I agree with you, i really liked scums: droid, 404 and mimic are some of my favorite songs from them! i love the old Nightmare as well, but i'm glad they're trying to change, not only doing the same thing over and over again. This is why they are genuine artists!
But I think the Nightmare with this change has improved. Even today they have a style that nobody does. Assaulter has Dubstep splashing around and I personally have never heard of such a thing in a rock band and I must say that when Nightmare had made no change, I would not listen, because this is already too crass for me sometimes. I do not know if you've ever heard the album scums, but it has a multitude of styles included with those I did not expect at Nightmare.
Even though it's been twelve years since I first saw this and they've changed so much, I keep watching this PV because this is the video I just happened to see out of the blue that made me love them. I'm currently having a blast laughing at all the comments from people who obviously haven't known Nightmare very long, or even bothered to look back at their history. They're birthing new music too fast these days and starting to lose the character traits that make their music unique. :(
