Such a beautiful song and equally beautiful performance from these two Aussie legends. John and Olivia were such great friends and performed together on quite a few occasions and always incredibly done. John’s voice in this is epic and that note towards the end I think John was actually higher than Olivia’s. Amazing.

Try John Farnham and Olivia Newton John doing a duet from the Main Event Concert, the song is "Please Don't Ask Me", also John and Anthony Warlow from the same concert doing Opera and joking around, singing "Granada". I think you will enjoy both. (Sorry haven't learnt how to do links yet.)

This was actually written about the Romans invasion of Britain and attempts at invading the Scotts (hence "all roads lead to Rome") but it definitely resonates with the British invasion of Australia and the disposession of Aboriginal peoples. I love this song so so much. Thanks for the great reaction.❤ IMO (and I don't really care if you agree or not), I think the time has come to change the date for Australia Day celebrations.

From that same performance ONJ revised her hit song from Grease singing "You are the one that I like" with another of her favourite John's, this time being John Farnham. She even puts on Sandy's same sexy black leather jacket that she wore in the movie.

John and Livvy started out together at 16 and 17. They became friends for life and both were always here whenever a charity concert needed them. Livvy’s cancer centre she built in Melbourne holds a walk every year to keep it funded. She was at the start of every walk. Now her daughter and niece are. This song was one of John’s but now I think we all prefer this duet. John’s voice didn’t change when he stopped smoking. I have a recording of him singing at 16 before he was known, the songs on that album go well into his smoking years and for someone who never had a voice lesson he is amazing. Very few people can afford to smoke here and I do not remember the last time I saw someone smoking. I do remember about 18 months ago watching a person pay $72.00 for one pack.

Fantastic reaction, Torben. John is the greatest, and I went to the Chain Reaction concert about six time. It was absolutely amazing. John has never, ever disappointed us. He's the best!! The GOAT!!!!

The last time we will ever see such legends of music and friendship together. How could you not tear up. The looks given between eachother is as honest and soo loving as one could ever get.

We are so blessed to have these gorgeous videos today to still enjoy the performances of these Aussie Legends....

Thanks for reacting to this especially now as it’s just on 12 months since Australians failed to vote for an Indigenous Voice to our Parliament. John supported the vote by allowing “your the voice” to be used by the yes campaign. Many of his “fans” were up in arms saying he was never political!! This song right here is about exactly the issue- dispossession of land and culture by a dominant invading country. The unique issue in Australian is that despite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living here for thousands of years the British declared there was no people here. John has always sang about political and world issues and I love him for that. A man of principle❤❤❤❤

They both emerged on the scene at the same time, in the same town. They have been good friends ever since. 😊

Those song was a hit for John several years before but turning this into a duet with Livvy was perfection. The best duet by 2 great singers.
