Nice detailed work.
Thanks!🙏
Great designs! How did you get the maple squiggly insert not to Crack? I didn't notice how you cut that,
I actually didn’t show that step, but I soaked it then clamped it some and let it dry. Soaked it again and clamped all the way and let it dry. Then when you cover it with glue it’s pliable enough to clamp and hold. I also skipped the finish sanding in the video just because it’s boring lol. Thanks for watching!
@@ekgwoodworks2931 it was an awesome video. Very inspiring
What wood did you use for the stand and canopy?
The main frame was just 2x4s that I milled the radii off. All the other wood I used was just pine.
When you used the router table gave me anxiety lol nice work
Thanks 🙏
Vey nice build and got a great cause. May I also suggest putting a container at the back of the saw and let the pieces fall into the container rather than trying to lean over the spinning blade and delicately trying to retrieve it. It won’t take much for that to bite you! You have a new subscriber.
Yup, it only takes one little distraction and there goes a finger.
What paint did you use? looks like it laid down really well
I used Valspar oil based cabinet enamel from Lowe’s. It says cabinet and furniture on the front of the can.
How tall is your stand And are you satisfied with that hight?
I made it roughly 36” tall. I made it the same height as my kitchen counter, because eventually I’m gonna make a cabinet to get next to it. Love the height being higher than factory stands. Don’t have to bend down to see in.
Very very nice job bro and I like how we're very detail oriented with it.
Thanks! Appreciate the comment.
Beautiful work but good luck with the rust
Thanks! I actually made a 180 gallon stand 7 years ago like this, and no issues with rust yet.
Great video, I love seeing new canopy designs especially! One wish is that you spent a bit more time on the hinge for the whole front panel....those 180+ degree hinges can be done in a few different ways and I would have loved to see how you solved it :)
Thanks for the comment. I got a little excited that it was almost done and kind of skipped over that part.
Awesome job! My neighbor is going to help me build a stand for my future 125g tank. But mine is just for my bigger African chichld tanks. I do have a 28g nanocube and a IM 10g nano reef tanks. Hehe. Subscribed.
Thanks! This one has been up and running about 6 months now. Good luck on getting yours built!
Thanks for watching. It’s still holding strong and looks great!
Sorry for your loss, thank for sharing this build. If I may, not judging... some of the passes you make on the saw are a bit dangerous, just me.... the unsupported vertical panel cuts remind me of a friend who had an incident doing just the same thing in the same way, no offense ....
I would definitely agree with you. I knew they were a bit sketchy when I did them. Will probably be making a clamping fixture in the future.
@@ekgwoodworks2931 also consider a Zero clearance insert for your TS. Cheers
One of the best builds I've seen!
Appreciate that!
amazing work, u inspire me to be this good one day
Appreciate the comment 👍🏼
This is TOO COOL! You need more subscribers. Have you thought about making one on a smaller scale? Maybe for a ten-gallon?
Thanks 🙏, and I agree haha. My brother is wanting something for a 40 gallon sometime, so I’ll probably build a smaller one at some point.
@@ekgwoodworks2931 That would be so neat! Can't wait to see it. 😄
I am very sorry for your loss. I also have animals and I know how painful it is, but you gave him a wonderful new home.
Appreciate that. Thanks 🙏
So sorry for your loss. It came out beautiful
Thanks! I since added engraving to the lid and a burnt imagine on the front.
