2013 Ford F-150 Raptor For Sale (SOLD)
I have the 2021 F-450. I've noticed it regen once. I now have almost 300'000 miles on I and I've not seen the regen lite come on once since. Almost all of my milage is interstate. Is this a potential problem. Also there does not seem to be any manual override options????
That regen light only comes on when you turn off the auto regen, otherwise you will never see it. And the manual stuff has to enabled after the fact, it's not on by default. From the sounds of it, you have nothing to worry about. 300k miles on your truck everything is good. I only enabled all of the OCR regen stuff because I don't do a lot of interstate travel so my truck never has a chance to do it's auto regens, so I set it up so I can do them manually. If you're on the interstates all the time the truck will handle them all by its self.
@@dahoodieguy Thank you! I was thinking that was the case but it's reassuring to have an informed, second opinion.
hey bro, there is a newer model of this monitor you have that goes up to 260hz. It's Q27G3ZN. It has the same design so i think it's pretty much the same. Does that comes with brightness controller on the monitor and also like software monitor built in to shift with one mode to another? Are you able to see Q27G3ZN on JBHIFI Australia website, to see if it's really the same? Thanks.
Wish you had continued the video.
I wasn't really planning on posting up this video to my channel but seeing as you had some questions on things I figured why not post it if it might help someone else out. Let me know if you have any further questions and I'll do my best to be of assistance.
Question, the top angle aluminum, are there just screws on the front, or are there screws on the top too? If you remove the screws on front, does the angle just slide out?
There are only screws in the front of that top L bracket. Nothing on the top of it as you wouldn't be able to get to that part of it because of the roof. It will just slide out when you remove the front screws, however, you will have to remove the two side cover pieces in order to remove the top L bracket. And by side cover pieces, I mean the two pieces on the street and curb side that go from the ceiling to the side walls (the two painted parts I show, that long one and the little short one in my case) as they will prevent the top L bracket from coming out while still in place. I would think that you wouldn't need to take them fully down as you only need enough room to get that top L bracket out with what you are trying to do. In my case, the bottom brackets are double sided taped on to the walls so you can unscrew everything and remove the top bracket and the painted cover pieces leaving the bottom parts still taped to the walls. That would give you enough room to remove the top L bracket that is above the door. That door is put in there kind of like Legos and you have to remove certain things in order to remove other things. Hope this helps some.
@@dahoodieguy thank you so much. I have cabinets and have already removed the top pieces... they were very short.
@dahoodieguy I am on ATC group on Facebook and posted photos. Also that top angle is short on ends and don't go to the walls, so it should be easy. I really appreciate your response. 80 year old woman alone, which fake shoulders, not support to work my arms overhead.
@@swankieR_wheels Perfect, as long as those are out of the way, that top L bracket will just slide right out once you have removed the screws holding it in. You will then be able to access the top of the door. Again, it's just a bunch of screws that hold it on.
@dahoodieguy it slide right off. I have had to cut the stitching to access the zipper, now trying to feed the new pull on. Tricky, but close. Don't know what I will do about re-stitching it!
Realize this is an old video, but you can get a ride height valve for a Semi and use the top center bolt for your diff cover to mount the lower point. Have to figure a way to mount the upper side. But that's what I did for my 2500hd cause I like the auto adjustable as long as I have air.
That sounds like a great idea. Don’t really it need it though in my case. I usually set it to like 5 to 10 PSI and never have to mess with it until I hook up my trailer. Then I run it up to maybe 40 to 60 PSI just to keep my truck from squatting. Thanks for the suggestion though. Would be nice to have it do it on it’s own.
Is it 240hz AND 2560x1440?
That is correct and I'm still loving it.. ;)
@@dahoodieguy yoo alright im getting it thanks :D
@@dahoodieguyI’m on 2560x1440 and it only lets me choose 143.91 there’s nothing higher and I paid for a 240Hz
@@dahoodieguyanyway to fix it?
@staven8433 There are going to be a lot of variables here. Need more info. How do you know it's only at 144 Hz? What port are you using (HDMI? Displayport?) What is your video card? What is the cable you are using? Stuff like that. I don't know that I can help but if you drop some more information about what you have going on I can try. I know when I right click on the desktop and click display settings --> Advanced display I see mine at 2560x1440, 240 Hz.
So it used nearly 75 miles worth of fuel, the truck did nothing useful. How in TF does the government think this is saving the planet?
Tell me about it. They are saying we are causing the climate change with our trucks while they are flying all over the world in their private jets. Pretty realistic.
If it makes you feel any better the F-250's and 350's with the 6.7 do NOT have any emissions controls, EGR systems, or DPF's. Funny thing the government... Makes You and I have to follow rules they refuse to.
