Ron, thanks for sharing the development of your 275X racing program 😊
Yes sir, thanks for your support from day one!
Well done guys, that's one baaaad bitch!
Love and hate this shit all at the same time truer words have never been spoken
Got the trick stuff hidden. I don’t blame you
Nice shirt over the intake.....
exactly where is the intake located on a transmission?
Not that this is the topic, can I ask why you changed ECUs? Were you having issues with the old stuff? I know plenty of boosted guys that burnt up a lot of shit with that old system 😳😳😳😳?

We needed to update the wiring in the car and I been wanting to try something different so we took this opportunity to do it now.
When Ron Rhodes Speaks, People Listen! Great and Informative Video!
Great video! Been dealing with John & running his stuff on all our leaf spring car's since 99. It's funny how people that don't have a leaf spring car act like it's as mysterious as drum brakes
iirc they are 3500$ …
Awesome info!

I am not thrilled with the "spacer" solution mentioned in the video. Seems to me to keep things tight without bending the perch mounting plates, would be solved by simply adding a pair of intermediate locking nuts to each all-threaded bolt (like u bolts have had for years) and then tightened up after the leaf springs are clamped sufficiently. It would add a step to assembly, but it would not be a "guess" solution like measuring for the needed custom spacers heights.
There isn't enough room there for a nut to do what you're recommending. The width of the bolt pattern would need to be wider to allow more room.
.
Leaf Spiring Army marching to the front fer the win lol, Congrates on youtube & thanks fer teaching folks economic racing u can still haul asss & have a Blast.
Don't miss out on Heaven seek Jesus✝️ salvation repent from wrong doing and ask for forgiveness🙏 D/load audio Bible and listen/read start in John. get ready for a amazing changed life full of peace, joy, hope and strength please don't delay you could die tomorrow and end up in Hell🔥 it's the best decision anyone could make in there lifetime 😊
I'm surprised how thin the leaf springs are with the amount of HP and torque a drag car has thanks for sharing.
Badass sir thanks for the update have a great week ok later 🇺🇸 💪🏼🏁
I have Assasin bars on my s10 trying to find a good bar angle. You said roughly 2 degrees of angle on caltracs, but i assume thats running from the axle up 2 degrees to the front mount? My truck sits really low and almost all my adjustment holes put mine going down to the front mount.
Yea thats the issue when you get them low! You can space your lower bracket down so it puts more angle in it. I recently had an S10 with the same issue and ended up having Funkhouser make me longer lower mount.
Pretty sure merrilat has perches
I think hes hiding dumps under the shirt... love your channel!
I always thought you add preload to the right bar if the car goes left and vica versa?
Nope put preload on the side that is pulling. Puts more weight on that tire and pushes the other way.
Leaf spring legends 🔥 keep up the great work!
Didn't know you had a channel. Instantly subscribed! Do you check wheelbase/steer ahead on each side after setting everything up or just 1 flat adjust with preload if it moves 1 way or another down track?
Yea we just add as needed when it pulls to one side or the other.
You guys make some damn fine racing components. Glad I found your youtube, keep at it!
I loved 😍 my favorite car with that kind of suspension setup, when I see it the first time and went down against 4link and beat them, that when you say ,my think works,🔥💪
Great informative video thank you for the information
Leafsprings to the front
Awesome video great content 👍
Who makes the lower spring plates? I have all the Calvert stuff under my 68’ but the added adjustment of those looks appealing. Thanks for the info!
I like the shout-out to Funkhouser. I live a mile or two from his shop, and I had him make some adjustable rear perches for me. They are beautiful. I have been keeping up with you for a few years, and you are a hero to a lot of us leaf spring racers out here. Glad you started a channel, and enjoy the content. You are covering things that racers face every day. Hope to see the channel grow.
Loved the podcast guys. Ron Rhodes, you’re a legend, not only up here in the northeast & at Cecil, but the world. I remember when I was like 8 years old watching the Camaro pull a wheelie every pass & at the superstallions races. Me & my dad watch all your videos. My dad (Bob Lunner) said he made you some lead ballast bars years ago. And Ronny, you’re doing a great job with the filming & editing. Keep it up!
WOW thats awesome! Thanks for the kind words! We still use those weight bars, tell pops I said hi!
@ will do! Keep the vids coming!
Interested in the perches also
