Hey mate, good stuff. what’s the boat setup?
Epic mate. I needed this video. Currently hunting my first toga 💪🏻
deserve so many more subs and nice fish
If you wanna catch a toga use a live bait frog, no sinker make sure it is floating and jumping on top of the water
Nice one again mate cheers
Bruz really enjoying these series as I’m beginning my toga quest at hinze now. So much info and so well out together. Cheers mate
Great to see you posting more vids. Found your toga series a couple of months ago. Awesome stuff!
Great vid mate. Thanks heaps. About to start my toga party 🎉
you should try storing your rods inside of your kayak. or at least one of them.
surely do a murray cod drift video. would be very similar to this but bigger fish.
Do I need a license?
this video is great!
The snagman be3n on a good paddock
Quality fish
Looked more like a survival session than a fishing one! Love the vid mate! Looks like a great river to fish when its a bit calmer. Looking forward to the next video.
you dudes are funny as F***, love the content!
I’ll end up making a video of it one day but I got a big old girl out of there a few years back now 👌 Locals have said it’s the biggest they have seen but we didn’t measure it to know. Subscribed mate 🙏
I've never been brave enough to fish the dead trees in fear of a fish taking me for a tangled ride which I will never be able to retrieve lol
Do you find that you get more bites than just the assist hooks as is?
Definitely found an improvement on bite quantities
Is it good for shore jigging small jigs
if cut the hole to big in the squid skirt you can wrap cotton 20 times around the skirt where hook line goes through. Finish with 6 or so half hitches. Do it super tight and it will never slip down onto hook. I do it even to the ones that are tight as then they never ever slip then.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. These are a bucket list fish and this video has inspired me to put some time into trying to work them out.
Whereabouts is this spot?
Blocking out the Harley bike rack. LOL The crevice menace.
sick video my guy i just moved to goldy bout to hit the hinz dam up in a few days this helped alot appreciate the video.
Mate, damn good video, full of great info on these awesome fish. I spent 6 years stalking the banks of the Connors, and other upper Fitzroy tributaries, and all your tips are bang on what you need to know and practice to achieve success. Having moved back to the Goldy I've been meaning to go try them out in Hinze. So it's good to know all the lessons I learned up north, seem to relate to your experience with dam based fish. Once again great video. 👍
i live near there so i might go for a fish
What bait would be good brother ? Plz reply
My mum got one on a garden worm once but that’s the only experience I have with bait sorry
You’re breathing is too quick and you shouldn’t be grabbing the fish. Not cool
It is a cool wreck to explore with all the fish
Hey mate, know anywhere else in Gold Coast that I could catch 20cm and under togas? If not do you know any easily accessible land based spots at hinze dam?
Great video brother what a trip. When are ya gonna do a boat run down haha. All the best
hey mate can i ask where that moring was? might be worth a poke out there to get my first GT as well. yeeeew super stoked you got one on the last day! the struggle was worth it!
Loving these DStyles on the toga at Borumba lately.
Outstanding video mate, think you pretty much nailed everything on Saratoga at Hinze. Some other great lures for surface are the Megabass Anthrax, Tiemco Jumbo Cicada and as you mention the OSP Bent Minnow but in the 106 size. Another setup up I have had alot of sucess in the past with is the smaller zman frogs like you used but on a 1/4oz snakelockz head with a jig spin attached. Jackall Squirrels in the 79 and 67 size in Gold colour are also favourites.
fuck yeh boys! very nice edit.... Im just about to move from Sydney to Hervey Bay, Ive done alot of fishing up that way but a Lady Musgrave from 1770 trip is definitely on the cards soon. Cheers boys!
Bend a small hook onto end of a paper clip to pull them through mate
You guys are manhandling a lot of fish
Great footage mate and awesome trevally
Did you see how the large fish was chasing her for a second?!
What size motor have you got on the back and how much fuel under the floor? Keen to do a trip in my 490 vision with 80hp on back, I know each boat is different but how much fuel did you take and actually use?
I have a 60hp on mine and 60L under the floor, I take a spare 90L in cans and both times I have done the trip I have used about 140L.
@@SunnyDazeFishing cheers for that. I’m keen to head up soon. What’s the max wind you have been out in up there? I know you said you can’t really dedicate a weekend and need to drop Everything when the weather is good. What are the ideal weather conditions you head out in and which weather apps have you found to be the most reliable?
@@SunnyDazeFishing what also would be handy, maybe a video on what you have learnt to take and leave behind over the years of trips to the reef and how your boat is setup/packed for a trip to the reef. Cheers
@@tommartin2593 on this trip it blew up to 30knts the following day, the footage was lost due to hard drive malfunction, but that was wild! I wouldn’t head out there with a forecast over 10knts, as for weather apps I use windy and Willy weather, both are rarely spot on but between them you can get quite and accurate forecast
@@tommartin2593 that is something I would enjoy doing, that’s a great idea mate, when I get some time I’ll put one together
Great fish hope your netting skills have improved 👍
You boys need some sun cover bro.. Sun stroke is a killer..
Awesome edit boys 🔥 haha I fish the same area but usually by myself. Caught a few but hard to land them solo. Keep up the sick edits 💪
Hey mate nice work , just wondering how much fuel you packed for this trip . I'm planning a similar trip 👍👌
Awesome bro hope you have a good time! I have 60L underfloor tank and I think we took 2 Jerry’s from memory so about 100L and my boat uses about 1L every 2.2km depending on weather ect.
SDF, Great video! I just found your channel and subscribed!
Lesgo lads 💪
good work boys!!
Fuck yea boys! good to see you back
What lure was that that you were using first I’ve been trying to get the for a week now