@@1125rmanThis is a tired argument that isn’t true. The ONLY emissions exempt vehicles are military. These vehicles have to be exempt as ULSD isn’t available throughout much of the world.
@joshmcgowan33 really? That's funny... Because the 2022 F350 I drove had no DPF on it... My F350 has a DPF... But my GSA truck didn't. And it was a 6.7l.
@1125rman it probably got deleted but all newer diesels come with them except emergency and military vehicles.
Bro, shakey camera, too dark no narration. Looks like a cool boat but…
Thanks for the input. I took this back in like 2010 with my GoPro hero 4. Before the advent of all the steady cam stuff we have these days. But rest assured if I start looking for a new boat the video quality will be a lot better.
I have a 2019 Lariat 350 that doesn’t have the auto regen function. Can anyone tell me what do❓
OCR is something that you need to enable yourself. You do it with an OBD2 reader and a free software called Forscan. There are several videos here on UA-cam that will explain the exact process of how it's done. Good luck and know that is is well worth the time to figure it out. There are a lot of things that you can do to your truck with the software.
hey bro do u think this monitor is worth it? i have a 27 inch 165hz 1080p curved msi monitor rn and i need something new. does it have good color customization and things like that?
It seems pretty good to me. I'm not an expert in displays or anything but I've been liking it. The price was good and it looks good to me. I haven't really changed the color settings on it. I set it to DisplayHDR when I got it and pretty much haven't seen the need to change it since then. Would I recommend it, based on what I've seen so far, yes I would.

This was just a test run through Lorville with my GTX 1080. The ones with my 7900GRE look a lot better I think. Thanks for the comment!!
looks good my guy :)
Other than my video card struggling.. My 7900 gre should be here tomorrow and I'll run it again to compare the differences.
@@dahoodieguy cool cool :)
When I put the Banks 5 inch cat back on. The OCR only takes 18 minutes. The 82 percent increase of flow helps for power and regen.
Very nice. My truck is still 100% stock (except for onboard air and airbags) so far. Maybe at some point I might do some mods to it like that. Thanks for the info and comment!!
My 2022 Lariat, I have OCR enabled on it and love it. My 2024 however won’t allow OCR to be enabled but it also is a better active system. At least when it does regen, it only fills the filter to 50% which takes about 8 miles to cook off. Also if in regen and power is shut off, it resumes the current regen cycle on next power up. My 2022 would not resume, it would just start refilling the filter until 100% full.
Nice. I haven’t dealt with anything other than my 2017 so I don’t know anything about how they work. It’s good that they have updated the systems some. And the way it won’t resume on a restart like that is why I try to do them as static when I can. Like to make sure it’s always fully cleaned when it needs it. Thanks for the comment!!

That is a sweet ship for sure.. Thanks for the comment! ;)
@@dahoodieguydamn i want it, i cant decide if i need it or not, my plan is to fly polaris full time and i also wanted to get eclipse for polaris hangar. Its a shame prowler is probably too big, otherwise i would jam it in polaris and use that as a secondary,i freaking love the spotlights on prowler as well and its like icing on a cake for me(i always like good landing lights or spotlights)
Personally, I love the landing lights on the Drake Corsair myself. It is very nice to be able to actually see where you're about to touch down at. Good luck on your decisions!!
@@dahoodieguy @dahoodieguy i just found some video with corsair on ground at night and yes it is very nice flood lighting around the area of the ship landing gears.Something like this gets overlooked and ignored, but if we get more that xian system where one planet day cycle lasts 100+ years then you can imagine that you will always go to some locations and they will always be in the dark side so solid landing lights=spotting threats and landing=very useful
Yeah for sure. When I first started playing SC, it was a major issue for me. Alway so dark and I couldn't see anything. Finally they tweaked the lights a bit and made it better. The Corsair has a nice rear ramp light too. Helps a lot when looting on those ERT missions. hehe..
Hey I switched to manual regen W/ active Regen inhibit. It’s not showing on the instrument panel with the percentage. Do I have to switch something else to get It on the instrument panel? I have a 2019 F250.
Yes, There is two parts to it.. Sounds like you got the second one done. The first one is to add the percentage screen to the display. That is where you actually start the manual regen process from. Don't know where you are getting your settings from but on my sheet there is one called "Add DPF Filter % to screen" which is under IPC 720-07-02 and another for "Enable Auto-Regen Checkbox" which is on the plain english side.
