What is this, amateur hour?!?!? No band guy swinging his arms, dressed like everybody’s embarrassing ass Dad, pretending o control things like a beta cuck incel dweeb chester molester?!?!?
The horn snap just before the big ballad hit will never not be extremely satisfying.
Chills 4:46
I don't get why some of the players attack so hard with the tongue, I assume they are taught this way. Just as a preference I prefer softer intonation. Can really notice on this video especially from lower trumpet and some of baritones.
It’s because there are so many players that the attack has to be perfect or else it’s gonna sound completely like shit. The caveat to this is that the attack is super punchy because all of that sound is starting very loud very quickly
good work guys yall sound great!!
Is it just me or is it a lack of fluidity with marching individually and collectively? What is wrong with the marching in drum corps nowadays????? And these were the champeens!!!!!
I don’t understand how you can play something on the beat and your feet hit the ground slightly behind the beat.
2021 gang
And if you go down to where the field is and take a left you’ll find me working concessions probably giving someone a Gatorade missing half of their performance 😃
Blue Devils in the background 3:35
Holy shit that solo was dog shit why didn’t y’all just make him play the written one
I mean the solo was pretty good
Gila mello nya
1:40
Ive always wanted to buy a mellophone to learn to rip that ending mello part. SO sick.
do it man, it's so fun to play
The whole finisher is so fun on mellophone… I was curious so about 3 years ago I sat down and learned it by ear and I was so glad cause it’s stupid fun
something very epic happened right after this
What are they playing at 2:23??? I just swear I know the name but can't figure it out
The canyon
4:50 THOSE MELLOS BE SCREAMING
Mello Jump at 2:49 :)
I don't understand why this stuff isn't more mainstream? I don't get it. Marching band/drum corps is still like this, offshoot side interest thing not really seen by the public at large as a serious discipline/art form worthy of bigger recognition. I mean I was in marching band of course but the first time I heard a live drum corps warming up I was amazed at the spectacle I was beholding. Good grief I teared up once it was so powerful and beautiful. I thought more people need to know this exists! More people need to know that this kind of entertainment is available for them to consume and make their lives better.
I really wish it was.
Talent isn't often rewarded with fame. If this was mainstream it would be very expensive for the music industry. It's cheaper to highlight less talented "artists" that only require about 10 people to produce with little to no practice.
I would love to see this Live .
Boring. No one cares about tonality and intonation… but they SHOULD
my thoughts exactly
Nice beefy sound from the low voices during the trio
Their baris have too much edge to their sound. They always have in my opinion.
4:22 ill never get over that attack from the mellos
Hope they had a fire extinguisher close by that hor arc because that was FIRE!
Go to 2:07 and look at that one light in the background on the right side of the screen. You're welcome.
How doesn’t this have more likes
I dont see it
@@jacobhanekamp2534 Right side of the screen in the back. The light turns on around 2:09 but I used 2:07 to kinda bookmark the spot
Holy crap
😂👍
The sheet metal in the 3rd Baritone at 1:49 actually sounded good
how have I never realized there aren’t trombones in scv
Nice.
16:37 It was soo loud in the auditorium and caught me off guard. Scared the hell out of me
I cant believe ive never seen this
4:46 what youre here for
I like listening to the part building up to the ballad in these lots becuz you can hear all the different brass parts blending
The Baritone Horn player at 4:06 is dreamy! Great job!
5:07 Those trumpets tho
All the Gold Kids lol😂
F*** yah! Great show. 6:27 was sexy. Color guard could use some fine tuning overall. Drum major: use more over exaggerated movements please. You’re very precise. Just be more bold with your movements! This was a lot of fun to watch. Wish I could have been in the stands that night.
They remind me of the clippers from Into the Badlands. 😄
The best clinic on how to NOT stagger breathe.
Yeah.. whoever that was.. man, that was just something else. I couldn't imagine that it was an issue all season, else he would probably have been chewed to shit
what are they playing at 1:13 ?
Trey Serrano canyon
Trey Serrano The Canyon by Phillip Glass
Not even kidding, somewhere I can hear the sustain from last year!
I guess corps don’t care about fidgeting or movement anymore. That shows my age but I literally got yelled at for emptying spit. Weird times for dci.
Why am I just realizing that I was next to you during this
Is that Matt harloff?
@IamTheRealGiraffe Hey its you
@IamTheRealGiraffe Lol of course
IamTheRealGiraffe phew
Dan Lozada, I swear I’ve seen that name before. Ah yes the scv 2018 lot video I’ve watched at least 20 times.
YAAAAAAAAAAAHHH MY BOI TUBA JOHN PLEASE LIKE AND SUPPORT
Yooooo 7:27, that trumpet player playing everything up sounds sooooooo nice!
I would bet that's their screamer(s) warming up w/ the corps.
William Charles Longwell 3 pretty sure those were just their Trumpet 1s
@@diminuendo61 lol I see that now. I'm really masochistic and decently blessed with a high range on the mellophone, so I do that kinda thing all the time, just play the whole thing an octave or 2 up
@@leopirdas6577 can confirm mike was just fooling around lol
@@An_Ikea_Desk I had a feeling 🤣 I do the same thing because I'm a jackass 🤣 I love messing with the trumpets because our good players graduated last year and our best first trumpet struggles with a high C
Man, they practice that one chunk by beatboxing, that's pretty creative!
Is so cleannnnnnnn
The snap at 5:24 looks robotic!
I literally yelled "HA" lol
@@elijahhollis1957 I went "OOH"
Nut buster each time they do the snap
What’s the warmup called the one they just first played???
5:51 ??????
What?