Here is now I see it on my sheet. Don't know how this is going to come through but here it is... Add DPF Filter % to screen IPC 720-07-02 x7xx xxxx xFxx xxxx This adds the DPF % screen to the Truck Information screen. Some trucks will report a camera error after making this modification. To avoid this, update according to the following: If original default value is 0, change to 8; if 1, change to 9; if 2 then A; if 3 then B; if 4 then C; if 5 then D; if 6 then E, if 7 then F.
Okay! Thank you very much!!
I’m using FORScan and OBSLinkEx too.

Hey, It is something that you will need have enabled at a Ford dealer, or get an OBD2 reader (like I showed in the video) and Forscan software to enable the settings yourself. A quick UA-cam search will show the exact process for DIY. Thanks for the comment.
I have a Foxwell and Blue Driver scan tools. Sounds like that won't work?
@@johnnywalker5635 I honestly have no idea.. The OBD2 device is like 50 bucks off Amazon and Forscan is a free software though.
My truck doesnt gave this option. F250
It's something that you have to turn on with an OBD2 reader and the Forscan software. It will not be there by default.
I got a 17 f350 6.7 King Ranch dually and I can't find anything about DPF or regen in my menu
Hey, it is something that has to be enabled after the fact. It is not turned on by default. If you search on UA-cam for something like "enabling Ford OCR" you should find the method for enabling it. You need an OBD2 reader like I showed in my video as well as a copy of Forscan (which you can download for free at forscan.org) on a windows laptop. You could also try a Ford dealer service center and see if they will enable it for you as well. They may or may not do it for you. But it's actually a pretty straight forward process once you understand how it all works. Hope this helps some and thanks for the comment. Good luck.
Thanks for the information. I'm still learning how the new stuff works. Lol. I'm still debating whether to to learn the new systems or just delete altogether. I've heard a lot about 4scan but kinda leary about going that deep into the computer (some things you can't UNDO)lmao 😂 I'll try the Dealer route first
@@jasonschaeffer72 Yeah, I'm thought about deleting mine too but decided against it. Hopefully the dealer will be able to hook you up. Make sure to tell them that you want the "inhibit" feature turned on so you can stop a regen from starting when you don't want it to. Good luck!!

Hey man, got a question. I have a 2019 f250 platinum 6.7. The rpm’s will shoot up to 1k when its warming up or when idling while in park, and I can here the turbo spooling, I’ll tap the gas and it goes back to normal. I don’t have the manual filter clean option, was curious what you or anyone thought this might be coming from?
Heyhey, I do believe that is from a Ford recall that has been done to your truck. Which was a PCM flash that changed something with the SCR. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was Ford EMISSION Recall 20E07. Have you had any recalls taken care of on your truck in the past? And the manual regen stuff doesn't come turned on by default. It's something that you have to turn on or get a Ford dealer to do for you if they will. Hope that helps and thanks for the question.
Thought I'd post you an update. I was reading some posts on the FB Super Duty forms this morning and happened to run across a good explanation for what you are seeing with the idle up. Figured I'd post it for you. "The exhaust aftertreatment does not work properly when cold. The DOC cannot convert HC and the SCR cannot convert NOx. These constituents accumulate in the exhaust or slip through and cause pollution. The elevated idle will result in a proper working aftertreatment and burn off of accumulated constituents." Hopes this helps explain better why it's doing that.
I would be considered normal if your truck has had the recall done to it I do believe. I have not let them flash my truck as of yet so I do not experience this myself.
@dahoodieguy my truck has the recall code your talking about I was just curious how long should I let it do that for
I don't think there is anything you should be doing. If it's idling up, just hit the brake pedal and it should stop. Not something that you have worry about. More just the truck trying to make the emissions work the way they want it to. I'm pretty sure it will continue to do it basically for the rest of the trucks life unless they come out with a newer recall that changes something. And as I stated in the comment above, I have not let them do this recall to my truck so I'm not 100% sure on the whats and whys and such. Just my own observations from what I see online. Thanks for the question and I hope this helps some what.
Hey man, thanks for the video. I’m considering to buy a 6.7 power stroke, but I don’t drive on highway daily. If you had to guess, what percentage of your miles has to be highway miles in order to keep the system “clean”? Thanks!
Normally it will take about 20 to 30 mile nonstop to get the DPF fully cleaned. I don't drive on the interstates too much myself these days which is why I enabled the OCR stuff. With it enabled (like I show in the video) you don't really need to drive it to clean it. Just pull off some where safe and manually run it when it's full. Works like a champ. Let me know if you have other questions and I'll do my best to help if I can. Thanks for the question and comment!! Good luck!
Hi I am looking for the scan tool you used. I have a 2014 F250 6.7. To day
Hello, the OBDII connector is called "OBDLink EX" and you can grab it for about 60 bucks on Amazon. The software side you can download from forscan.org. You can get a 3 month license from them for free. You will need a windows install to use their software. Hope this helps. Good luck.
@@dahoodieguy T hank you for the heads up on the parts. So after Ford did the regeneration they have advised me I need a new cat. At the cost of $6700. Plus $1200 Installed now I am looking for a new cat.
@@georgemcpherson102 I don't know exactly what is involved with all of that, but I see catalytic converters online for 500'ish bucks or so. Might be worth a second opinion from another dealer or diesel shop before you drop close to 10k. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

What do I think? Okay, well you asked for it. "The wreck was not bad enough for me to stop so I kept going as well". - Well Bob, we got reports that you sideswiped a car in your rig and kept going. They filed a police report and hired an attorney. There were two of them in the car with the same story, so I'm sorry but we're going to have to let you go. No no, I believe you, but with two witnesses, both with back pain and medical bills, I don't have a choice. Too bad someone else wasn't around or a camera didn't pick it up. Good luck in the future Bob, I'm sure this will be off your CDL driving record in no time at all. Until then, maybe Swift or Amazon Prime will hire you. It isn't like 20,000 YRC drivers are all looking for work right now... You are selfish, and could have cost this driver his job because you were too lazy or self absorbed to stop and help. That's what I think.
I can appreciate your point of view and thanks for the comment. Only thing I can say is hopefully Bob invested in a dashcam being that all Bob does is drive up and down the roads with a bunch of krazies all the time. Good luck Bob, me and my truck load of kids hope it worked out okay for you.

Will that REGEN ,take that bird shit off the fender ???
If that fender gets close enough to the exhaust it will.. hehe.. Thanks for the comment!
That's some crazy stuff right there! Just got myself a 2019 6.7L and have been reading up on this DPF business. Coming from a 7.3L I didn't know anything about this system. I believe the manual says that driver input is not necessary and that the regens are automatic...is that not the case? So 4 days after buying the truck I get a damn CEL with a DTC of P2002, which as you know is the DPF system. Guess I'm off to the dealer...just glad I'm still under warranty!
Congrats on the new 6.7. Great engines. The regens are automatic if you drive a lot on the interstate. They need non-stop travel for it fully clean the DPF. If you stop the truck the regen ends and it doesn't get to fully clean the filter. At the very least you should turn on the DPF percentage so you know the level of "fullness" that it is currently at. I setup OCR on my truck because there is sometimes that I'm only doing short drives and it is nice to be able to do a manual DPF clean. Knowing that the filter is back to zero percent when its done. Keeps those P2002's from surprising you. Warranty or not, truck still has to go to the shop which means downtime for you. The OBD2 reader is like 30 bucks, Forscan is free, and that is 100% worth the piece of mind that my truck is going to be doing what it should be when I need it to rather than it being laid up at the dealer getting fixed.. ;) Thanks for comments and good luck!
I was told this was only available in the lower trim levels that idles a lot.
That should not be the case.. Pretty much any 2017+ Ford Super Duty with the 6.7 diesel in it can do this. You have to use Forscan to enable everything or a dealer may (or may not) do it for you. But other than that, they all should support it. Thanks for the comment.
I just performed this OCR in my driveway. After it was complete and the engine idled down. I tried taking it for a drive and upon take off and braking to a stop the engine acted as if it were going to cut out and die but it would always stay alive. Drives fine but idles at 500rpm. What’s wrong?
Hey, I've never had that issue before with mine. After the DPF clean completes, I will always drive it around a little bit to help things cool off some as it gets pretty hot during the cleaning process. Did it fully clean the DPF back down to zero percent in the read out? And other than the low idle does everything else seem like it's working as it should be? I'm not really sure what the issue could be as I am not a diesel mechanic. I just know how mine behaves and I've never had any issues what so ever. A little bit of white smoke when it starts which goes away pretty quick, it does its thing and I drive off like normal. What model/miles and year is your truck? Has it thrown any codes or anything? Do you notice anything out of place like high engine oil temps or anything? Was that the first time you've done one of the static cleans like that? I would suggest that you post about it on one of the Super Duty forums on Facebook to see if anyone else has had this type of issue. I'd be interested in knowing what (if anything) you find out. Good luck.
❤ I noticed that your steel braided wire is too close to the exhaust that can create a leak when the steel braided coating gets real hot. It will cause a leak. Trust me, I have experience that it was my fault that I did not properly route the steel braided hose that goes from my toolbox to my air horns in my air pressure gauge in the cab of my truck. Keep your steel braided hose away from the exhaust. The hose will last much longer. ❤❤
Thanks for the tip.. I've had it under there like it for over two years now and everything has been fine so far. Hopefully it will stay like that! I will keep an eye on it though.
You would love to see pictures of my operation in my truck. I’m very proud of what I built for my truck and it keeps the stupid people from getting too close. The air horns are extremely loud and they wake up the dead that are stupid on the freeway.
I like your system it’s very detailed. It’s a clean application, but I would never put my air compressors in an area that could get filthy, dirty and get water splashed all over them everything that I put together, including. 4 VIAIR air compressors are in the toolbox in my pick up truck, so they never get in the weather. I don’t want them to be splashed with water or any kind of mud and filth. I have a 80 amp fuse that activates all 4 VIAIR air compressors at the same time but I do have a switch where I can activate just two of them if I do not use that switch all 4 four of them come to life with the flick of one switch if I want rapid air recovery for my airhorns. I think everybody should stay away from the copper coated aluminum wire. Copper coated. Aluminum wire is not safe for high amperage. Be careful when you buy off of Amazon. Make sure it’s solid copper that is not coated with aluminum.
Yeah, I went through thinking about it under the truck like that. Being I don't have a tool box in the back of my truck I just decided to put them under the truck. The air compressors are 100% sealed except the air intake part, which is not really a problem as I wouldn't have them on while I'm off road or driving anyways. So far, after almost three years of them being under there, they are surprisingly clean. I think they are high enough under there and the transfer case gives them good blocking from most of the grime. Only real issue I've had is with the pressure switch in the manifold being straight up and down allows moisture to get down into the switch and rust it out. I've had to replace it twice already.. Thanks for the comments!
❤. I bought two starter solenoid’s for my air compressor system using the. 4 VIAIR air compressors for my system. I have four gauge wire copper wire, not aluminum coated copper wire that goes from my battery inside of the pick up truck toolbox that’s in my bed. People need to talk about the copper wire. That’s coated with aluminum. It’s not good for the system. If you’re pulling high amperage like I am. People need to be careful as to what they purchase off of Amazon. Some of it is real cheap junk. Cherry pick the wire that you purchase. I have an 80 amp fuse, about 8 inches away from the positive terminal on my battery. The 4 gauge wire goes all the way down the frame of my truck open to the Tool Box that’s in the bed of my pick up truck to activate. 4 VIAIR air compressors. I do have six of these compressors, but there’s not enough room in the toolbox for. 6 air compressor, so I was only able to put 4 of them in the toolbox with a 2 1/2 gallon air tank. The system that I put together is very detailed. It’s very reliable and I did hit the bypass/boost switch to bypass the pressure switch and ran it all the way up to 250 psi and none of the hoses steel braided hoses I might add did not come apart, but I do have a pressure switch that shut everything off at 170 psi I put the system together just for super loud Hadley air horns in the grill of my truck where you cannot see it, but it will wake the dead if I need to wake somebody up before they hit my truck. It’s a shame that we cannot post pictures when we post comments or videos on UA-cam because my system is completely highly detailed ❤❤
Nice.. And yes, I've dealt with the wire issues before. It does take some digging to get a good piece of wire off amazon. You never know what that stuff is going to be when you finally receive it. My first setup I did have the wire from the battery to the first fuse there disintegrate basically. I replaced it with a better wire as well as some heat shrinking and it's been good ever since thankfully.
❤❤❤ hi mounted my 4 Viair air compressors in the toolbox in the bed of my pick up truck for my airhorns. I did not want them underneath of the vehicle because they’re going to be exposed to a lot of bad weather, water, and dirt. I’ve pumped my system all the way up to 250 psi it all of my fittings did not blow apart but I sent them with pressure switches that go up to 170 psi and then all for compressors get turned off. I put the system together just for air horns to keep people awake when they’re driving down the road and they might for some reason not be paying attention. I don’t want him to crash into my new truck so I can give them a check up from the neck up as they start weaving into my lane. I’ve got a 2 1/2 gallon air tank and the system is unbelievable when I show it to anybody they are totally blown away. ❤❤❤
Sounds like a nice setup. The air compressors are sealed up pretty good except for the filter part that takes in air. Mine are high enough up under the truck that they stay pretty clean all the time. As long as I'm not out mud bogging or anything they should be fine. I've wanted to get some air horns for my truck too but have not as of yet. I mainly use mine for airing up tires and blowing things out to clean the dust out. Maybe one day I'll throw on the horns. I think it would be pretty nice. I've seen setups where the normal horn works until you flip an upfitter switch then the air horn will work instead of the normal one. Would be pretty nice. Thanks for the comment!
